Month 05, 741 AL

North: Late Spring | South: Late Autumn
9.9 C to 18.4 C | 13.7 C to 24.5 C

Ista is heating up swiftly, and preparing for a rough summer - hopefully nothing like the one from a couple turns before with the wildfires! The rest of Northern Pern is warming upsomewhat slower, but with no less gusto as summer begins to creep into the sky, keeping the sun awake longer, warming the ledges of the weyrs. Rainstorms are sporadic, but keep the world well watered, despite the heat of the days.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

Month 12, 739 AL
North: Early Winter| South: Early Summer
-3.1 to 2.1 C | 20.4 C to 29.4 C

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

13.4 to 21.0 C | 13.8 C to 25.6 C

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

Month 07, 739 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter
18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind.

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself uncommonly warm (~12C / 53.6) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

ITS AN UPDATE! HOORAH!

I'm not dead, my loves! This month's Event is 'Close Call!' - have fun! Stamps will be uploaded and on display in our Discord chatroom.

There is a topic here for discussion about Pernese religions and belief systems, including in and out of Weyr opinions (variably and as a whole) in regards to delicate matters, such as birth, death, and the afterlife. Also, ghosts anyone? Now I'm imagining a giant arse dragon ghost....

Healer Hall is accepting Gold Candidates (just from Fort, for now) and R'nya will soon be discussing with his Weyrwoman Rhaedalyn the merits of bringing in additional female candidates.... on the condition they are approved for Healer Apprenticeship...

Thallyath, Casa's little gold dragon, will be taking to the skies for her maiden flight in the first week of April (IC date will be 740-04-01) and while a mate is already decided, this clutch will be PC and more candidates are ALWAYS welcome, whether you want them to Impress this round --- or not!

September 2018

Spring is here! ... In Australia, anyway!

This month’s riveting event is ‘Seas of Fun’, in honour of International Pirate’s Day! After all the drama with the fires, we expect that taking to the sea (or lake, river, pond, etc) would be a very relaxing way to spend some downtime for many dragonriders and Holderfolk alike!

In preparation for October, the even is “Memories of the Past”, which we hope will be a fun way to explore your character’s past, either in solo posts or threads, as inner monolog or as back posting! How you choose to partake is entirely up to you!

October will also see our next PC HATCHING! In order to have your Candidate qualify for Impression, they must have no less than 20 posts! There are lots of characters floating around who would be more than happy to help your Candidate breech that count! Don’t forget to also UPDATE YOUR APPLICATIONS where applicable, or make sure it is submitted at all! We can’t Impress your character if we don’t know what they should be getting!

As always, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

If you haven't already, please drop by the Dragonrider Weyr Allocations thread, and let us know where your dragonriders call home. We are hoping to set up Wings across the three PC Weyrs over the next month or so, and your assistance is much appreciated! As a result, we will be looking for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, and of course Candidates for the clutches we have scheduled for this year!

August 2018

ITS AUGUST! Do you know what that means? It means its less than 4 months until Christmas! OMG.

Okay. So moving on! This month sees us (hopefully) wrapping up the Camp Kink event! Who doesn’t love an abundance of young adults exploring their sexuality without restraint? Its been a hell of a fun ride (haha get it?) so far! Can’t wait to see what the grapevine makes of it when words gets out … haha!

On a more serious note, this month will see us engaging in the Istan Wildfires! This event is a free for all! Feel free to have your characters interact with the event in any way you feel is suitable! There is a lot of room here for personal dramas, trouble making, hero worshiping, etcetera! We really want to see how characters interact with, and dictate, the outcome of the event!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

July 2018

July was July-y.

June 2018

Welcome to the new month! Like always, I'm slack in getting the update up and running, but here it is! This month we have the event 'Summer Fling' - [Link] - which is turning out to be all kinds of entertaining already! Remember, it doesn't have to include smut! It could be an innocent date with some - *gasp* - hand holding!

This month also saw Gold Bedith of Mulrissa take to the skies! She was won by young Syrendryth of T'ryn! Congrats, and may your Hatching be less dramatic than the last one! The Hatching will take place in October so you have a lot of time to get Candidates created, approved, and posting up a storm!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

April 2018

Well, it’s halfway through the month which shows you how awful I am at keeping this stuff up to date, haha. Due to my slackness, there is no event this month, but the month of May will be hosting ’Lost Belongings’ wherein characters should find something they – or someone else – lost.

In the meantime, gold Okalinath of Kahleena has taken to the skies! You can find her Flight thread taking place on the 4th, here Currently, there is no planned winner, so be sure to throw your bronzes and browns her way! They do not need to be natives to Telgar Weyr to participate!

March 2018

Welcome to March, my friends!

Unfortunately, this month we don’t have any events set up, so we encourage you to wrap up threads and create some personal plots! Next month will be bringing in a new monthly event (Lost Belongings!) so you can always set your character up for that! If you have ideas for future Events, you can submit them here!. Additionally, you can see upcoming events here!

Speaking of new threads, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

January 2018

Welcome to the New Year, one and all! We hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday season, and we can't wait to see what your characters will get up to over the next twelve months (and beyond!). The Secret Santa Event has been extended until the 30th of January, so for those of you (like me!) who were busy over the end of December, we hope you can get your threads up and running over the next few weeks! There has been a lot of interesting interactions so far! As we extended the SSE, there won't be a specific January event this month! Don't worry though, we have something up our sleeve for February!

With the end of December, our Christmas layout has gone back into hiding! You'll be able to use it again at the end of the year, when Christmas again rolls around. You can expect a new layout for the site in the near future.

December 2017

And so it is December! Can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! At any rate, we have LOTS of fun for you this month! For starters, why don’t you sign up for our Secret Santa Event! Pairs will be assigned on the 14th! You can sign your character(s) up as a Giver, a Receiver or Both! We also hope that you enjoy our Christmas layout, which will be available for use for the entire month of December! After that, it will go into hiding until next Christmas!

We will also be awarding the HORRIFYING MOMENTS stamps to those who qualified for them, as well as the WORDS OF THE MONTH for November. We hope you enjoyed these Events, and you can expect more of them in the upcoming year!

This month we will also be focusing on the RP Records, and request you submit all your threads here so we can update the Timeline! As it says in the thread, the Timeline will be updated every month, in the first week. To help us maintain, be sure to submit your threads as soon as you open them!

November 2017

Welcome to November! We'd love it if you would take the time to Vote in our Horrifying Moments threads! We will also be awarding Stamps for people who vote, not just those who took part! We hope you enjoyed this event as much as we did! You can see the Stamps that will be awarded in the Horrifying Moment's thread.

This month we are doing a 'Words of the Month' event! You can choose your word/s as indicated in the thread, and may particpate with as many characters as you desire! This contest has no voting to earn stamps; you get a stamp just for participating! Enjoy!

October 2017

Welcome to October! As part of our Halloween celebrations, the Horrifying Moments event is now open! You may START a thread at any point during the month of October to qualify it for the event! We hope you have a lot of fun with this event, and we look forward to reading your threads! Don't forget to "Like" the threads you enjoy most, so we can award someone the MOST HORRIFYING stamp! Stamps will be revealed later in the month!

September 2017

Welcome to September! This month, we're working on our Awards for the site! We are also advertising avidly! Please welcome any guests or new members with all that warm charm we know you all posess! That said, we are still seeking Affiliates, so if you're here to drop an ad, please consider us!

Our next PC Clutch will be in the new year, so now is the pefect time to join with old candidates (how many clutches have they stood for now?!) and candidate hopefuls! Get those eager young men and women out there and grow them so we can match them with their perfect lifemate when the new year rolls around and one of our lovely golds throws a clutch on the Sands -- At this point in time, the Weyrs are sharing Candidates, so your Candidate can be Searched by any Weyr, and transfer to the one holding the PC clutch!

August 2017

We are officially open for our relaunch, and are excited to meet and greet new RPers! We're currently looking for all types of characters, including Weyrleaders and goldriders! But we also have lots of room for green and blueriders, weyrfolk, candidates, and all types of Hall folk, such as Masters, Journeymen and Apprentices. If you have any questions, feel free to hit us up in the Cbox or Discord chats, which can be found on the lower part of the screen.

July 2017

We are currently having an event to Create Adoptables! And encourage everyone to take part!

History is almost complete, and the profile has been re-coded. All new characters will need to go onto the new profile, but all old can keep their current! We'll begin advertising properly over the next couple of weeks, once the history has been completed, and probably after the weekend of the 8th and 9th, because that is when ThistleProse is having her birthday.

June 2017

We are on the brink of relaunching! Our history is being rewritten and cleaned up! We are accepting new members, and old! Our advertisment has been re-written, and will be put out there soon. We are also accepting affiliates of all descriptions, genres and themes! If you would like to affiliate with us, please go here
We officially have two layouts! You can post here with any issues you find, or request any changes!

May 2017

Progress has slowed down a little, due to RL events (yay promotions! Boo no internet!) but we're getting back on track! Documents are still being written and we've put together a FAQs page, though its likely to recieve a lot of adjustments as we come across things. The current goal is to have everything set up and ready by July, but we'll see how well we go at that. And by we, I mean ThistleProse. lol.

April 2017

The layout is almost complete, but there is still a lot of work to be done; documents are being written up and can be found in the Site Map menu opion. Players can begin to move their characters' information to their Account Profiles, but be aware some changes may still be made and/or added.
If you find any bugs or issues, plese repot them here, and we will do our best to fix them in a timely manner.

General Description:
D’hys has blue eyes that are, admittedly, rather girly thanks to his long lashes. They are expressive, lending to his deceptions of showing he’s a well behaved angel or warning everyone that the devious bugger is about to be let loose. D’hys keeps his sandy blonde locks cut in a slight shaggy style where it often falls into his eyes even when he hasn't styled it forward. Aside from his light-coloured hair and large grey eyes, D’hys attracts attention with his dashing yet wicked smile. He is a master of giving everything from sly smirks to large, full blown friendly smiles. He doesn’t really have a care in the world and it shows when he smiles and laughs. The icing on an already beautiful cake is the dimples that appear when such smiles are given. Typically, though, he maintains slightly less-blinding smiles and sticks to his smirks and grins that are slightly crooked and most definitely mischievous. D’hys takes care of himself. While not at a body-builder level for his form, he is still rather cut, putting swimmers and runners to shame, though he does enjoy both activities as methods of staying in shape. His tall frame supports his desire to keep a finely tuned body, with long legs that showcase his enjoyment of running.
General Dressing Style:
Whatever catches his eye has a place in his wardrobe. D’hys will typically be seen in casual, yet high quality, attire with a particular fondness to black or beige pants and a loose short sleeved shirt as he sees no need to showcase what everyone already knows is a great body. That being said, he’s still often seen with an open shirt or lacking in a shirt altogether; especially if he’s just woken or he’s after stubborn prey. His riding leathers are well-maintained as he doesn’t approve of looking like a slouch, especially while in ‘uniform’. Otherwise, he doesn’t pay extra special attention to having the finest or most unique of style of clothing.

Personality
Likes:
Physical Activities: This ranges from bedroom fun to exercise. D’hys loves being in motion regardless of the reason. True, he enjoys resting in the sun as well, as even he has no desire to burn himself out and can take as much pleasure in goofing off as he can in doing crunches. The actual ‘clean’ activities he prefers to invest his free time into would be swimming and running, finding both to be excellent for keeping his body in shape but also rather relaxing. Playing Games: Life is but a game! Where’s the fun in worrying or working day in and day out? D’hys knows when playtime is over and work should be done but everything else, possibly even the chores he is assigned, is seen as a game to be played in order to amuse him and win. After all, what point is there in playing if you only lose? Gambling: Tying in with his love of games, D’hys isn’t afraid to put marks down on bets or dares. One of his favourite games to play is with Z’ia as they wager who can sleep with so-and-so first or win a certain flight.
Strengths:
Fortitude: D’hys has no qualms with charging ahead, being the first to attempt something, or conquering a fear or tackling an issue that most would try to ignore. D’hys dares where others would not. Endurance: D’hys pushes himself to his limit and beyond regularly to help maintain his physique and be ready for anything life may throw at him. Cunning: D’hys is good at mind games and working out ways to get what he wants. He’s also not afraid to work at something to achieve a goal that may take some time.
Dislikes:
Sappy Emotions: To D’hys, there’s no reason to cry over anything or pine for what was and no longer can be. He wants to have fun and how can he when he’s tied down by such useless feelings or the person he’s chasing is a weeping mess. A flower in its prime attracts attention, not the wilted flower tossed aside. Dragon Cleansing: While certainly not as large as a bronze can get, Zeianth still takes quite a while to scrub and then oil. D’hys doesn’t mind it to a point as it can be a good workout but in the hot summer days it feels like it goes on for a lifetime. Harm Befalling Zeianth: Since the plague, D’hys has been extremely protective of Zeianth and won’t do anything to put his dragon in serious harm and doesn’t take too kindly to anyone physically or verbally attacking his blue beauty.
Flaws:
Arrogance: He believes himself to be the hottest and best thing around and everyone else should know this as well. His arrogance, coupled with the thrill he gets out of bending the rules and having fun on the wild side, can also lead him into interesting predicaments but D’hys fancies himself a master of getting out of trouble. Protective of Zeianth: His protective streak is strong when it comes to Zeianth and D’hys will not tolerate any sort of physical harm to his blue nor will he take kindly to anyone insulting Zeianth.
Habits & Mannerisms:
D’hys loves to express himself with varying tones of smiles, grins, and smirks. He enjoys himself and everything he does and has a habit of showing it off. He also has a habit of checking out his reflection in most available surfaces.
General Personality:
D’hys is a playboy lacking in any strong morals. He would be the poster boy for the quintessential bluerider with his good looks, charm, and enjoyment of sleeping around. Unlike some of the other more prominent and well known blueriders in Katila, D’hys has a ‘must conquer all’ mentality. He has fully embraced his sexual nature and while he does enjoy sleeping with different lovers, he’s more in it for the glory, collecting bedpost notches and obtaining the unobtainable. He’s also not above a friendly competition with a fellow rider in who can win over someone first, even willing to manipulate to get what is wanted. On the more innocent side of things, D’hys enjoys taking and placing bets on almost everything. When there is a clutch on the sand, he may not always be the first to lay down his marks – he likes to study the field and where his advantages lie in anything first – but you can rest assured he’ll have a bet placed well before the Hatching with colours and even who will Impress. There is just something about the thrill of a challenge and beating the odds that he thrives on and D’hys respects others with the same appreciation. In short, D’hys loves games and he plays to win. D’hys could also be considered an adrenaline junkie, though only when the idea is presented the right way. Making it a challenge will usually win him over but even a friend egging him on can get him to free fall from a ledge or try a silly stunt. He won’t, however, do anything that will harm his dragon and he’s not too fond of anything that will mar his good looks; which means he’s become quite good at not getting caught, especially with lashings back in effect. While he is rather arrogant, D’hys is not a complete jerk either as he does have innocent and clean fun with his friends and enjoys goofing off with them whenever he can. He doesn’t necessarily shirk his duties but he will make sure his chores are done in a timely manner so the day can be spent lounging out in the sun with his dragon and any friends available. The most important thing to know about D’hys is that he’s loving life and doesn’t care who’s along for the ride or who’s in the way.

Important History:
695 & Born: D’ser, bored, permits his brown to chase the sassy green pair. Nine months later, L’dia gives birth to Danihysian, honouring the tradition of using a portion of the father’s name despite D’ser not wanting to be involved. 696-700 & 1-5: Danihysian is raised by L’dia and the crèche when his half-sisters are born. 701 & 6: L’dia decides it’s time for D’ser to meet his son and manages to get him to accept Danihysian. 702-705 & 7-10: Father and son are seen spending time together, usually tending to the brown dragon with bathing or oiling. D’ser teaches him how to maintain and adjust riding straps. L’dia takes a more domestic approach and teaches her son and daughters how to cook, which is her passion outside of riding. 706-708 & 11-13: Danihysian continues assisting his father and some of the other riders with their dragons and spends the remainder of his free time helping his mother or playing with the other weyrbrats close to his age. 709 & 14: Danihysian Impresses at his first Standing to blue Zeianth at age 12. His father is both pleased that his son Impressed at his first Standing but disappointed that it was a blue as most were convinced he’d Impress brown. 710-711 & 15-16: Danihysian continues with his weyrling classes and finally graduates with Zeianth giving him the name of D’hys. 712-714 & 17-19: D’hys continues adjusting to his new life as a rider, training or tending to Zeianth a majority of the time and embracing his blue nature that leaves him tangled in quite a few sheets. 715 & 20: L’dia’s dragon is among the first to fall ill from the plague at their weyr. Knowing what they do from other weyrs and seeing it for themselves as others start to die around them, she says her farewells and orders D’hys to stay away and keep Zeianth from harm. The following night she goes between with her green. D’hys breaks down and that is the last time he allows himself to cry. 716 & 21: The decision to go South in order to save the rest of the dragons is made and D’hys doesn’t hesitate in packing. He opts to go solo, not wishing to chance anything decreasing their chance to survive the plague. His sisters beg him to stay or take them but he still leaves with a whispered farewell. 717-719 & 22-24: Having never had to build anything before and unsure as to how long the exile is, D’hys slowly starts crafting a shelter and learning how to secure his little piece of land. 720 & 25: Zeianth receives the call to reunite. After debating whether his blue really will be okay, D’hys packs up once more and they head off. His father is one of the first he looks for and is relieved to find him. 721 & 26: D’hys uses his limited skills to build himself a hut in the new weyr and offers to help in other areas as well. He finds it comforting to be around people and doing something once again. He likes to be lazy at times but after so many turns of not having much to do, he enjoys the physical exertion. 722 & 27: It’s tempting to go North with some of the others but D’hys stays South as he’s starting to like their makeshift home and the people that fill it. 723 & 28: Like most people, D’hys worries about Nirinath and wonders if the plague affected her in some way, making her sterile. There’s nothing he can do about that so he continues settling into his new life and making the most of it. 724 & 29: When a group of Northerners come South on rumours of dragons still being alive, D’hys wonders why they aren’t showing themselves and returning North once more now that the threat of plague is over. He, however, continues to listen to the leadership and avoids making any sort of contact. After the turns of solitude, D’hys doesn’t want to repeat that experience for life by becoming an outcast for endangering the weyr. 725 & 30: D’hys’ hut escapes damage during the storm but he lends his hands to rebuilding other areas. 726 & 31: When he hears “some brown is sick, it must be plague!” D’hys worries it’s his father and seeks him out once more and is once again relieved to see the man is fine. 727 & 32: Renewed Hope clutch hatches! D’hys is thrilled and relaxes a bit now that the future of the dragons seems to be on the incline once again. He’s unsure about the method of kidnapping Candidates but doesn’t worry himself over it and parties for several days straight with some friends. 728 & 33: Even in a weyr as small as Katila, D’hys rarely sees his father but makes attempts from time to time to catch up. Their differing status based on dragon colour begins to show even more and with D’hys getting older he has lost some of the idol worship of youth. 729 & 34: The weyrlings graduate and D’hys is amused to hear a bluerider given the honorific of Z’ia, which sounds somewhat like his dragon Zeianth. He seeks the man out later on to deem him worthy of friendship. 730 & 35: Chaos and heartbreak continue to follow the bluerider around as D’hys continues with his Southern lifestyle of leisure with some chores tossed in. 731 & 36: Despite the leadership increasing punishment and reintroducing lashings, D’hys still lives on the wild side, enjoying himself, especially with another successful Hatching proving it is once again the era of dragonriders. 734 & 39: He does his part to help clean up after the landslide – once he’s conscious again, having suffered a hard hit to the head saving someone. As the wingsecond to R’nya’s wing, D’hys stays behind in Katila and doesn’t need to worry about dealing with the past in the North just yet. 735 & 40: When baby-sitting duty finally ends and everyone is invited up to Telgar, D'hys goes with some trepidation. In the end he decides not to worry about the past and doesn't seek out his sisters he abandoned long ago for the sake of Zeianth and focuses on building a life again in the North. 736 & 41: With Fort and Ista now open, D'hys continues to follow R'nya to Fort as he enjoys the perks that comes with being an important bronzerider's lackey. While he certainly wouldn't hold the title of Weyrsecond to R'nya's Weyrleader status, it's still known the bluerider lends a helping hand to R'nya which earns him some added respect. 739 & 44: Zeianth wins Halomirth's maiden Flight while they were on an errand in Ista. D'hys considered playing games with F'drel but in the end decided to use the greenrider as one of his informants and sex buddies. Like everyone else, they also lend a hand with the Ista fires and thankfully both avoid injury. 740 & 45: A blue winning a gold is both amusing and a bit disheartening, especially after the Hatching. D'hys is a firm believer that should never happen again for the sake of the dragons' continued survival. In happier news, D'hys was able to enjoy teasing R'nd from afar as B'jin left his mate for a while. F'drel earned himself a reward for his accidental hand in the break-up and D'hys pulled strings to bring some of F'drel's sisters to Ista Weyr.

Weyrlinghood
A light but rather unremarkable blue without any patterns.
Zeianth
Adulthood
Zeianth is as cool as ice; literally. He is of a pale blue that is only a few shades away from being white while a brighter, but still pale, blue streaks over his body. His pattern gives off the illusion of a sheet of ice and those that have tried to get close to D’hys and failed say Zeianth is the perfect colouring for such a man. The quiet blue dragon has one other interesting feature which leaves him looking like he ran through some sort of mud. All four paws and his nose are coloured in a bluish-purple. Some have whispered it was a touch of brown springing into the dragon that has a rider that shows similar traits to the more outspoken brownriders while others find it interesting or a flaw keeping his frozen hide from flawless beauty. Either way, Zeianth is proud of his hide and negative comments are easily brushed aside.
Mindvoice
Deep and soothing.
Personality
eianth can be seen as the strong and silent type though when he speaks, it’s often with arrogance. He loves to have fun and while he has confidence in his abilities and those of his bonded, Zeianth sometimes holds onto reservations with some of their antics as he doesn’t particularly want to see either of them injured. He’s still fairly easy-going and easily amused as he believes life shouldn’t be wasted on worrying over trivial matters and should instead be enjoyed in any way. He is a good balance to D’hys who goes to extremes at times in his playing and needs his level-headed dragon to drag him back to acceptable levels of play. He’s quite loyal, naturally to D’hys, but also to those he sees as important in their lives. Z’ia and blue Aveleth rank almost as highly as D’hys when it comes to the urge to protect. Aveleth in particular has earned the older blue’s defence given how timid the dragon is to the point of stuttering. If another dragon attempts to bully his friend, he will step in, just as he will put himself bodily in front of their humans should they end up doing something too ridiculous and can’t get out of it on their own.
Quirks
Likes: Being Clean: Zeianth is a very chill dragon but he is high maintenance and likes his hide to be spotless and gleaming. Attention: If someone wants to lavish him in attention in the shape of oiling or even petting, Zeianth has no issues with that. Seeing D’hys Happy: Even if it means D’hys is playing some new game on an unsuspecting victim, if D’hys is happy, than so is Zeianth. Dislikes: Being Painted: He has a gorgeous hide and doesn’t like it being covered up. Grumpiness: He’s not a chipper and hyper dragon but he does prefer to be around people and dragons that have a more positive attitude. No attitude is needed in his presence. Strengths: Sway Over D’hys: His ability to temper D’hys’ wild side when it gets out of control and can usually talk him down from a fight should he manage to land in one due to his flirting without caring about the consequences. Protective: Zeianth has a weakness for ‘damsels in distress’. Usually this applies to greens (and Aveleth at times) and he lends his strength and assistance to those that need it. Flaws: Slow to React: His ‘go with the flow’ attitude often leaves him not speaking up in time when D’hys decides to up the risk factor or warn someone else of impending disaster. He’s also easily swayed when D’hys promises he’ll be careful and not bring any harm to either of them.
