Perfect timing, as always, Zeianth. D’hys had no real emotional attachment to B’jin in any way but seeing a pretty face scratched and about to lose an eye was a bit of a downer and the bluerider didn’t want to lose a potential toy because the man was foolish enough to not take better care of himself and ended up blind in one eye or lacking it entirely. A shudder was barely repressed as D’hys almost imagined sleeping with B’jin in such shape. R’nd could definitely keep the greenrider if that was going to be his new state of existence.
As it was, B’jin was looking a bit rough and in need of a little clean up and possibly a bath. Yes, he was definitely the type that thought soaking in a tub of hot water would fix everything. “Me too,” D’hys answered honestly as he finally crouched down to be on the same eye level as B’jin. There wasn’t a need to hide his hatred of the creatures right then, though he wasn’t always that good at doing so to begin with but B’jin had set the standard for the moment and it was pretty clear that after being attacked by a fair of flitters, that it was okay to hate on them. “They’re rather horrible and a nuisance.” All D’hys could think about was Z’ia’s collection and the way one of them – Chastity, perhaps? – kept trying to befriend him and get him to love her while the other evil one kept staring him down. They were definitely horrible little creatures.
Horrible, but not exactly as contagious and dangerous to dragons as D’hys and a large portion of the population had believed. Since dragons hadn’t dropped dead and his own contact with the foul beasts had yet to make him sick either, D’hys wasn’t afraid to be near them anymore but still didn’t encourage them to cozy up in his space. It was why he didn’t cower away from the idea of touching B’jin then, a careful hand reaching out to gently touch the man’s cheek even as he explained that was what he was going to do. D’hys had seen the way B’jin got a little skittish and panicked in certain situations and given his ex-mate was a brownrider that sometimes frequented the same circle as D’hys, he had a good idea as to why.
“The damage is shallow. You should heal without any issues.” His first aid skills were very minimal but D’hys knew enough to tend to scratches and do bindings to help with breaks until a Healer properly set to work on it. The firelizards had been vicious but it didn’t look like anything would scar and nothing needed emergency attention. That was probably a good thing considering B’jin’s eyes were red from crying. No doubt the pampered brat would have a freak out if anything was severely wrong.
