Indivara snorted again, amused by what she considered flowery words. It never occurred to the girl that Ryvian was likely both serious and honest; it wasn’t anything personal though! Indivara didn’t believe anyone was serious, nor honest, when it came to her and she was quite set in her belief that they only hit on her because it was ‘expected’ and they were occasionally reminded she was fuckable. She was not even sure half of them remembered she was a girl most the time; then again, with her lot of friends, Indivara knew gender was hardly an issue.
“And you think being pregnant will do that?” She gave Ryvian an amused, albeit droll look. She had enough reservations about stripping down and dancing around as it was; she certainly wasn’t about to do so with a gut the size of Krypth ballooning out in front! Despite that, the girl was mildly pleased that Ryvian thought she was capable of it. She’d hate to have her cover blown – ever. She enjoyed talking big and then playing hard to get like it was they who had the problem, and not herself. She didn’t have problems. The rest of the world did.
Indivara’s eyes rolled heavenward, gaze landing on Ryvian’s face after a dramatic show and she huffed irritably, rubbing her unhappy stomach. “That’s what mother said. Only with more ‘duty’ crap thrown in and less Impression opportunities.” A pause, “She’s such a fucking bitch.” Frustration rolled off the girl, and she picked angrily at fluff on her clothes, glaring at her knees. It was alright for her! She had a dragon! Indivara couldn’t stand the way she made light of it, though. The girl was not stupid; she knew her mother was trying to ‘correct’ whatever ‘mistake’ she believed she’d made when she realised her daughter was hell-bent on Impressing a dragon – never mind that Indivara was quite determined to ride bronze!
Indivara was quite sure the entire world was against her, but she smiled wanly at Ryvian none the less. At least her friend was on her side! She’d show all of them!
