B’jin didn’t answer R’nd’s light explanation, the greenrider busy telling Larrikith to remind him to murder Indamor when he next housed the brat. While it was clearly Amorandii that had blabbed about the event of her father’s birthday to R’nd, B’jin knew just as doubtlessly that it was Indamor that had set up the careful exchange of knowledge. The child would be a brownrider in the making for sure!
The internal rant was brought to a screeching halt – much to Larrikith’s amusement – by warm lips claiming his own. A smile curved his own lips, and B’jin hummed in approval as he hooked one arm around R’nd’s neck, the other hand wandering down the length of his lover’s body. Post-flight hook-ups had never been something B’jin enjoyed, and especially never something he had encouraged. Flights were nasty, objectifying and N’mall had always been so jealous – a moment after Larrikith had landed herself lightly on the ground, and B’jin was expected to be removing himself from whatever location he had ended up in.
B’jin broke the kiss suddenly, leaning back a little and the arm looped around R’nd’s neck withdrew, and his hand pressed with firm gentleness against his lover’s chest as B’jin frowned at him, eyebrows drawn together seriously. “Always catch us.” It was an answer to R’nd’s earlier statement. It didn’t occur to B’jin that someday perhaps he might not wish the bluerider to capture his green; if it were to ever be raised, B’jin would likely brush it away. Even were the day to come where B’jin and R’nd didn’t enjoy one another’s company as much as they did in that moment, B’jin also knew R’nd was by far the best partner he’d been captured by.
The bluerider was gentle, and respectful, and he did a wonderful job of not making the situation awkward or stressful for the often anxious and timid greenrider. He was kind, and sweet, andAren’t you supposed to get all emotional before I fly? The green dragon’s tone was both amused and tart, and caused B’jin to frown, an irritable pout contorting his lips as his face went vague with dragon-speak. Fuck off. Did that, remember? That’s why R’nd’s got that lovely hicki- the dragon didn’t even get to finish her teasing, before B’jin’s brown eyes were snapping back to R’nd and flickering anxiously over his face, his neck, his shoulders. He does not! The greenrider was still frowning sulkily, totally forgetting about R’nd’s lack of invitation to the internal conversation, and distracted enough to forget about the kisses and southern travelling hands.
I’m more surprised he believed me. Larrikith snorted, filling in Ayyonth to B’jin’s flurry of oddities, as she curled closer to the young blue. B’jin was hardly known for leaving his mark on his lover; considering the way he’d just freaked out that he might have, Larrikith was vaguely aware of why. Lingering trails of thought about N’mall and R’nd’s appreciation for his blemish free appearance swirled throughout, but mostly Larrikith wrote it off as B’jin being an overly sensitive worrywart.
At least life is never boring with them, Larrikith replied, looking up at Ayyonth archly before nuzzling him affectionately. I swear, some dragonets choose real rocks for humans. At least ours came with spunk. Sometimes too much, but mostly just enough to keep the little green constantly amused for one reason or another.
