R’nd laughed at the dramatics and could easily picture Amorandii and B’jin discussing birthdays, parties, and who loved her more. He was actually surprised B’jin held his ground and didn’t give in to his daughter’s desires to have a party since she was one spoiled young lady that had her father wrapped around her finger. Then again, she had already managed to snag R’nd as well and the bluerider knew keeping his birthday a secret for much longer wasn’t going to happen. Considering his birthday was in fact the same day as Amorandii’s R’nd was surprised she hadn’t weaseled the information out of him already. It had been close last turn when he had been tricked into attending her celebration and she was getting her hugs out of him. It had been tempting to whisper in her ear a secret meant only for them that they shared the day but he refrained, not wanting to steal any sort of attention from her that day.
Now, it seemed like he’d have to give her fair warning so she could adjust to the idea of sharing her party, though R’nd was rather fond of the idea of Larrikith flying on that particular day. It hadn’t happened yet but R’nd had picked up her flight pattern early on and knew she was due in the eleventh month but what were the odds of her naturally flying on the ninth day or being provoked into rising then? R’nd didn’t think the odds were in their favour. “You never know, Larrikith may spoil us again,” he commented positively anyway, keeping the hope alive. Besides, how could he be in a negative mood with his lover giving him a massage?
“Is it odd that I don’t announce my approaching birthday to everyone each turn?” R’nd didn’t explain why he asked, figuring it had to be obvious. He was outgoing and friendly but also had a bit of an ego so a party in his honour seemed like something that had to be done. R’nd couldn’t really explain it but his ego was in a way why he didn’t want everyone to know. He worried over people fighting for his attention and vying for the honour of giving the best gift and being rewarded in return with whatever he was willing to give. He had been fought over before and simply didn’t want to deal with that on his birthday. “Amorandii has a better lead than most for finding the date out,” it was vaguely cryptic and the grin R’nd tossed over his shoulder to B’jin said he knew as much as well. He’d tell them both one day but for now, that was the only, and best, hint his lover was getting.
“And I’m glad you don’t have plans. I’d like to steal more of your time if you’d let me,” R’nd didn’t really want to give up the position he was in with the lazy wanderings of hands over his back but he shifted on the bench all the same so he could face B’jin. “Especially since I want to spend most of that time pampering you, love.” B’jin’s hands were grabbed and each raised in turn to be kissed.
“You won’t even have to worry about your class this day. V’ler will watch over them for us.” Ayyonth snorted at the statement and spoke to R’nd and Larrikith, opting to leave B’jin out of the conversation.Does V’ler know about this arrangement? First I’ve heard of it. R’nd didn’t bat an eye at his dragon pointing out the flaw in the plan he had just come up with and mentally shrugged the question away. He will once you ask him to.
