To be perfectly fair, this was Far's first Hatching. He'd been here for a long bit of time and then some, and he'd certainly gained some experience with dragons- mostly using the laid-back and absolutely stealable (Har Har) Ilveriath as his test subject- but this time he'd be meeting BABY dragons. And that made a difference. The tall man was practically vibrating as he waited for instructions. And when he was given them, he jumped obediently. He was feeling particularly jittery, and there was little he could do about it.
His eyes went to the eggs he'd touched first, and he grinned, remembering. One of them had been a friendly little wherry, at least. He waved to the Gold as he was shunted off onto the Sands, giving her a Wide Grin (Trademarked in every Hold.) This was an exciting time.
I'shan had asked him how he felt about his chances, and his answer had surprised him. He'd thought he'd be greedier. Thought he would want it more. But right now, he was just happy to be a part of this. And he was pretty hopeful, because if he failed to Impress this time, he didn't want to wait three more turns (or more!) before he got another shot.
