Exploring [R'nd]

I’m always up for a bit of a laugh at your expense, my dear, Larrikith teased lightly, snorting in amusement. Not the type I’m worried about! The green laughed, shuffling her wings as she shook her head and nudged at Ayyonth’s shoulder before prancing off towards the main gathering. Bouncing and skipping past people and dragonets alike, Larrikith delighted in the way they all skittered out of her way as if she would actually be so careless as to actually step on them.

B’jin leaned around R’nd a little to look at Ayyonth, knowing by the expression on R’nd’s face that the dragon had said something interesting. He himself could hear a static-murmur on the edge of his mind that indicated the blue had intended to include him, but forgotten to account for B’jin’s lack of notable dragon-hearing skills. Judging by R’nd’s expression and the airs of entertainment washing off of Ayyonth’s lovely blue hide, B’jin was fairly sure he didn’t really want to be in on whatever teasing Ayyonth was delivering.

“Ah,” B’jin hesitated visibly when Ayyonth lowered himself, brown eyes flickering around the area for Larrikith. “Where’s my dragon?” I’m not going. You get to ride the pretty blue. You like riding his rider enough, thought you’d like to perch on him too. B’jin’s jaw worked soundlessly for several moments, before he managed a strangled and outraged ‘Larrikith!’ Flushed crimson, B’jin allowed R’nd to guide him closer to the much larger dragon, and B’jin eyed him apprehensively; he’d never ridden anyone else’s dragon before.

After hesitating for several more moments, B’jin carefully scrambled up, out of synch with Ayyonth’s shape compared to Larrikith, a frown furrowing his eyebrows as he settled down behind R’nd, wrapping his arms tightly around the bluerider’s waist. “The last dragon I rode that wasn’t mine,” he grumble, eyes widening as Ayyonth settled back before launching in a manner that made B’jin’s neck snap, “was Tyrrisath.” His voice went up a few octaves and his grip tightened.

“Oooh, this is so wrong.” There was amusement in the words, but genuine discomfort too. “We’re flying straight, right?” He wasn’t sure wherever they were going was nearly far enough to justify a trip between, but the idea of travelling in the inky blackness on a dragon not Larrikith – no matter how much he trusted R’nd and Ayyonth both – was enough to make the greenrider tremble. Oh, stop being such a baby. High amusement tinged her tones, and her voice was to the entire little group, the eyeroll as vivid as if watching it occur on the face of a sully teenager.
