Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! General Description:
Pale blue and set in a way that make him look thoughtful or sad.Pretty average brown that is in a slightly shaggy cut but thanks to the straight locks, it is always easily maintained.
Z’rin has a pretty average build for his age and living circumstances. He has enough muscle to lend a hand in such tasks such as hunting, wood-cutting, and building but he is by no means the strongest or fittest man around. He finds himself rather average in the looks department as well, finding he doesn’t really stand out and thinks his nose is large.
General Dressing Style:
Growing up both in Ista and then Katila, Z’rin loves the heat and will usually be in only a pair of pants with or without a lightweight shirt on. In cooler weather, he likes long sleeved shirts with some having high necks for that extra bit of warmth.

Z’rin often runs his hand through his hair, brushing it back out of his face. He also has a habit of playing with his lower lip, whether in thought or just something to do with a hand.General Personality:
Z’rin has a few sides to him. The most prominent is that of a man that’s a bit goofy and quick to joke around. He’s not at all afraid to make himself the centre of a joke and is usually more than willing to go along with the teasing that’s at his expense if it makes the joke all the more outlandish and even shocking.He’s also a bit awkward. He was only twelve when he was lost in the woods and returned to find everyone he knew had packed up and fled the mysterious and cursed southern island. When he was found, he was definitely grateful but also shy and not sure how he was supposed to act or where he was supposed to fit in within the new society. Most of the weyrbrats had made it clear he wasn’t entirely welcome and he awkwardly interacted with them during chores, meals, and downtime until more people started to accept him.
Due to his short time alone in the dangerous wilderness, Z’rin became a bit paranoid and can still be jumpy if he’s surprised. This lends to his awkwardness as well as initially making him worried about making friends and suddenly losing them if he wanders off or even falls asleep.
Overall, however, he’s just a guy that likes to have fun and wants people to share it with. Now that he’s older, he feels like he belongs with the dragonriders and residents of Katila but a part of him will always worry he’s not accepted and one day he’ll be on his own again.

712 & Born: Zarindin is born; he is the second son.716 & 4: His mother gives birth to a girl.
718-722 & 6-10: Joins lessons from the area’s Harper when he passes through several times each turn, learning rudimentary reading skills and important parts of history.
723 & 11: Starts helping his father and uncle more regularly on the boats and casting nets when out at sea.
724 & 12: Serves as a cabin boy on one of the ships that go South to search for dragons. After two months, and on a day where he went out hunting alone, Zarindin ended up lost and wandering further away. His group ended up giving up on him, especially after a pride of felines attacked the camp. By the time he found his way back, the ships were long gone. After several days of surviving on his own, a bronzerider that was sent out to check on the Northerners found him and brought him back to Katila.
725 & 13: Spends the turn adjusting to his new life. He can’t fully understand why they don’t bring him home and announce that they’re safe as well.
727 & 15: Having fully settled into his new life and okay with the dragonriders needing to stay hidden, Zarindin Stands at the first Hatching since the plague. He doesn’t Impress but is okay with it. The way Northerners are brought in, however, isn’t right and he tries to befriend them.
730 & 18: A woman he was sort of seeing ends up pregnant and gives birth to a girl. Zarindin claims the girl and offers help when he can but isn’t a major role model at this time.
731 & 19: Another Hatching and another failure. Again, he’s okay with it given the plague scare a few turns before and seeing what even a bronze dragonet can do to a friend. He’s horrified at what happened to Indivara and takes more care around dragonets.
734 & 22: Impression! Finally! While genuinely happy for the moment to finally happen, he’s even happier that it was right after Indivara so she can’t gloat forever that she Impressed and he didn’t.
735 & 23: Varralath starts chasing and even has won a couple of flights. They graduate at the end of the turn and he contemplates what to do with that freedom. Find his old family or let them continue believing he’s dead?
736-738 & 24-26: Z'rin moves to Telgar, oddly comforted by the fact that Indivara is there as well. He's a bit sad that R'vi and some of his other friends went to other Weyrs but at least they can travel easily now.
739-741 & 27-29: Strikes up an unlikely friendship with N'mor that eventually grows into a sexual relationship. Despite his insecurities, that relationship eventually becomes serious and they decide to be mates that have Z'rin moving to Ista.
742 & 30: Both he and N'mor avoid any attacks during the string of murders. Even more to his relief is his daughter hadn't started Standing yet and wasn't a part of any gold Candidate attacks. N'mor gets an out of the blue promotion to Weyrsecond after the current one is killed and the Weyrleader is having a meltdown.
743 & 31: N'mor gets a promotion for the end of the year to become Weyrleader when M'ris and Ameris move to High Reaches to open that Weyr! Z'rin can't be prouder or happier for his mate. He also debates trying out for either a Searchrider or perhaps an weyrling assistant as he's starting to grow restless and feeling a bit useless.

Varralath’s dragonet hide is reminiscent of the ocean on a clear and calm day. It’s a very even blue without any oddities to it.

Varralath grows into a respectable sized dragon, coming in on the higher end of the blue scale, though still not one of the largest. His wing span, however, is slightly longer than what should typically go for his size which sometimes makes him a bit clumsy when not paying attention until his older years when he is more accustomed to them.His hide is that of a beautiful deep blue that is similar to that of his Hatchling hide but it now has ribbons of purple streaking through body and wings. One other distinctive mark from others close to his colour palette is the dark streak of blue over his left eye and down the side of his nose, stopping at his mouth.

Varralath’s voice is rather mellow with a lilting tone to it that is very noticeable when excited.Personality
Varralath can sometimes come across as having the mind of a firelizard. When he’s in one of his moods, his mind flitters about from topic to topic, usually those that are fanciful. For the most part, however, he is simply a playful dragon out to enjoy whatever the day gives and conquer the evil foes and obstacles that present themselves.He’s also a bit curious, not afraid to ask questions when something comes up that he doesn’t understand or even something completely random that flittered into his head. This is part of the reason why he likes exploring, even if Z’rin sometimes hesitates due to a fear of getting lost. There’s always something to find and learn, and if not, Varralath is perfectly okay making up a silly story about what may have taken place.

Habits/Mannerisms: Has a habit of giving out nicknames that are simply the name and a rhymed word, like Anna-banana.Likes:
People-watching: It’s fascinating to see how humans interact and behave around each other and even what their habits and quirks are.
Dancing: Varralath loves bouncing from foot to foot in his own little dance. He’ll do it when music is playing or even if he’s simply humming a song for himself. He’ll also happily watch humans dance at a gather, bouncing at the sidelines.
Cake: Since the early moments of Impressing and Z’rin mentioning cake, Varralath has craved it. Once he finally got a bite, he decided it was delicious and sneaks pieces when he can.
Dislikes:
Scary Stories: Varralath enjoys a good story like the ones Aradissicath and her rider tell, but he hates one that are scary and have monsters; they usually give him nightmares.
Strengths:
Adventurous: Varralath loves exploring and going to new locations. He likes how he can learn about new things and it’s all about having fun.
Persistent: Even when they come across a stumbling block, Varralath always wants to push on and conquer the issue. This usually leads to the pair training harder or even just Z’rin having to listen to Varralath encourage him on in human endeavours.

Easily Distracted: Usually he does it to himself and while in the middle of a conversation.
Naive: Varralath is easy to convince outlandish stories are truth and he will believe it until he either forgets or Z’rin sets the story straight for him.
