General Appearance: R’jit is a bit stocky. He’s toned from tending to his dragon for so long but he’s not nearly as buff as many of his fellow blueriders. He likes to indulge in favourite meals and some sweets and it shows. The fact that he’s below average in height for men certainly doesn’t help his appearance.

Dressing Style: Casual style for a casual man. R’jit only slightly believes that clothes make the man so he will never be seen in torn and stained clothing but he’s not out to win a beauty pageant either by continuously wearing the latest fashions. Riding leathers work fine for him as do cargo pants with a t-shirt or sweater on the colder evenings.

General Character Traits: R’jit is pretty mellow. There really isn’t much else to say about him and because of his relaxed nature and tendency to blend in thanks to his quiet nature, not much is known about him either. That isn’t to say he’s bland and completely hidden in the shadows since he is a man that enjoys social gatherings and a few glasses of wine and ale when given the chance. He’s extremely friendly and approachable despite not being an open book.

He’s proud of what he does, having always believed Searching was an honour as the Weyrs needed the new Candidates to help keep everything balanced to the natural order of things. The order to kidnap instead of properly Search had been hard to swallow and for a while increased the alcohol that had been swallowed. Still, R’jit followed orders as he’s not the type to rebel or go against the grain too much. He, like anyone else, isn’t completely compliant and enjoys his streaks of naughtiness but overall, his nose is kept clean.

He would be classified as one of the nicer blueriders running around since he doesn’t see the need to force his hand on anyone, not even greenriders. He doesn’t fully believe everyone should be treated equally but nor does he believe greenriders are there to be used and abused either. They are friends and drinking buddies so why play rough with them?

Habits/Mannerisms: Taps a finger on his cup of klah or alcohol in time to a song being performed or one in his head.

He loves the drink to the point of feeling like he can’t function without two cups in the morning. He’ll sip on it during the day as well if he’s enjoying downtime.

He doesn’t necessarily have to go swimming but R’jit enjoys lounging on the sand and watching his dragon or children play.

There’s just no need for that! Everyone has grumpy moments and he can’t blame them for that but people that are constantly miserable and seem to enjoy being in that state don’t rank too high on his list of favourite people.

Exercise:

He likes his shape and size and doesn’t feel like he needs to torture himself daily to change that.

Level-headed:

R’jit is very calm and many believe it is impossible to rile him up. Because of this, he is level-headed and can stay calm under pressure, being able to guide those that are panicking.

He has an ability to find a way to survive even the harshest of situations – social interactions included.

R’jit looks after those he cares for and always has a smile for those that need one.

He’s a proud man and wants everyone to know when something that pleases people is associated with him. He loudly proclaimed he had Searched the heartthrob R’nd is a good example of this.

Free time should be spent doing as little as possible. He works hard when it is absolutely needed but for the most part, he’s almost too laidback.

Spacing Out:

Every so often, R’jit loses himself in thought or simply the extreme nothingness and stares off into space. Sometimes it even happens with someone around and he might miss out on something that’s said.

202 & 12:

Standing for his first Hatching proves to be lucky and he walks away with a pretty blue at his ankles.

203-205 & 13-15:

Ranjit survives Weyrlinghood and graduates to become R’jit. Given his young age and only a budding interest in sex, Gamalieth has yet to chase.

206 & 16:

Their first flight resulted in a loss and a startling introduction into flight lust.

207-212 & 17-22:

Settles into his position at the Weyr as an accomplished Searchrider and a good flight partner to have as even in lust, he’s never overly heavy-handed and shows respect afterwards.

Goes out Searching for the upcoming Hatching and finds Orwind [(R'nd)] and successfully convinces the boy to return to Benden with him.

216 & 26:

The plague strikes and takes both of his parents and his brother. Unsure of the future but worried about losing Orwind who is so full of life and potential for a dragonrider, R’jit asks the teen to come with him.

217-219 & 27-29:

As exile stretches out and skills are tested to keep them alive, they realize they only have each other’s company. Budding sexual interest in a teenager and the sex drive of a man interested in both sexes end up colliding and introducing Orwind to a whole new way of thinking and appreciating friends.

Reunited at Katila, R’jit finds some of his old friends that survived and tries to pick up the pieces of his former life while building a new one under Tsuen and Nirinath’s ideals.

R’jit’s first child, a boy, is born after a union celebrating the survival of exile with [WOMAN]. A relationship begins.

224 & 34:

His first daughter is born to the same woman that had his son.

226 & 36:

Despite their friendship that remains intact, R’jit and [WOMAN] end their relationship and R’jit returns to the bachelor life.

Is glad to see another clutch and his hopes soar for the future with another gold. B’jin being publically lashed is horrifying and while he agrees discipline is always good, he doesn’t like seeing that old method returned.

Hasn’t said as much to R’nd but is proud of the younger bluerider and the relationship being built with B’jin. The boy is far too kind to everyone and deserves to find constant happiness in one person.

Has known some amazing female dragonriders and cringes a bit at the announcement that they no longer can wear an honorific. He doesn’t go against authority but with a few friends, he still calls them their honorific in private.

His hut is destroyed in the landslide and his world nearly destroyed as his youngest child and the mother are caught up in the wave of mud. Luckily, both survive and R’jit dedicates a lot of his waking time to helping others.

Adulthood: Gamalieth’s hide is the colour of the midnight sky on a clear night. It is a deep blue and almost entirely uninterrupted. Starting from his snout, working down his neck, along his side, and to the tip of his tail, is a lighter blue trail that almost seems like a wisp of clouds in the night sky passing by. The sails of his wings match that lighter blue.

Pre-plague, Gamalieth was one of the larger blues to be seen gliding across the sky but now with each new clutch that hatches, he appears to be on the smaller side of the dragon population.

Mindvoice: A deep rumble.

General Character Traits: Gamalieth is a very relaxed dragon. It takes a lot to get him riled up as he doesn’t see the need for such panicking. His mood is often contagious to those around him, helping to calm others and he always has an encouraging word for those that need it. As of late, that usually means his own rider when R’jit is lost in his own world of being lazy and not wanting to get to his task that’s waiting.

Habits/Mannerisms: Is a rather dainty eater and does his best not to get too dirty.
