Another Clutch, another Touching. Alerae was excited by how big this clutch was. Lots of new babies to fill the lack from the Landslide. She closed her eyes and took a small breath to fight away her sudden tears. The Landslide had affected many, including her. She was struggling to recover from losing her daughter. Every time she closed her eyes, she was seeing her slipping from her hands and being crushed by the mud before she could react. K'tir was the only thing that had stopped her from going after the baby.
She shook herself. No, not something she should be thinking of in this situation. She waited in the group of Gold hopefuls, glancing at the other eggs. She was happy that S'kef had finally done something properly. It didn't make up for her being taken all those turns ago, but it was a start. As Tavynia moved away from the Gold egg, Alerae stepped up. She hoped that it might be here time, though as long as it was a healthy Gold, she would be happy. She knelt on the Sands and placed her hand on the shell, opening her mind to the dragonet inside.
Quirky
