D’hys had grown up around brownriders thanks to the random bonding times with his father and even after the exile, his friends tended to be more in the range of browns than other colours so he knew a bit about the way N’mall had handled B’jin. The look he was currently being given screamed submissive whipped puppy that would obey with one sharp command but D’hys wasn’t sure he wanted to give it. It wasn’t just the game he wanted to keep playing for maximum fun with B’jin’s head and R’nd’s as well but the idea of having the firelizard cozying up to Zeianth did not appeal to him at all.
A friendly smile was slapped into place and D’hys sucked up the courage to move in closer to the golden spawn of evil so he could pat B’jin lightly on the shoulder. “I’ll leave you to her then, my friend. Zeianth will pass on word to Ayyonth and Veeth for you just in case you end up needing them after all.” Mostly, he wanted Ayyonth to let his rider know B’jin had been in his close company again and wait for the new glares to come his way from R’nd. The younger bluerider was so much fun to pick on.
D’hys mounted up and Zeianth inclined his head to B’jin and Larrikith. He could be distant and give off a chilly vibe that matched his ice-patterned hide but most greens and the blues with gentle hearts always earned a bit of kindness out of him. D’hys patted his dragon, always amused by that quirk. So long as it didn’t land them in a situation he wasn’t prepared for, he never put a stop to such affection. “Good luck with R’nd and your shimmering …beauty,” the hesitation on what to refer to the firelizard as was barely acknowledged as D’hys thought quickly on his feet and continued to smile as he spoke. “I’m sure he’ll understand and accept her like you have.”
A salute-like wave was given and Zeianth was taking off to bring them home. As promised, the large blue dragon sent word to Veeth and Ayyonth both so the blues could fight over B’jin or ignore him as they saw fit but B’jin would know regardless that D’hys had upheld the original request and look like the shining star.
