Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! R’nd’s time had been filled with socialising with anyone and everyone he knew. A brief conversation with Z’ia had started it all before his friend was distracted by Aveleth and took up the task of chatting up Rhaedalyn. R’nd grinned and hoped it worked out well. He hadn’t a clue about where her affections laid but he felt they could be a good balance to each other and Rhaedalyn was far too sweet to continue on without someone beside her. A smile was given in their direction before the next friend caught his eye and then a weyrling and K’rin, and several others after that. Despite what the gathering had been done for, R’nd was enjoying himself and didn’t mind being used as a delightful distraction.
Naturally he kept a look out for any B’jin sightings to see if the greenrider would seek him out later on to go exploring. He wouldn’t have been heartbroken if it didn’t happen that day – as there were plenty of days that followed the current one – but the bluerider had decided to playfully tease B’jin all the same about being stood up. He hadn’t actually expected to be caught unawares by B’jin, though! R’nd was engrossed in a conversation with R’jit about their dragons and the potential Ayyonth had both with continuing to assist – or lead – weyrling classes or even if he could be beneficial in the ranks of Searching if they returned to such ways.
While it didn’t happen too often anymore with how often he was seen with B’jin, R’nd still had admirers and past lovers sneak up on him and slip their arms around him for some sort of hug and interaction. He never tensed or worried over the action though curiosity was always running high as he tried to figure out who it would be. This time was no different, at least, not until the kiss to his neck and the way the forehead rested on his shoulder. His face lit up with a bright smile as R’nd placed his hands over B’jin’s, “Hey, love. We were just feeding Ayyonth’s ego if you’d like to join us?” It didn’t occur to R’nd that B’jin and R’jit wouldn’t know each other given the way he tried to know everyone within the Weyr in one way or another and rarely thought about the colour divides, especially since both men were Searchers.
What did occur to R’nd, however, was how he would end the conversation soon so he could steal his lover away for some of the hinted at time together. That seemed like the best idea he’d had all day and it seemed R’jit had either had it as well, Ayyonth ratted him out, or he was easily read. Given the vaguely shocked look R’nd had caught on his friend’s face when he smiled at the recognition of B’jin’s touch, R’nd was assuming every emotion and thought he currently had were on display. “A conversation that can be picked up at any time – with both of you. For now, I should find a few people I owe several minutes of time to. Behave yourselves,” R’jit chuckled as he excused himself and wandered off, leaving R’nd grinning with a slight shake of his head.
“I’m not sure if I learned how to make my exits from R’jit or if I taught him,” R’nd teased as he watched his fellow bluerider saunter off for a moment before easily turning himself around in B’jin’s grasp as if it was the most natural thing in the world to him. “I’m rather fond of your entrances, by the way.” A kiss was placed on B’jin’s forehead before a finger brushed under B’jin’s chin to tilt his head up enough to steal lips into a light and playful kiss.
