Indivara frowned, blue eyes flashing with irritation at the question. “Yes,” she snapped, still scowling. “By a fireplace or over candles,” she continued. Her expression didn’t change, but she could hear Venseth scolding her in the back of her mind and she could tell by M’dox’s expression that he was terrified of her. Usually this would excite the temperamental young woman, but it was really just somewhat pathetic. Besides, B’jin was harping on her about being nicer to people and bettering her reputation. No one would want to be in her class because she was a woman, on blue. But to be a bitch at a drop of a hat seemed more than B’jin could embrace. Indivara felt otherwise; no one would respect her if they did not fear for her lives. It was not exactly the best kind of respect, but it was the one she was going to angle for.
What else did an apparent idiot need to know about a firelizard egg? She’d told him it would Hatch in a couple of days, and now she’d told him to keep it warm and heated. Scowling with renewed ferocity, Indivara grimaced. “You’ll need to keep dried meat on hand. Fresh is better. When it hatches, or you’ll lose it.” She raised both eyebrows, forcing M’dox to meet her gaze. “Anything else?” The sarcastic twang in her voice indicated there better not be.
