Talian was in his room, seated comfortably on his bed and flipping through one of the medical books he'd managed to get his hands on. His bottle of wine was sitting on the floor beside him, uncorked but missing only a little bit of it's original contents. The young healer's knots were sitting idly on his bedside table, for he'd tossed them down without thinking and forgotten to pick them up. As soon as Erisi came to the door, however, Talian's hand snapped over and snatched them from the table. He shoved them under his bedsheets and sat up.
"I actually do have some," he said softly, a coy expression creeping onto his face. "But it's just something I got from the dining hall the night I was released from the island," he said. He nodded appreciatively when Erisi mentioned the sweetrolls. He understood the implication. "I already had dinner, but it never hurts, right?"
There was a moment in which Talian didn't know what to say. He was stuck somewhere between serenity and awkwardness. He didn't know Erisi well, and this wasn't the sort of thing he'd ever done before. Still, he was trying to gradually open up, and this was one of the first opportunities he'd really had. He motioned for Erisi to come inside and manged, for only a moment, a little smile. "Thanks for joining me...I guess this means I have two friends here now." Lymsleia counted, he imagined. B'jin not to much, though B'jin was certainly something.
What was B'jin? Talian wrinkled his nose and reached for his bottle. He didn't speak, instead waiting for Erisi to start the conversation.
