B'jin groaned softly, fighting off the very bad idea of waking up. Waking up would be very, very unwise. He wasn't quite sure why that was, but more than any morning in his entire life, he knew that waking up was not something he should be doing. Unfortunately, he had already lost that battle, as a soft voice greeted him. By so doing, it dragged his lingering consciousness to the forefront, and B'jin hissed between his teeth as his senses kicked into gear.
"Shards!" His eyes flickered open, and he blinked several times before focusing on Talian. He was on his side, facing the young man. His right arm was numb from being laid upon, but judging by the obvious numbweed induced rash creeping up it, that was a good thing. Pins and needles were nothing compared to the pain that would shoot up once the numbness wore off. His left elbow was throbbing with a gentle insistence that told him something not good was going on there, too. He was almost afraid to move, lest something else hurt in the process. The greenrider had a high pain tolerance, but he was also mentally and physically exhausted and as a result, was unsure how much he could handle right about then.
"No, it is not!" he snapped irritably to Talian's greeting, scowling at the boy's happy face. "There is nothing good about mornings!" Mumbling under his breath about 'young people' and 'morning' and 'good' and 'the shards were those two words put together anyway?' B'jin jerked his arm out from under Talian with little regard to the younger man, sucking a sharp breath in between his teeth as the pins and needles flared. "Shards!"
B'jin blinked, once, then turned to frown at Talian as he cradled his numb arm, looking confused. "Repay me?" he asked, confusion utterly drenched in every syllable before realisation flashed across his face like lightning and he promptly fell off the bed with a loud crash. Swearing, with his left hand rubbing the back of his head, B'jin scrambled up on his knees, and peered at Talian with huge, round brown eyes.
"Thank Faranth!" He gasped, forgetting his soreness (even his damnable legs were painful this morning!) B'jin threw himself at Talian, wrapping his arms around the boy tightly and rocking slightly. He was crying, again, but laughter was in the breathy sobs. "Thank Faranth," he whispered, kissing Talian's temple. He leaned back, hands gently holding Talian's face as he just stared at him with delight before kissing the boy's forehead and wrapping him back up in a hug.
"I thought I'd lost you!"
