S’ric didn’t care about the other Riders. He didn’t even register their arrival. He gave himself over to Dakrith’s lust and continued to circle. He wasn’t like some others that would attempt to pounce the Rider before the dragon was caught. No, he liked to time it with Dakrith’s claim. As the way it should be.
There was only a vague awareness that the Green Rider was in front of him. What he primarily saw, what he didn’t resist at all, was the call of the open sky and the rush of lust through the Bronze. Dakrith had been big before the move to Katila and remained one of the larger dragons for this flight. But it wasn’t his size that would help him win the catch, it was his stamina. The great Bronze spent all of his time hunting, swimming, flying, and even climbing. The burn that raced through his body was a familiar friend, welcomed and wanted as he watched the beauty flying away from him. [Dakrith]Fly sweet thing,[/Dakrith] he cooed in his rumbling voice. [Dakrith]Show me how much you wish to be caught![/Dakrith] His large wings fanned out, pulling at the air with every powerful down stroke.
He didn’t follow her weaving pattern but kept relatively straight. He judged where she was going, if she would turn, all by the beautiful play of muscle beneath her hide and the tells of her movements. Dakrith had flown enough Greens to know them well by sight. While every Flight could be different, he knew the base patterns of Dragon flight. He wasn’t even overly concerned about the others, but there was a rather large Brown that could be a problem. But there was only a vague awareness of them, as S’ric was of the other Riders arriving.
Dakrith’s talons clenched in want as he raced after her. He saw her falter a moment and shifted, not to catch her, but to try and prevent any others from swooping in on her. [Dakrith]Not yet, pretty. Fly higher for me,[/Dakrith] he purred. He wanted a nice, long exhausting flight. To have it end so soon was unthinkable! And, the wicked Bronze thought, if he could just catch her and carry her higher still, they’d have plenty of time together. Plenty of time for S’ric to work himself out on the Rider too. The size difference was such a blessing when he could hold onto them so tightly.
