V’ler was happily passed out in bed, enjoying a fellis-enduced sleep. While he was able to go the day with only a small dose when the strain of the day started to take a toll on him –that usually meant he had banged his hand against random items far too often—he did indulge in a larger dose for bed. He was worried the pain would keep him up and no doubt he’d roll over or Indivara would smack him in her sleep. So he made sure he would get a full night’s rest. So it wasn’t an immediate reaction to her begging that Indivara received.
He came to with a bit of mumbling and squinting eyes that did not want to stay open. So he let them slide shut again. “Hm?” that was the only word he could manage. He would have rolled over if he had the strength. As it was, he ended up smacking his hand against his forehead, having forgotten it was injured and had only wanted to rub at his eyes. With a yelp, V’ler sat up and stared at Indivara with growing awareness, though he still didn’t know what was going on.
At least he didn’t until he felt the all too familiar curls of list coming through his bond with Veeth. Before he could even reach out and question what his dragon was up to, Veeth was answering him.don’t worry! I said I wouldn’t chase until you were healed and I’m staying right where I am. Although it’s Ajaaskath and Kerrin and you know I adore her. There was a wistful sigh and V’ler almost felt bad for keeping Veeth grounded. Almost.
“Kerrin’s flying. You woke me to tell me this?” he stared at Indivara though even his groggy mind didn’t think that was likely. There must be an emergency to inspire such panic and he waited for the explanation while carefully using his right hand to brush his hair from his face and sleep from his eyes.
