B’jin peered up to look over R’nd’s shoulder at the bluerider’s invitation, curiosity at who the other man was momentarily overriding his desire to steal his lover away. He had seen the other bluerider around before, of course, but he couldn’t place a name to the face; which, B’jin knew, meant he had never been flown by the man but also that he didn’t have a bad reputation as a flight partner (or didn’t have a reputation at all). The greenrider flashed a quick smile as R’jit turned to leave, the question brewing on the edge of his lips of ‘who was that?’ being answered before he could even ask.
As R’nd turned around in his arms, B’jin had a slight frown as he tried to remember where he had heard that name before. R’jit was definitely familiar, and he was quite sure that it had been R’nd that mentioned the name once before, but where? He smiled vaguely in response to R’nd’s compliment, still trying to figure out the name, and didn’t really respond to the light kiss. He was still frowning, a mild expression as he stared blankly to the side of R’nd’s face. Where had he heard – Oh! B’jin’s face lit up and he leaned sideways suddenly to peer around R’nd, seeking out the retreating form of R’jit, weaving through the people lazing around the area.
“He’s your Searchrider!” B’jin said brightly, still not looking at R’nd as he eyed R’jit’s back with an expression somewhere between curious, frank and thoughtful. He likely would have been mortified if he’d realised the intensity with which he was eyeing the retreating form, but he was completely oblivious. So that was the man that had Searched R’nd, and brought him South when the Plague hit? The greenrider’s eyebrows furrowed once more. How had he missed that for so long? Did his dragon ever chase Larrikith? Did he chase at all? B’jin was having a hard time digging up information on the man. A trip to Par’a’s was in order, no doubt!
With that decided, B’jin’s expression brightened cheerfully once more, and he shifted to lean into R’nd instead of around him, kissing the bluerider properly. There was a sly smile playing over B’jin’s lips as he leaned backwards a little, breaking the kiss. Brown eyes were dark with naughty thoughts as he asked, with all the possible airs of innocence, on a low and husky voice: “what else did he teach you?”
