Original Name: Kersel
Pronounced: Ker-sel
Nicknames: K, Ker
Primary Rank: Journeyman
Secondary Ranks: Candidate
Place of Birth: Minor Hold off Telgar
Date of Birth: 20.12.725
Partner: N/A
Eyes: Kersel has your average, every day, boring brown eyes, though they are darker than some.
Hair: Brown, shoulder length, usually covered in dust or soot like the rest of him. Tied back when working, otherwise it hangs loose around his face.
Height: 5'11"
General Appearance: Kersel is a fairly large young man, well muscled with most of that muscle definition in his arms and across his back. That is not to say he has no muscle in his legs, they are just not as defined. He stands right at 5'11, a decent height for his age he thinks. He has several scars up and down both arms earned during his apprenticeship. He doesn't mind these scars, as to him they show his dedication to his craft and is rather proud of them. He also has a scar along the right side of his jaw, it starts just under his ear and goes nearly to his chin. He doesn't remember how he received that scar.
His hands are rough and calloused, and along with his arms are most often covered in a layer of dirt, grit, and metal shavings. He doesn't spend a great deal of time outside but his skin still manages to hold a decent amount of coloring, taking after his father. He has dark brown eyes that are surrounded by dark lashes that aren't overly thick but longer than he would prefer. His eyes seem to match his hair, which he keeps shoulder length but neat, or as neat as possible anyway. He keeps it tied back when he is working, though it tends to come loose in places and fall in his face. Otherwise it is left loose to frame his face, or fall in it, one or the other.
Dressing Style: Kersel isn't overly concerned with clothes, they are a necessity, so he wears them. He tends to dress casually, generally only in a light tunic and pair of hide pants. Almost always wearing some kind of apron even when not working and unless he is relaxing, he wears thick, heavy boots everywhere he goes. He does own nice clothing for special occasions, but honestly he prefers the less is more theory when it comes to clothes. If he's not with his Journeyman, Master, or in the crafthall itself he can generally be found lounging around shirtless, if the weather allows for it.
General Character Traits:
Kersel is a decent sort of man, he works hard and had dedicated himself to his craft. He is fairly quiet and laid back most of the time, it takes a lot to really make him angry. He doesn't talk to a lot of people, mostly what family he speaks to, the few friends he claims, and those in his craft, even they are hard pressed to get long conversations out of him.
As quiet as he can be he is equally friendly and kind hearted. He will go out of his way to help just about anyone if he can, but once you piss him off and fall out of his good graces it will a very long time before he does so much as look in your direction. Unless it's life or death that is.
Craft: N/A if not applicable or 'General Education' for those that can read, write and do basic mathematics. Most Pernese still receive a very general education by the Hold Harpers, but very few ever end up in a Hall. If you character is Hall trained, be sure to include proper information on how they ended up as such in their History. Please see This Board[/url] for details on Crafts and Craft Hall lifestyles in our Canon. Remove the Rank portions if not formally educated.
Specialty: A character may only specialise in ONE area, no matter how smart or talented they may be.

Habits/Mannerisms: Kersel has a nasty habit of completely zoning out in the middle of a conversation, which is worse when he has absolutely no interest in either the person or conversation.
Frowns constantly when working and sometimes forgets to stop frowning when someone speaks to him.
Opinions:
Threadfall Theory: If it happens, it happens.
Stealing/Kidnapping: Not happy about it at all, feels they should have informed them all they had lived and given people the option to go, rather than stealing them away in the middle of the night. Survival or not, it was wrong.
Firelizards: Suspicious of the little beasts, but is warming up to them. They are curious little things and he finds himself charmed by them more often than not. Not sure still if he would want one.
Return North: Not sure how to feel honestly. On one hand, Dragons! On the other hand they have been without them so long that he feels it is wrong for them to come back and just expect everyone to fall all over them in gratitude, especially since they kidnapped so many without so much as a word. But..dragons!

Likes:
[div class="NORTHERNNRspinelists"]His Craft:
He likes the challenge of heating and molding metal, to make it conform to his will. He likes to shape it into small, seemingly impossible things and actually has a knack for making small intricate things such as jewelry and other decorative things, like metal decorations on wooden boxes. Trinkets that will hopefully, one day, sell well at gathers to high paying holders for their ladies.[div class="NORTHERNNRspinelists"]His Craft:
Storms:
Kersel's favorite time is when there are storms happening, strong storms are his favorite, but any storm with thunder and lightning will draw his attention. He likes to sit out, rain or not, and watch the lightning dance across the sky.Runners:
Runners are sturdy and reliable animals, dead useful as well.
Dislikes:
Laziness:
If there is one thing Kersel can't stand is laziness. Children get away with it until they are of age for being useful, but adults need to be useful in some way, shape, or form. Relaxing and taking some time to ones self is one thing, but doing absolutely nothing day in and day out? Not acceptable.Disorder:
Kersel has a set way about him, everything needs to be in it's place, things need to be kept clean and in good working order. It sets him in a foul mood for things to be out of place or dirty. It is one of the reasons he dislikes sharing his space, not everyone is able to keep up with how he likes to keep things.Liars:
There are few things that irritate Kersel more, than being lied to. Liars are something he fails to understand. He himself has never told a lie, unless you count keeping gifts and surprises secret until they are needed or finished. If he catches someone in a lie, he will most certainly write that person off, all trust and respect gone. This does of course keep his list of trusted friends very short, which is just fine with him.
