The first time R’nd voiced his question, it was indeed lost to greenrider ears, the man in question far too busy with the teasing words of his dragon and his own frantic reactions to hear anything R’nd might have said in amongst it all. The movements of his lover to sit up called attention, however, and B’jin blinked as he turned his gaze up at the bluerider. The intense examination he was subjected to, however, had a hot blush flaring up over the greenrider’s skin.
He didn’t shift, or try to cover himself; the small smile he offered when R’nd’s eyes met his own was timid and slightly anxious, an emotion that only flared to peak in a heartbeat of terror when R’nd stood up, beyond terrified that R’nd was going to leave him alone on the bathroom floor, disgusted by what he’d seen. As quickly as the terror had risen, it was gone, and a smile bloomed on the greenrider’s lips. Lifting his own hand, B’jin’s fingers twined eagerly with R’nd’s when his lover offered his hand and he allowed the other to help pull him to his feet.
“What a terrible waste,” B’jin murmured in reply, turning his head to look at the poor, abandoned pool of water even as he stepped closer to R’nd, cooled skin tingling with warmth and desire as it came into contact with his lover. “I think you may be right,” B’jin teased, leaning up to kiss R’nd, lingering and full of fun promises. Before his bluerider could respond with any great investment, B’jin was slipping away with a playful smirk and he toppled backwards into the water with a splash.
B’jin surfaced with a wide grin, an expression that rapidly transformed into a playfully suspicious glare, not seeing R’nd where he was supposed to be.
Some of the best of them, Larrikith agreed, mind quickly focusing on the young bluerider that was in the class, and rumbling softly in amusement. That pair was a force to be reckoned with! She really could not wait to hand them off to some sucker Wingleader to deal with. Hopefully, the kid would learn what way was up, and which were his left and right before that day came! Ayyonth’s unspoken train of thought was definitely something Larrikith would agree with, particularly on part of some of the Searchriders. They were clearly more obsessed with a couple of main organs, and not thinking of long term sacrifices that had to be made by a dragonet, when a class of crappy options were handed to them.
If more Searchriders doubled as Weyrlingmasters, the quality of candidates would drastically improve.
