Month 05, 741 AL

North: Late Spring | South: Late Autumn
9.9 C to 18.4 C | 13.7 C to 24.5 C

Ista is heating up swiftly, and preparing for a rough summer - hopefully nothing like the one from a couple turns before with the wildfires! The rest of Northern Pern is warming upsomewhat slower, but with no less gusto as summer begins to creep into the sky, keeping the sun awake longer, warming the ledges of the weyrs. Rainstorms are sporadic, but keep the world well watered, despite the heat of the days.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

Month 12, 739 AL
North: Early Winter| South: Early Summer
-3.1 to 2.1 C | 20.4 C to 29.4 C

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

13.4 to 21.0 C | 13.8 C to 25.6 C

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

Month 07, 739 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter
18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind.

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself uncommonly warm (~12C / 53.6) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

ITS AN UPDATE! HOORAH!

I'm not dead, my loves! This month's Event is 'Close Call!' - have fun! Stamps will be uploaded and on display in our Discord chatroom.

There is a topic here for discussion about Pernese religions and belief systems, including in and out of Weyr opinions (variably and as a whole) in regards to delicate matters, such as birth, death, and the afterlife. Also, ghosts anyone? Now I'm imagining a giant arse dragon ghost....

Healer Hall is accepting Gold Candidates (just from Fort, for now) and R'nya will soon be discussing with his Weyrwoman Rhaedalyn the merits of bringing in additional female candidates.... on the condition they are approved for Healer Apprenticeship...

Thallyath, Casa's little gold dragon, will be taking to the skies for her maiden flight in the first week of April (IC date will be 740-04-01) and while a mate is already decided, this clutch will be PC and more candidates are ALWAYS welcome, whether you want them to Impress this round --- or not!

September 2018

Spring is here! ... In Australia, anyway!

This month’s riveting event is ‘Seas of Fun’, in honour of International Pirate’s Day! After all the drama with the fires, we expect that taking to the sea (or lake, river, pond, etc) would be a very relaxing way to spend some downtime for many dragonriders and Holderfolk alike!

In preparation for October, the even is “Memories of the Past”, which we hope will be a fun way to explore your character’s past, either in solo posts or threads, as inner monolog or as back posting! How you choose to partake is entirely up to you!

October will also see our next PC HATCHING! In order to have your Candidate qualify for Impression, they must have no less than 20 posts! There are lots of characters floating around who would be more than happy to help your Candidate breech that count! Don’t forget to also UPDATE YOUR APPLICATIONS where applicable, or make sure it is submitted at all! We can’t Impress your character if we don’t know what they should be getting!

As always, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

If you haven't already, please drop by the Dragonrider Weyr Allocations thread, and let us know where your dragonriders call home. We are hoping to set up Wings across the three PC Weyrs over the next month or so, and your assistance is much appreciated! As a result, we will be looking for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, and of course Candidates for the clutches we have scheduled for this year!

August 2018

ITS AUGUST! Do you know what that means? It means its less than 4 months until Christmas! OMG.

Okay. So moving on! This month sees us (hopefully) wrapping up the Camp Kink event! Who doesn’t love an abundance of young adults exploring their sexuality without restraint? Its been a hell of a fun ride (haha get it?) so far! Can’t wait to see what the grapevine makes of it when words gets out … haha!

On a more serious note, this month will see us engaging in the Istan Wildfires! This event is a free for all! Feel free to have your characters interact with the event in any way you feel is suitable! There is a lot of room here for personal dramas, trouble making, hero worshiping, etcetera! We really want to see how characters interact with, and dictate, the outcome of the event!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

July 2018

July was July-y.

June 2018

Welcome to the new month! Like always, I'm slack in getting the update up and running, but here it is! This month we have the event 'Summer Fling' - [Link] - which is turning out to be all kinds of entertaining already! Remember, it doesn't have to include smut! It could be an innocent date with some - *gasp* - hand holding!

This month also saw Gold Bedith of Mulrissa take to the skies! She was won by young Syrendryth of T'ryn! Congrats, and may your Hatching be less dramatic than the last one! The Hatching will take place in October so you have a lot of time to get Candidates created, approved, and posting up a storm!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

April 2018

Well, it’s halfway through the month which shows you how awful I am at keeping this stuff up to date, haha. Due to my slackness, there is no event this month, but the month of May will be hosting ’Lost Belongings’ wherein characters should find something they – or someone else – lost.

In the meantime, gold Okalinath of Kahleena has taken to the skies! You can find her Flight thread taking place on the 4th, here Currently, there is no planned winner, so be sure to throw your bronzes and browns her way! They do not need to be natives to Telgar Weyr to participate!

March 2018

Welcome to March, my friends!

Unfortunately, this month we don’t have any events set up, so we encourage you to wrap up threads and create some personal plots! Next month will be bringing in a new monthly event (Lost Belongings!) so you can always set your character up for that! If you have ideas for future Events, you can submit them here!. Additionally, you can see upcoming events here!

Speaking of new threads, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

January 2018

Welcome to the New Year, one and all! We hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday season, and we can't wait to see what your characters will get up to over the next twelve months (and beyond!). The Secret Santa Event has been extended until the 30th of January, so for those of you (like me!) who were busy over the end of December, we hope you can get your threads up and running over the next few weeks! There has been a lot of interesting interactions so far! As we extended the SSE, there won't be a specific January event this month! Don't worry though, we have something up our sleeve for February!

With the end of December, our Christmas layout has gone back into hiding! You'll be able to use it again at the end of the year, when Christmas again rolls around. You can expect a new layout for the site in the near future.

December 2017

And so it is December! Can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! At any rate, we have LOTS of fun for you this month! For starters, why don’t you sign up for our Secret Santa Event! Pairs will be assigned on the 14th! You can sign your character(s) up as a Giver, a Receiver or Both! We also hope that you enjoy our Christmas layout, which will be available for use for the entire month of December! After that, it will go into hiding until next Christmas!

We will also be awarding the HORRIFYING MOMENTS stamps to those who qualified for them, as well as the WORDS OF THE MONTH for November. We hope you enjoyed these Events, and you can expect more of them in the upcoming year!

This month we will also be focusing on the RP Records, and request you submit all your threads here so we can update the Timeline! As it says in the thread, the Timeline will be updated every month, in the first week. To help us maintain, be sure to submit your threads as soon as you open them!

November 2017

Welcome to November! We'd love it if you would take the time to Vote in our Horrifying Moments threads! We will also be awarding Stamps for people who vote, not just those who took part! We hope you enjoyed this event as much as we did! You can see the Stamps that will be awarded in the Horrifying Moment's thread.

This month we are doing a 'Words of the Month' event! You can choose your word/s as indicated in the thread, and may particpate with as many characters as you desire! This contest has no voting to earn stamps; you get a stamp just for participating! Enjoy!

October 2017

Welcome to October! As part of our Halloween celebrations, the Horrifying Moments event is now open! You may START a thread at any point during the month of October to qualify it for the event! We hope you have a lot of fun with this event, and we look forward to reading your threads! Don't forget to "Like" the threads you enjoy most, so we can award someone the MOST HORRIFYING stamp! Stamps will be revealed later in the month!

September 2017

Welcome to September! This month, we're working on our Awards for the site! We are also advertising avidly! Please welcome any guests or new members with all that warm charm we know you all posess! That said, we are still seeking Affiliates, so if you're here to drop an ad, please consider us!

Our next PC Clutch will be in the new year, so now is the pefect time to join with old candidates (how many clutches have they stood for now?!) and candidate hopefuls! Get those eager young men and women out there and grow them so we can match them with their perfect lifemate when the new year rolls around and one of our lovely golds throws a clutch on the Sands -- At this point in time, the Weyrs are sharing Candidates, so your Candidate can be Searched by any Weyr, and transfer to the one holding the PC clutch!

August 2017

We are officially open for our relaunch, and are excited to meet and greet new RPers! We're currently looking for all types of characters, including Weyrleaders and goldriders! But we also have lots of room for green and blueriders, weyrfolk, candidates, and all types of Hall folk, such as Masters, Journeymen and Apprentices. If you have any questions, feel free to hit us up in the Cbox or Discord chats, which can be found on the lower part of the screen.

July 2017

We are currently having an event to Create Adoptables! And encourage everyone to take part!

History is almost complete, and the profile has been re-coded. All new characters will need to go onto the new profile, but all old can keep their current! We'll begin advertising properly over the next couple of weeks, once the history has been completed, and probably after the weekend of the 8th and 9th, because that is when ThistleProse is having her birthday.

June 2017

We are on the brink of relaunching! Our history is being rewritten and cleaned up! We are accepting new members, and old! Our advertisment has been re-written, and will be put out there soon. We are also accepting affiliates of all descriptions, genres and themes! If you would like to affiliate with us, please go here
We officially have two layouts! You can post here with any issues you find, or request any changes!

May 2017

Progress has slowed down a little, due to RL events (yay promotions! Boo no internet!) but we're getting back on track! Documents are still being written and we've put together a FAQs page, though its likely to recieve a lot of adjustments as we come across things. The current goal is to have everything set up and ready by July, but we'll see how well we go at that. And by we, I mean ThistleProse. lol.

April 2017

The layout is almost complete, but there is still a lot of work to be done; documents are being written up and can be found in the Site Map menu opion. Players can begin to move their characters' information to their Account Profiles, but be aware some changes may still be made and/or added.
If you find any bugs or issues, plese repot them here, and we will do our best to fix them in a timely manner.

General Description:
Blonde, tousled locks used to be kept on the shorter side. Since Impressing and realising he wanted to further find his own identity, he has been growing his hair out to help distinguish himself from his his brother and father. Once it became long enough to pull back, he started wearing it in that manner. At times he'll wear it loose but he's still adjusting to it and the looks he gets so it's tied back. Thanks to now taking care of a dragon, Ayontay has started to shed the baby fat and is toning up. Like his older brother, he's had a growth spurt and a bit on the leaner side. He's also grown into his facial features. Ears that once seemed too large now look properly proportionate, as do his eyebrows. They're still bushy but they don't seem quite so obvious any more and don't detract from bright, vivid blue eyes.
General Dressing Style:
Ayontay has a simple taste in clothing that usually leaves him in comfortable and practical pants with a short-sleeved shirt in varying colours. The one item of clothing he prefers and is always kept in pristine condition is a deep red jacket in a similar style to one worn by his father. One other important piece that Ayontay always wears is a necklace that is a simple piece of bark wrapped up in the leather cord that keeps it around his neck. To most it would be a strange accessory but to Ayontay, it is a reminder of one of his favourite places in Katila; a large tree that he used to climb and spend hours in.
Austin Butler
Personality
Likes:
Stories: Not so much the fantasy ones like Rhaedalyn likes to tell but the ones the old dragonriders tell about their time before the Plague. Sure, some might be exaggerated, but Ayontay still thinks they're cool. Wood-working: He's still learning the trade but he enjoys the fine detail work and concentration that comes with the job. He mostly makes simple objects or lends a hand to those more skilled in the field. His goal is to make toy figurines. Hiking/Exploring: Like any curious child, Ayontay likes to see how far he's allowed to venture out and what's around him. Nature is relaxing and he likes meandering through forests and discovering what secrets they hide.
Strengths:
Resourceful: Ayontay is good at using what he has and making the best out of a situation. Respectful: His mother raised him to respect his elders and the heirarchy of the Weyr; which has been in place for so long and seems to work so he doesn't have a problem in doing so. Observant: Not being as actively social as others, Ayontay notices body language or even secret glances or get-togethers while he sits back. He likes seeing how the bigger picture functions with its details.
Dislikes:
Laundry: Sometimes helping his mother or in the creche meant running dirty clothes to the laundry workers or assisting them in scrubbing stains. Some things are forever stained on the mind and he has learned to carefully bundle up a pile of clothes. Swimming/Deep Water: Before he learned to swim, some of the older kids picked on him and kept dunking him under the water, watching him flounder. While he'll go to the lake with friends and even sit in the shallows, Ayontay hates water deep enough that can cover his head. Klah: Not only is it disgusting, he can't help but wonder why people would put something in their body to change how they function. A proper night's rest is more than enough to get you moving in the morning.
Flaws:
Timid: Not the most outgoing of boys, Ayontay can be hesitant to approach those that out rank him or simply intimidate him. Obvious: Ayontay isn't that great at hiding what he's thinking or feeling. Gawking at someone? They'll know. Curious what someone is up to? They'll notice him watching. Superstitious: For the most part, Ayontay knows they aren't real and it won't matter if he crosses paths with a black cat or not but he still can't help but have the old rhymes run through his head when he sees it happening or even go out of his way to avoid taking a certain path.
Habits & Mannerisms:
Bites his nails when thinking or nervous.
General Personality:
Ayontay is a pretty laidback boy that almost prefers to observe than participate when given the chance. It's not that he's anti-social or thinks himself too good to interact with certain people, but he wants to know more about someone before letting them get close. To him, it simply seems to be a waste of energy to get to know someone and let them in only to have them betray you or not want to be friends anymore. Overall, he's easy to get along with since he's not the confrontational type but the amount of close or dear friends can be counted on one hand. Having been raised by his mother and the women that worked in the creche, Ayontay finds it easier to get along with women. While he would occasionally tag along after the older boys when they got together to play and would shadow the more recently Impressed dragonriders, he always felt more comfortable in the presence of women. Boys sometimes confuse him with their shows of dominance and what could trigger an array of emotions. Ayontay often finds it funny that women are said to be the more sensitive sex that had emotional fits at the drop of a feather since he found them to be strong and rather stable. Perhaps having so many mothers raise him is also the reason why he's so good with his sister, Wynera. Ayontay fell in love with her the moment she was born and was always there to help look after her. While he wouldn't refer to himself as someone that's good in a crisis or even a solid shoulder to lean on, Ayontay does try to be there for his closest friends, lend support how he can and generally being a bit of a mother to them with making sure they've eaten or remembered their jacket if it's a cooler day and they're about to go off to explore.

Important History:
724 & Born: Tyeravi carried on a short but sweet relationship with R'nd but knowing his issue with commitment, she never mentioned the child was his. He is named after a relative to Tyeravi but years later, people assume his name comes from his father’s dragon, Ayyonth, who was actually hatched three years later. 725-728 & 1-4: Spends time playing in the creche or in his mom's care. He's a pretty quiet child and stays out of everyone's hair. 729 & 5: After another fun romp with R'nd, Tyeravi gives birth to a daughter, Wynera. Ayontay is excited to have a sibling. 730-733 & 6-9: Ayontay has taken easily to being a big brother and helps look after his sister as much as he can when he's not off playing or having basic lessons with a Harper. 734 & 10: The landslide happens at the start of the year. Old enough to realize what level of devastation the diaster has brought, Ayontay does his best to keep a brave face for his mom and sister but inside he's falling apart and wants someone to comfort him. He's lost friends and dragons he liked to play with and saw families of friends torn apart and he doesn't know how to help. While he had always been a bit excited for it, Ayontay is now more than ready for the move North after so many good memories being tainted by the landslide. 735 & 11: Continues to help wherever he can in Telgar Weyr to make it feel more like a home for everyone, especially his family. Sure his mom has male companions, but never truly having a male role model in their lives, Ayontay tries to pick up the slack, especially for his sister, making sure she's spoiled. For all of his help and hard work, his mom gets him a firelizard egg that soon hatches to reveal a blue firelizard. 736-737 & 12-13: With two more Weyrs about to open up, Ayontay begs his mom for them to stay at Telgar. He wants to see more of the world but they're finally settled in and Telgar feels like home. Besides, his dad stayed and while he's not as confident and brave as his half-brother, T'ryn, to announce who he is to R'nd, Ayontay likes observing the bluerider and learning who his dad is without any sort of filter or awkwardness. 738 & 14: Finally decides to start Standing, even though his best friend, Madiquel, doesn’t think she’ll ever try. Stands for both Telgar clutches that year but doesn’t Impress. Near the end of the turn R’nd approaches him to say he knows he’s Ayontay’s father. Ayontay’s more than stunned and suddenly awkward about it but they work at building some sort of relationship. 739 & 15: Stands at Aradissicath’s clutch in Fort but sadly doesn’t Impress. He would have liked it to be that clutch so he could be in the same Weyr as Madiquel, realising all the more that he definitely has a crush on the girl. Now that he’s committed to the idea of Standing, Ayontay is ready to be shipped off to the other Weyrs when needed. Shortly after that, Ayontay Impresses to bronze Xyxyth in Ista, becoming A'tay. 740 & 16: A'tay tries to confess his crush on Madiquel at Telgar's Gather by giving her a thimble he called a 'kiss' based on a story he loved when a kid. He flees before she gets a chance to reply but she never mentions it again... either because she doesn't feel the same, hasn't figured out the meaning, or because she accidentally Impressed at the Ista Hatching she was watching from the sands. A'tay was already stressed from that Hatching thanks to defending Nerreh and Faxxonth and now he worries about the weak dragonet. He had considered transferring to Fort after his graduation but now isn't sure thanks to Maidquel being in Ista.

Adult Stats
38’6 foot length, 20' foot tall, with a 58'3 foot wingspan.
Clutch Details:
Gold Nadioth x Bronze Rhezalth at Ista Weyr on the 28.05.739 [Clutch Page]
Weyrlinghood
Xyxyth hatches as a beautiful little bronze, with a mostly solid coloured hide, it wouldn’t be overly remarkable if it weren’t for the markings that look like sunlight through water on his head, tail and feet. Contrasting shades of white-bronze and green-bronze stand out starkly against his base hide. In build, Xyxyth is a very compact little dragon, with a short neck and tail, chunky legs, and a broad head. His wings are broad, and the membrane of them seems thicker than normal, allowing less light to transcend through when he is in flight.
Xyxyth
Adulthood
Growth comes fast and hard to Xyxyth! He will grow quite a bit faster than his clutch mates, keeping Ayontay on his toes as the youngster does his best to keep up with Xyxyth’s required bathing and oiling. Due to his extreme growth rate, Xyxyth will shed earlier than his fellows, at about six or seven months of age, revealing his new hide beneath. Said hide is the same base colour as his Hatching, but the water-marks have smeared, making his entire body look like you’re viewing it through the dappled light of a forest. Shades of green and brown mix with various shades of bronze to make both a nondescript but also beautiful hide. The thick membrane of his wings remains, causing some concern about how it will affect him in prolonged flight, such as fighting Threadfall or mating. The exact reality of this is to be determined; the thickness is not so much more than ‘normal’ dragon wings, but enough to be of note to the Weyrlingmaster. In the meantime, the sturdiness of his wings is revealed in their lack of tearing or being easily injured. Additionally, he appears to have good control when flying in weather that would usually down a dragon, such as heavy storms and strong winds.
Mindvoice
Xyxyth has a mild, low voice that is warm and soothing. Even when issuing commands, his tone implies more that he’d be disappointed if you didn’t do as he asked, rather than issuing threats. Xyxyth also maintains good emotional control of his voice; he will very rarely give away that he is angry or excited via his tone, and indeed, it will take some time for Ayontay to learn to pay extreme attention to what his dragon is feeling, not what he is saying.
Personality
Such cheerful joy in a dragon is usually associated with the dimwitted or the ‘lower’ colours; contrary to expectations, Xyxyth is neither dimwitted nor a chromatic dragon. Indeed, the bronze seems to vastly enjoy turning people’s expectations for him on their head. He is an intelligent and outgoing beast with a cheerful personality and a love for life and friends. He is outgoing, engaging, and playful. Growing into one of the largest bronzes - at least in present times - Xyxyth has a big personality to match it; an absolute shameless flirt, Xyxyth will make sure everyone enjoys his company, or at least enjoys watching him make their companions squirm. He is a kind hearted soul, and will never purposefully hurt or upset someone with his attentions, but it isn’t out of the question for him to go a little beyond the line, if he gets carried away. Should that happen, he will do his best to make the individual understand how sorry he is, usually through actions. Cheerful as he is, Xyxyth has a demanding streak a mile wide; he expects things from those around him, and he expects them to meet his expectations. Xyxyth carefully analises - through his social studies of observance - how much it is he can expect from those around him. As a result, while those who are at the receiving end may think they’re getting a rough deal, Xyxyth will never ask more of someone than he honestly believes they can achieve. As a result, it will be fairly easy for Ayontay to figure out who his dragon has very little opinion of!
Quirks
Habits/Mannerisms: Likes making up fun nicknames for teasing Ayontay; Has nicknames for everyone he becomes attached to - some serious, some hilarious; has a tendency to whistle quietly to himself. Likes: Exploring: Much like Ayontay, Xyxyth enjoys exploring and adventure. He likes getting out to see the world, and can’t wait for the time when he is free to do so - such as graduating Weyrlinghood! Flight is an important part of that, and he is keen and willing when in the sky. Traveling between is not something that he fears, but he respects the fear it inspires in others and does his best to fly straight when needed, and to reassure passengers when they feel insecure. Oceans: Xyxyth loves the water, but he loves even more the wild saltiness of the ocean. He loves the way the tides come in and flow out, and he loves the way it smells, the sounds it makes, and the crunch of the sand under his toes. Luckily for Ayontay, Xyxyth is more than happy to swim by himself while his rider hangs out on the beach or in the shallows. He enjoys swimming with company, but is also more than happy to trill at the fishes and entertain himself. Flirting: Xyxyth is an absolute flirt, and is completely shameless when it comes to bestowing praises and attention upon anyone, male or female, dragon or human. His cheerful nature and easy showering of attention upon others will no doubt cause Ayontay no small amount of embarrassment at points, but that honestly just amuses Xyxyth and encourages him more. Dislikes: Procrastination: It is best that tasks are dealt with in a swift and sure manner, whether they be distasteful tasks, or emergency situations or anything in between. It is important to take stock of a situation, but not to the extent that one doesn’t react at all. Simple tasks are best taken care of and moved on from; leaving them to stew on a to-do list is a waste of energy and mind-space. Timidity: It’s a part of Ayontay that Xyxyth is determined to help him master. Being timid will not get them anywhere in life, and Xyxyth is convinced that both he and Ayontay can go anywhere they please, if they work hard enough to achieve it. Sour Suds: Life is too short and too amazing to spend it sulking or moping! Those folks who simply cannot see the ray of light shining in their direction really are a sad bunch, and Xyxyth ranges from feeling sorry for them, to being irritated by them. It’s okay to have a down day, but really! Things just aren’t that bad, and there is always some reason to smile! Strengths: Observing: Xyxyth is an excellent observer; he takes in the goings on around him with a quiet, thoughtful air that is often missed by those too busy talking or acting. Xyxyth considers it a great skill to take stock of a situation before acting, though he is not one to procrastinate. Social: Contrary to many bronzes, Xyxyth is extremely sociable and holds no real recognition to colour hierarchy or social norms. He will give most creatures a chance to be interesting, and those that he finds so, he will seek out for future conversations and sociable sessions. He finds firelizards to be charming and enjoys playing with them, usually by flicking his tail or pawing at them and watching them dodge his careful movements. Authentic: Xyxyth is a genuine, charming dragon. He enjoys life, he enjoys company, and he enjoys being happy. He isn’t one to hide behind a mask, and encourages those he knows and loves to step out and be themselves, too, whatever that may make them. Better to be you, and be happy, than to hide and be miserable! Flaws: Demanding: If he thinks it is something that Ayontay can do, but is unwilling or not confident enough to act on himself, Xyxyth will be relentless in making the boy step up and take action. Additionally, he will make the same demands on his clutchmates all during Weyrlinghood, and in the future, hold his wingmates to high expectations - though never more than he believes they are capable of achieving. Impish: It isn’t something that a lot of individuals will see, but Xyxyth’s has an incredible impish side; he enjoys being naughty and teasing Ayontay and takes a great delight in making his rider squirm. He is never mean or cruel, and will never do anything that will actually upset Ayontay, but harmless fun? Oh, he is so there and he is going to make Ayontay groan in exasperation at his lame jokes and silly teasing. Curiosity: Xyxyth is a nosy bastard! He enjoys learning about anything, and everything, often asking questions and demanding explanations about odd or random things. He wants to understand not only the world around him, but the people and the dragons that are within it.
