Egg wobbled and rattled. Lymsleia held her breath. She was nervous and happy and curious. Her first sight of a baby dragon had been a young green. And now it had a name- or rather the new rider had called it out. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to steady herself internally.
She could feel her pulse quicken, and her heartbeat rise. Her physiciology she was away of, but there was little she could do to stop it. She'd always thought they were real, dragons. She'd always thought they were amazing. But watching the little green pick its lifemate had made her heart swell.
She wanted it. She was envious of it, the cries of joy from the new rider, she swept the stands momentarily, and then focused her attention back to the eggs. She needed to focus on them , be alert. That was one of those things she'd be told. Dragon-babies were a little.. disoriented on hatching and like all infants had somewhat unsteady motor control. Lymsleia had seen Erisi and smiled. "I thought you were going to sit up in the stands today." she said cheerfully. She'd remembered his reluctance. "Decided to come and test your luck and reflexes with the babies?" Though she'd caught site of the hatchingling near Erisi and Kerrin and for a moment marveled. She thought for sure Erisi's sour attitude would act like dragon repellent, but it was Kerrin who made her smile.
He was positively as curious as the dragon, she loved it. She wiggled her shoulders a bit, as the drying hair on her back, clung to her in the heat of the sands.
