Despite his dealings with much larger and angrier riders in the past, J’ver still held his breath as B’jin’s fury showed itself and the greenrider moved in dangerously close. In the end, it turned out J’ver didn’t have much to worry about and smirked at how quickly B’jin backed away once more with his threat hanging in the air, incomplete. There wasn’t a doubt that B’jin would act on whatever came to mind in order to keep his spawn safe but J’ver’s point had been made and all he had to do was simply glance in the direction of the female terror. The power that knowledge held was delightful and J’ver savoured it before finally filling the silence that followed the threat.
“I don’t recall saying a word about children, my dear B’jin,” he supposed Talian counted in a way given the older rider’s fascination with the Healer but J’ver ignored that minor detail. “You simply need to give me information on some people and no one need never cry, bleed, or turn their back on you.” J’ver didn’t know, and likely wouldn’t have minded, that he unwittingly gave B’jin the objective he had missed, saving the man from having to ask for instructions. The only objective that night was to gain B’jin’s assistance, possibly with some information right off the bat to sweeten the moment. After all, weren’t Harpers trained for fact-finding and gossip-whoring? This should be an easy task for the greenrider and not a hair would fall out of place on the pretty heads of R’nd or Talian.
Getting to his feet, J’ver couldn’t help but wipe at the damp spot once more. He truly hated kids and the lack of consideration they had for anyone else. A mental note to soak his pants when he returned home was made as his attention went back to B’jin. “I don’t foresee any issues with this task and I’ll be checking up with you regularly to gather what you have collected for me.”
