Inappropriate Timing [E'kan] - Parella - 18.Jun.12

The Weyr was still asleep, or at least most of it was. There were a few usual morning birds awake but they were quiet and kept to themselves. Par'a certainly wasn't amongst those, but Grith was. Of course.

Lonely and bored she was bounding along between the huts, taking quick sharp turns between them and weaving her own little pattern. The sun was slowly rising, occasionally catching her vibrant hide as she flashed between the huts. She was beautiful. And quiet.

So, so quiet.

The silence permeated Par'a sleep, the unease waking her. Frowning she rubbed her eyes, at first unable to place why exactly she had woken. After a few moments she realized that even with her walls down she couldn't hear Grith's constant buzz of conversation. Reaching out she felt Grith's calmness as she pranced, well she was certainly awake.

'Grith, darling?'

She asked, stretching out in her furs. Grith didn't respond immediately, which was enough reason alone to get worried. Pushing herself upright she rubbed her eyes again, trying to figure out what was going on with her Green.

Morning Par'a!

Grith sang in her mind. Par'a frowned, this was just weird. Too weird!

Let's go!

Grith announced, launching herself into the air. Lust slammed into Par'a as if she had just run full-pelt into a wall as her dragon pushed herself upwards. She spoke to all the males who were awake and all those who were asleep. Now was the perfect time to be awake!

Re: Inappropriate Timing [E'kan] - ZZZ NPC - 20.Jun.12

Most of the Weyr was still asleep, and that included E'kan. The person next to him shifted, climbing out of the bed and vanishing into the pre-dawn light with nary even a goodbye, and in all frankness E'kan would be quite fine with that when he woke up to find them gone. He'd probably be a lot more upset that the man took Kan's shirt, leaving the brownrider with some slinky ripped up thing, probably to teach him not to get over-vigorous. Yet that also was okay, because that shirt would go somewhere in the pile of clothes, and E'kan would find something to wear that may or may not actually be clean, but would service.

He heard Zhekemth's tail smash into the side of the hut- that was what woke him, blinking blearily in the shadows of the hut. He smelled like salt and cardamom, and his hut stank of sweat and drink, and some food that he had snitched from the dining hall a few days ago and forgotten to dispose of properly. He'd meant to get started on it today, but why was he up so early? "Zhekemth?" he asked, and heard pawing at the door to his hut. Stumbling outside shirtless, he peered at his Bondmate, silhouetted against the gray sky. "And what are you up to?"

She wants us to be awake! Hurry up! Zhekemth was trying very hard to let his rider prepare for what was coming. E'kan had gotten his fun- now it was time for Zhek to get his!

"What are you-" he heard a sound, saw his dragon's eyes light violet with lust and groaned, wishing he'd thought to take a freshwater bath after the late night skinnydipping last night. He pitied the greenrider whose dragon had decided to rise this morning- their choices were probably slim. He saw a shape fling itself upwards, and others follow like birds. And then Zhekemth was after them, and E'kan stumbled towards where he may have seen the first figure rise from.

Grith was singing as she flew, trilling some nonsense tune while the male dragons woke and began to follow her. Even in the dull grey skies she stood out like a beacon, her lime markings a perfect marker against her dark hide. She tossed her head, choosing to make a circle around the Weyr first just to make sure that every male that was interested knew that she was there. High in the sky and glowing like a green sun.

Par'a was less than impressed with Grith's timing, she was sure that none of the men and women who were likely to come stumbling to her hut would be of the same mind. Dragging herself out of her bed she tossed the furs onto it somewhat haphazardly, making a quick round of her hut. Being naturally impatient, it was a horrid mess and she usually tried to find other locations to be when Grith flew or at the very least tidy in the hours before she rose.

"Bloody nuisance of a dragon..." She muttered as she tossed and kicked things out of the way, making sure riders wouldn't trip and do something stupid like break their necks as they found their way in. The upside to Grith's early rising meant that those who gave chase were slower than usual to arrive, groggy with sleep and lust it gave Par'a enough time to make a path and stow away fragile items.

Satsified with the following she had acquired, Grith powered into the air, heading north towards the mountains. She was definitely pleased, there was no tell-tale shimmering of hide amongst her pursuers and enough Blues to make her own daytime sky. Looking at the mountains she aimed for the steepest part she could see. Arriving at it she angled herself upwards, flying almost close enough to brush the mountain with her wingtips. The peak was far above them, too far to continue the almost vertical climb she had started. But she was Grith and she was determined.
