Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! While he was counted as an unofficial assistant, R’nd still didn’t like imposing on B’jin’s duties too much and assuming he had a right to be a part of anything. So he had lingered that morning after B’jin had finally made his way out of bed – which made for a pouting bluerider being left behind – before finally getting up himself. He loved Hatchings and seeing all the new baby dragons bonding but the Touching had been something exciting the first time he had done it back in Benden and it had been especially thrilling to be able to do it again after the plague and Nirinath clutched again. It really wasn’t a surprise that he wouldn’t be able to stay away.
R’nd lurked on the edge of the Sands, doing his best not too seem creepy and like he was stalking someone as he lurked. He didn’t want to disrupt anything but he couldn’t help but see how some of the Candidates were doing. It was good to see Ryvian was out there again since the twin hadn’t quite been the same since his brother had Impressed without him. R’nd had always been close to sister and still felt the pain of being away from her so he understood on some level the loss Ryvian had felt but it wasn’t like they were truly separated. It was something he knew a lot of the Weyr was confused over but it seemed like whatever he felt when his hand touched upon a shell had changed something within and R’nd hoped for the best for Ryvian.
It was also nice to see Casa out there. He hadn’t seen much of her lately but he suspected that what happened to the last gold egg had affected many of the Candidates lined up for gold and Candidates in general. What if they placed their hand on a shell and it crumbled beneath their touch? R’nd could admit to having a slight moment of wondering about that as well that morning but distracting B’jin from leaving so early had managed to distract such horrible thoughts as well.
In the end, R’nd ended up watching B’jin with more regularity than the Candidates. His lover was gorgeous and filled with so much energy and life with the way he bounced around and chatted to everyone. When B’jin took control of a class, it was like a new man emerged with far more confidence than the usual that was displayed by the greenrider. It was a total turn on, especially when B’jin took control in the bedroom. R’nd really liked the idea of B’jin and beds right then and wondered how much longer the Touching would be. Could he steal B’jin away again? Would he have to wait? Would B’jin tell him to wait and take control? R’nd nearly fanned himself as he felt slightly flushed and froze when he realized what he was doing.
“Ayyonth…” there was plenty of lust in his feelings for B’jin right then that was his own but there was more than the usual and the way his vision was blurring to all but the greenrider in question had R’nd picking up on what his dragon was preparing to do. It seemed B’jin and even the creepy child the greenrider called a son had caught on as well. R’nd watched in confusion as Indamor tried to do something to B’jin and then Larrikith was screeching and Ayyonth was hot on her tail.
R’nd staggered a step as the full wave of lust hit him, mingling with his own until he truly did only see B’jin. When B’jin ran by him giggling deviously but also rather adorably, bluerider instincts kicked in and R’nd laughed and gave chase. It was a slippery journey but somehow he managed to keep his feet properly under him in the area that B’jin fell in; only to fall several yards after onto hands and knees. Carefully collecting himself once more, R’nd was back in the chase and growling softly at the door slamming in his face. Really now, who did such things?
His own slippery hands gave him a moment’s struggle with the door but it was finally wrenched open and the muddy footprints were spotted and jumped on. R’nd slid a few times down the hall from the mud on his own boots before finally finding the end of the trail. As Ayyonth made a play to grab his mate, R’nd laughed playfully though it was clouded with his own string of wickedness. “Hide and seek or tag?” He loved one-on-one games.
