N'del mentally braced himself for some bizarre or morally questionable request as B'jin leaned in. The man was practically glowing with energy and excitement over whatever he had planned. It took a moment for the Greenriders words to sink in. Cooking lessons? It wasn't anywhere close to the wild ideas floating around his head in the few minutes that had pasted since B'jin had approached him. N'del smiled, nodding slightly to let the other man know he was following along so far, well sort of, he still felt vaguely confused about what B'jin wanted with him.
The gold lizard that appeared from between offered a few moments interruption as she made herself at home on B'jin's shoulder. N'del's eyes went wide with surprise as B'jin finished his request, his right hand coming up to brush thoughtfully against the stubble on his jaw. It was easy enough to guess the other man was trying to create some special meal for his mate.
N'del could remember planning surprises of his own for D'ken, though maybe none quite so ambitious. He nodded, giving B'jin a reassuring smile. "Of course. I'd love to." He fibbed just a little. If B'jin seemed to be putting a lot of effort into surprising his mate and N'del was happy to play some small part. He just hoped B'jin's cooking was fairly edible. "So where would you like to do the tasting? Someplace private I'm assuming?" They were closing in on the large building that now housed most of Katila's remaining population. He was terrible out of practice at attempting anything remotely sneaking, not that he'd ever been terrible good at it. D'ken had always known when he was up to something, his face had always been far to readable. "Maybe my room? I don't think anyone would bother us there." He offered, and by anyone he was mostly referring to R’nd.
