She was showing off. How intriguing.
Ilveriath wheeled to his left after gaining altitude, slinking along the side of the pack at a patient pace, eyes locked firmly on the trailing green form ahead of him. He saw no need to show off. Sure, many males would follow her example and try to show out, but this was not a best-dressed contest...it was first-in. Ilveriath was content to let the other males wear themselves out and then dart in, presenting himself in all his elegant glory, unfazed by the rigors of the flight!
I'shan liked that plan. It was a plan, and that was more than he had himself! He darted out of his hut, almost dazed by the whirl of fire lizards around his head and pulse of flightlust in his body. "Ilveriath! Get her, boy!" he called out, a little bit confused when the words came out of his actual mouth as well as his mind. Could Ilveriath hear him? Oh, bother! Who cared! Ilv wouldn't let him down...he never did. I'shan took off at a run, blindly seeking the green's rider and only half-paying attention to his state of half-dress and his general messiness. There was business at hand! Who had time to brush their hair?!
Ilveriath crooned softly and angled himself towards Araith, watching as some of the less-enticed suitors started to drop out. The slim blue made his move, flattening his wings to his side and darting towards her, shooting out of the sky like an arrow. He rumbled sweetly as he descended on her, though his fragile form would have been easy for a larger male to bat aside like a delicate kite.
