Indivara smiled slightly at the kiss to her cheek, an expression that clearly would have been shy on any other girl was just odd on the abrasive young woman as she slid forward, carefully keeping herself submerged and not looking at Ryvian. She did not want to see how he would react to her keeping hidden. She did not want to be laughed at, nor did she want to be pitied. When he pretended not to notice, (she could not bring herself to believe he might genuinely have not noticed), Indivara relaxed a little and followed him to the edge of the tub. She made no move to climb out of it, however, and instead waited quietly for him to leave the room.
When he doubled back with a spare towel, Indivara frowned suspiciously up at him. As his face vanished behind it, Indivara paused again, fully expecting him to make a game out of peeking at her. When he did not, she reluctantly climbed out of the water, and stepped into the towel, watching with amusement as he wrapped it around her. She arched an eyebrow at him, bemused, but made no comment as he whisked off to get the clothing.
The girl dried herself swiftly, not wanting to be caught in the process by his coming back and her with the towel covering less rather than more of her skin. When she had done that, and he still had not come back, the girl was at first amused, before becoming flustered. Was he even going to come back? Maybe he had fled to boast of his latest conquest and she would have to slink down to get her own clothing. Anger rippled through the girl at being duped, and she began to move towards the door when it opened, and she pulled up short with a blink.
“Took you long enough,” she snapped, irritated voice at odds with the wave of relief that was visible in her eyes and over her face; the girl’s thoughts and emotions as readable as ever. The girl stomped over to her fellow brat and snatched the clothes off him, shaking them out and stepping into the pants, before pulling the top down over her head. She tugged the towel off from around her body only when it was suitably covered, kicking it across the room to lie in defeat with the candidate robes Ryvian had abandoned. Tying the laces on the pants – he must have forgotten how short she was, because Indivara was quite sure she was going to break her neck in them – the girl turned frowning eyes on him.
“Aren’t you going to dress?” The look she got in answer to that caused blue eyes to roll dramatically, though her lips twitched in a denied smile. “C’mon,” She hiked the legs of the pants up, so they were at least allowing her toes to be visible under the pool of material, and gave Ryvian a gentle shove towards the door. “We’ve got about two hours before that shitting little monster wants to be fed again and I’m hungry!” She shoved him again, urging him to move faster, despite her own slight limp. Damn, she’d forgotten she was in possession of so many muscles!
