[color=#005500]Hair: Black hair that is meticulously maintained and styled regularly throughout the day. He used to wear it longer in a shaggier style but in recent turns has shortened it which helped remove the bit of curl that tried to take over. While the fringe is often worn down or brushed just to the side, J’ver has been known to style it back on special occasions. [color=#005500]Height: 5’9 [color=#005500]General Appearance: J’ver has a slender build that lends to the popular belief that male greenriders are feminine. He has just enough defining muscle in his arms to show that while he doesn’t work out, he does indeed have a dragon that requires regular primping with bathing and oiling. His torso, however, doesn't show such definition and some would call him soft if not simply too skinny. He has a long face with slightly hollowed cheeks and a nose that draws the eye in a nearly unflattering way from profile but suits him straight on. His lips, a thin upper and a slightly plumped lower, were made for smirking and sneering and J’ver takes advantage of that fact, often smug in what he says and does. Despite the long and hot summer days and the length of time he has been a dragonrider, exposed to the elements and not tucked away indoors, J'ver is of fair skin. His pale complexion does not help the image people have of him lurking in the shadows to catch sought after information. While that wouldn't be an unfair assessment, J'ver simply prefers to avoid being tanned, finding he feels dirty when his skin can no longer reflect the moonlight. [color=#005500]Dressing Style: His dressing style is, in a word, tacky. His pants are usually rather normal though they are a snug fit but it’s the shirts that draw the eye. They are typically in bright colours, sometimes in two or more colours that shouldn’t always go together. If he’s feeling ambitious or wants to pay to get another tailor to do it, patterns will appear on the otherwise hodgepodge shirt. That isn’t to say his wardrobe insists entirely of such atrocities. His riding leathers are, of course, rather uniform and unremarkable and he does own some plain black cloth clothing as well for when he needs to be a bit stealthier in his endeavours. [color=#005500]Personality [color=#005500]I pledge my allegiance to all things dark and I promise on my damned soul to do as I am told [color=#005500]General Character Traits: J'ver often does things that will benefit him in some way but yearns for the approval of those ranked higher than him. Given how greenriders are viewed, most riders would be considered ranked higher but J’ver only sees the Weyrleader and Weyrsecond as truly above him and it is S’kef’s approval that he desires the most for a vast array of reasons. One of those reasons is power. He seeks power but knows he will never manage it on his own and latches onto those that have the best potential of achieving power and control and can be manipulated into taking him along for the ride. J'ver has no issues with carrying out the brunt of the work, especially if he's led to believe certain aspects were his idea. So while he is intelligent, there are times when even he can be manipulated in turn. He is rather flamboyant and dramatic in gestures and dress with some saying he is was one step away from being a goldrider with the attitude he has. J'ver is extremely cunning and will play both sides of an argument to his advantage and looks for openings and weaknesses in people he can use. He can be perfectly charming in front of high-ranked riders and those he needs to play in order to get something or win their opinion on a matter for S’kef. Rather obedient and usually successful in his tasks though occasionally there is a slip up and results aren’t exactly as predicted. J'ver fancies himself independent but he loves to be dominated by strong, larger men. While this is mostly true in the bedroom it can come into play in every day life as well. It would likely qualify as a kink since he generally prefers being the one in control and ordering others around but there are times when being at someone's mercy is exciting and a good way to let loose, or, when not in the privacy of his home, it's a good way for someone else to take the fall when everything goes wrong. His crafty mind very rarely stops plotting. He's only social when he has to be, finding most people simply not worthy of his time or being in his stellar presence. He does, however, enjoy the gatherings of greenriders when they discuss those that they have flown. It's a good way to learn who he wants in bed, a way to find out gossip on any potential troublemakers or targets, but it's also fairly mindless chatter and sometimes even a genius needs to indulge in such acts. When he's not on the job or in the mood for company, J'ver enjoys spending his time alone in a garden, both tending to the flowers and sitting amongst them with a glass of wine. Those that don't know him well would mistake him for a quiet man and a deep thinker but if his thoughts aren't on new ways to get to the top then they're on the horrible fashion sense people around him seem to have. Likes:     Gardening: When he’s not out trying to ruin lives, J’ver enjoys tending to flowers, finding the act enjoyable and relaxing.     Approval: While he won’t flat out say that he craves someone complimenting his hard work or that he wants to be regarded in high favour to someone, J’ver is highly motivated by the approval of those he latches onto and has a bit of a nervous breakdown when he fails in a task. He hates having to report back when he didn’t succeed and being given a look of disappointment and yelled at.     Power: J’ver craves power, plain and simple. Since he is not in a position to wield it himself, he seeks out someone with similar interests and goals as him.     Tailoring: Since most people don’t understand the genius that is J’ver and simply cannot grasp the designs he wants, he often makes his own shirts and has even been known to gift S’kef a creation from time to time. Dislikes:     Women: He views women as weak and generally in the way unless, on the rare occurrence,  they have something that benefits him. He will go out of his way to avoid flirting with females or even socializing with them. If a female rider should happen to win his flights, J’ver leaves as soon as he can and spends the day sulking, complaining, and in the bath until he feels clean again.     Yelling: J’ver is not a fan of raising his voice, though it sometimes reaches shrill notes when in a cat fight with other divas, or having someone raise their voice at him. He finds he doesn’t need to exert such energy and become so undignified because of someone else and feels inadequate when those in higher ranks than him yell and berate him.     Getting Dirty: While he is perfectly okay with doing the dirty work and getting his hands dirty, J'ver hates to be literally filthy. Mud, dust, food, paint, and blood coating any part of his body or clothing disgusts the greenrider and sends him into dramatic fits of injustice before running off for a bath. Habits/Mannerisms: J’ver used to twirl a lock of hair when he was plotting evil or being particularly smug with someone but since he cut it not too long ago, he still has a tendency to try. Some pieces can still serve the purpose but for the most part he ends up clicking his tongue in annoyance and giving up. The clicking of his tongue has also carried over into regular annoyances throughout the day. J'ver also has a regal air to him from the way he sits to how high he holds his head. This especially comes through when he feels he has the upper hand in anything. A soft throaty chuckle is often accompanying his nose up in the air. Strengths: J’ver is smart and cunning, knowing the best ways to ensure his survival whether during the plague or weyr politics. Should someone end up beating him at his own game, J’ver is resilient and will bounce back to try again, though there is often a period of fuming at being bested or worrying about any punishment that should befall him. Weaknesses: J’ver’s confidence and ego often lead to his downfall. While he is a man that likes to be prepared and stay one step ahead of everyone else, he sometimes gets too cocky and doesn’t do a final fact check and can land in trouble or his plans being blown out of the water. Due to his need to please his superiors, J’ver is also a tad paranoid about his failures and will often worry when it happens that he will disappoint the man that sent him out on tasks. A laughter that would leave anyone wondering if he’s having a nervous breakdown often appears the moment he realizes he has failed and has to report back. Background Story: 185 AL: Mairina and Jaimiveridan meet at a Hatching at High Reaches Weyr and are immediately smitten with one another. 186-187 AL: Mairina and Jaimiveridan, living in Nabol, attempt several times to have a child, all ending in miscarriages. 188 AL: Jaimiveridis is born in Nabol. He is the first child to his parents to be carried to term. They don't risk having another child given how rough the pregnancy was on Mairina. 189-193 AL: Jaimiveridis is spoiled and the center of his parents' world.Is often called Jai by his family and care takers. 194-195 AL: Jaimiveridan dies of illness, leaving his family to grieve for nearly a turn before Mairina can longer take being away from her blood family. She packs up Jai and returns to High Reaches Hold. 196-199 AL: Jai makes friends with his cousin, learning quickly how much they can get away with thanks to their bloodline and his uncle being the Lord Holder. 200 AL: He is Searched and despite his comfortable life at the Hold and promises of learning tailoring, Jaimiveridis agrees to go to the Weyr. 201 AL: Jaimiveridis Impresses green Rilaleeyth at age 13. 202 AL: Rilaleeyth has her first flight near the end of the turn, shocking Jaimiveridis with the aftermath. He is bruised, sore, and refuses to speak about how he felt waking up next to a man twice his age. 203 AL: The days pass mostly without incident save for bickering with other weyrlings, more awkward flights, and learning to live with a dragon always nosing around in his mind. Jaimiveridis graduates and takes on the name of J'ver. 204-207 AL: Life seems to be going perfectly with flights and learning the ins and outs of tailoring. 208 AL: Rilaleeyth is finally caught by a blue with a female rider. J’ver doesn’t take this well as his previous dislike of women turns into absolute disgust with how repulsed he is by the female form. 209-211 AL: J’ver begins selecting his lovers with a cautious hand, preferring to find those he can manipulate into doing his dirty work for him and will take easy repayment. 212 AL: J’ver finally finds himself in a horribly rough flight that leaves him with a dislocated shoulder, sprang wrist, and a lot of deep bruising. The only consolation to his vanity is his face received only a slap with no visibly marks showing. 213-214 AL: A brownrider that has the Weyrleader’s favour is latched onto in a secret relationship. J’ver decides he misses the perks of being a Lord Holder’s nephew and craves the power. 215 AL: The plague begins and J'ver does his best to keep away from other dragons that seem to be showing signs of illness. 216 AL: The decision to travel South is made and J'ver, not knowing what to expect in the unexplored land, takes along one of his favourite non-rider playmates. Tarrin is ten turns his junior but also built and handsome, both qualities J'ver finds important for their time in seclusion. 217 AL: Tarrin builds a small shelter with Rilaleeyth's help in getting materials while J'ver watches. The same is done whenever Tarrin hunts or goes fishing though J'ver makes sure the man is well rewarded for all his efforts. 218 AL: J'ver starts to enjoy gardening after starting it on a whim early in the turn from seeds of fruit or the edible plants Tarrin had found. 219 AL: What was originally just some bickering turns into larger fights that result in Tarrin wandering off for several days, leaving J'ver alone at their 'home' to fend for himself. Thankfully they have food in storage and Rilaleeyth can't stand to see her bonded suffer and J'ver never learns any lessons from the treatment. 220 AL: Nirinath's call to reunite is heard and it is with great relief that J'ver and Tarrin pack up their few items and leave behind their makeshift paradise. 221 AL: Disappointment sets in when it's realized they won't be returning North and it's time to rebuild once again with Tarrin doing most of the work. J'ver settles back into life amongst dragonriders and after several months accepts the new Weyr and the potential it holds. 222 AL: While some riders attempt to return home, J'ver only considers the idea briefly before determining staying in Katila Weyr as being the far wiser choice. The North no longer holds his interest and powerful men are beginning to make themselves known amongst the riders. J'ver is happy where he is, especially after dismissing Tarrin from his life. The boy served his purpose and is no longer needed. 223-224 AL: J'ver continues to enjoy his flights and attempts to get out of as much work as he can but accepts some chores he'll have to at least show up for in order to give off a good impression. 225 AL: A terrible storm destroys much of the Weyr, J'ver's hut included. Devastated, he manipulates a few people into helping him rebuild on the promise of assisting them later on though he doesn't say when or how. 226 AL: Finally accepts the few weyrbrats hanging around him when he's sewing as impressionable minds he can mould to his liking and gives more lessons to those eager to learn about fashion. 227 AL: New Weyrleader D’ren appoints brownrider S’kef as his Weyrsecond. J’ver starts to pay more attention to S’kef in secret, learning what he can about the man that could possibly elevate his status. 228 AL: After nearly a turn of keeping his intentions to himself, J'ver finally decides that S'kef is perfect to latch onto for an easy life after learning what he can about the man's interests and recalling several flights they had shared. 229-231 AL: J'ver is still at S'kef's beck and call, doing the dirty work the Weyrsecond can't be seen having a part of. Personality:     Likes: Pretty things, her reflection, swimming, having orders to follow.     Dislikes: Being thought of as dumb because she prefers to follow others and not be left to her own devices. Being ignored, and the rain.     Habits/Mannerisms: Given her sensual nature, Rilaleeyth will nuzzle with fellow dragons and any riders she takes a liking to.     Strengths: She is extremely caring and loyal, both to J’ver but a few of her draconic friends as well.  Despite coming off as docile or meek, she will do what she can to assist friends.     Weaknesses: Often gives in easily, letting stronger personalities walk all over her and tell her what her opinion is.     General Personality: Rilaleeyth is sensual and submissive. She takes great pride and pleasure in being a green and loves being with larger dragons with a dominating personality. For the most part she is rather docile but she has moments where she tries to prove her worth to others and acts out in a display, not of aggression, but independence. While the man he had immediately latched onto thanks to his timid nature and being a complete pushover did work harder to make up for J’ver’s own lack of interest in collecting anything, it had still taken a lot of energy to supervise the job. Some people simply couldn’t be left unattended for more than a few minutes without the world falling apart around them. J’ver had also given in and did a bit of gathering himself in order to keep the other man’s good faith so he could be used again at a later date. Overall, it had been a stressful day and a long soak in the bathhouse seemed like a marvellous idea and one he had been partaking in when the dragons started making a ruckus. J’ver attempted to ignore the noise but Rilaleeyth, sitting daintily atop the building started in as well which only irritated her rider more. [color=#005500]The little gold’s rider is dying, J’ver! Everyone is in such a panic. It sounds horrible! J’ver sighed and rolled his eyes before easing himself out of the hot water. It didn’t seem like he would be enjoying the remainder of his soak if what his green said was true. I’m sure it’s not that bad. No one would be stupid enough to leave the girl unattended long enough for her to be harmed in any manner. Ask some of the dragons that are bound to have gathered near the site by now. Really, did he have to think of everything? He began towelling himself off, spending time to carefully work at his hair when Rilaleeyth finally had some information. The girl is with the Master Healer, other Healers, some weyrlings, and the riders of Larrikith and Ayyonth are there as well. No one seems too panicked in that room. Larrikith and Ayyonth… B’jin and R’nd were there? That was a bit odd but then again the bluerider did have an appetite for the young Candidates and Weyrlings when he wasn’t focused on the far older greenrider while B’jin was linked to Talian and Jada. Then there is nothing to worry about. Come now, my relaxing bath has been ruined and now I’m in the mood for a nice drink, though I need some supplies first. Once dressed, J’ver made quick work of leaving the bathhouse with Rilaleeyth taking them to the Dining Hall soon after. As he walked through the Hall for the pantry, J’ver debated what kind of drink he wanted, thinking on herbs that would blend well together. With the dragons that still hadn’t been pacified, perhaps a drop of fellis in his tea would also be order if he wanted any peace that night. With another dramatic sigh for how hard his day had been – done solely for himself as no one else was around – J’ver slipped into the storage room, eyes narrowing in on the shelf he wanted. Two seconds later and he was grabbing his chest, convinced he was about to die of heart failure when something or rather, someone, stirred several feet away. Who on Pern would fall asleep in the pantry? Oh, of course, “it’s you. I should have figured. Do you have no shame? No self-preservation?” J’ver’s lips curled up in disgust as cold pale blue eyes took in the other man that was still shaking off the remnants of sleep. Honestly, how could anyone consider sleeping in such a place to be of a wise decision when so many of their fellow riders would jump anyone lying still long enough, especially when they were as adorable as the blonde before him? It had to horribly suck not being as intelligent as him.
