Ayyonth did forget to push a bit harder against B’jin’s mind but when his reaction came to something Larrikith said afterward, all was forgiven and made right again. Their humans really were the best! Never a dull moment and it was only further proved by the way B’jin hesitated in climbing aboard. R’nd looked a little worried though Ayyonth didn’t sense anything else like being offended. Some people never rode another dragon after they had their own just like some didn’t want anyone else on their dragon without them present. There was, however, quite a bit of relief coming from R’nd once B’jin resigned himself to the idea and scrambled up.
R’nd placed one hand over those of his lover’s wrapped around his waist for a reassuring touch. It hadn’t occurred to him that this would be something unnatural and if it had, R’nd likely would have suggested they walked quickly and deeply into the surrounding forest. As it was, he only offered comforting squeezes to the hand under his until Tyrrisath was mentioned. R’nd shifted to look back at B’jin and frowned with a touch of confusion over the statement but he didn’t comment on it since it could have been from before Impressing Larrikith and focused on the currently more important question. “We are. Ayyonth says there’s another clearing just big enough for him to land in that’s not too far from the group but far enough that we can enjoy our stolen time however we want.”
Ayyonth’s landing was surprisingly smooth given the space he was working with and R’nd praised his dragon multiple times as they slid down from his back. B’jin was quickly trapped within arms as soon as they both had their feet on the ground and R’nd examined his friend with a hint of worry. “I hope that wasn’t too uncomfortable for you, love.” A soft and lingering kiss was placed on the centre of B’jin’s forehead and a hint of a smile was on his lips as he pulled away. “I enjoyed flying with you, though, if that counts for anything.”
