Allendris was still obviously feeling very uncomfortable by the whole ordeal presented by this particular class. He had only just recently learned that homosexuality was more than just a rumor whispered about in the dark hallways of more questionable holds, and now here he was at a weyr, where sex was apparently rampant and marriage nonexistent, with quite possibly the largest and most intimidating old man he had ever had the questionable pleasure of meeting shaking his stick and gruffly encouraging them all to run off and engage in unspeakable acts with their classmates. He could only stare straight ahead at their instructor, spine ramrod-straight and jaw tense, as he watched out of the corner of his eye all the wandering gazes of the other candidates. Checking their prospects no doubt, he thought with a mental shiver. The staid young man had to wonder: was there just something about Katila's borders that somehow obliterated the morals of all who passed through them, or were these young men and women all just that depraved from the start?
Either way, was it something that was going to start affecting him too?
The addition of the familiar faces of B'jin and Larrikith did nothing to help the glass-smith feel at ease, especially with the cheeky green dragon seizing the opportunity to project into their unsuspecting minds what he was certain must have been a very embarrassing image for the rider in question. He resisted the urge to gape at the implications of this new 'proddy' term and what the existence of such a thing meant for him, should it ever happen to him. He hated to imagine himself doing something as insane as raving about a dining hall half-naked for all the weyr to see. And yet somehow, despite the nigh-impenetrable chaos of his thoughts on this subject, somehow both Valerian's quip and the greenrider's laughing response managed to reach him. Dark brown eyes widened in shock as Allendris realized, belatedly, that the two were talking about him - but it didn't take long for those same eyes to narrow into a glare which he delivered at both the snickering B'jin and the smart-mouthed harper, in turns.
"It most certainly will not work," Allendris hissed, his indignant glare lingering on Valerian just a moment longer.
