One eyebrow slowly lifted as D’hys watched B’jin crawl around the ground. It was as good an invitation as he’d ever seen and the things he could do to the greenrider right then without anyone around to disturb them fluttered around his mind. Nothing was acted on, sadly, since he was still playing nice. If nothing else came out of his kindness, D’hys knew it would always drive R’nd insane and that was worth the time. If he could get B’jin in bed again and break up the happy union solely for entertainment purposes, then that would be a delightful bonus.
The fact they were surrounded by firelizard eggs and the angry bastards guarding them could return any moment helped kill the mood as well.
As did the way B’jin turned to show some of the eggs. D’hys involuntarily took a step back as if he had been slapped or the eggs were about to be thrown at him. Why did he have to keep rescuing greenriders from firelizards? A thoughtful, instead of worried, expression was put in place as D’hys tried to care about the eggs and look at them. He liked the idea B’jin had been going with that involved chucking them around. The Weyr didn’t need more of the creatures roaming around but he’d humour B’jin all the same. “That one,” he said pointing at an egg. It did look a bit bigger than the others which meant it probably held a bronze or a gold. Why B’jin cared about what the contents was after being attacked and then shoving eggs around was beyond the bluerider but lingering around a little longer seemed like the only way he’d get the answer.
“I didn’t know you were in the market for a firelizard, B’jin.” As far as he knew, the greenrider shared his views and didn’t seem the type to suddenly want one.
