The sun had hit its zenith over an hour ago, and B’jin had excused himself shortly before then from Talian, in order to dig up his children, and be sure they fed themselves and whatever firelizards they (Amorandii) had managed to snag from someone during the morning. After the children had been scoped out, and their plates filled, B’jin had spent the lunchtime with them under a large tree, listening as Amorandii prattled on about what she had been up to that morning. Indamor was exceptionally quiet, even for the naturally quiet boy, but B’jin chalked most of it up to the events of the day.
When they were full and Amorandii had finally – for a moment! – run out of words, B’jin had palmed them off on Indamor’s mother once more, the excuse of needing to tend to his Weyrlings barely leaving his lips before he’d vanished once more, weaving through the various people spread over the area to make his way around his young brown, blue and greenriders. When he was sure they were all fine, and most of them were clearly prepared to spend the afternoon napping before the return to Katila proper, B’jin slipped away from them, too.
With a handy prompt from Larrikith, B’jin located R’nd without too much issue. The bluerider was casually chatting to another bluerider, though one B’jin didn’t know beyond actually being a bluerider and he watched quietly from a distance for a moment, wondering if he would be interrupting by joining them. When Larrikith prompted him to stop delaying, B’jin slipped up behind R’nd, nodding politely to the other bluerider as he wrapped his arms lazily around R’nd’s waist. A light kiss was placed on the back of R’nd’s neck, and then B’jin rested his forehead against R’nd’s shoulder, waiting placidly to claim his lover from his companion.
