To the Skies! [Solo] - B'jin - 09.Apr.12

Larrikith's shriek, challenging the male population of the Weyr filled the early morning skies, and B'jin, curled up against R'nd, gasped and, jerking, toppled out of his bed in shock. He cursed when he landed heavily on his back on the unforgiving floor. The stitching didn't approve of that and he was sure he felt several of them burst; just wonderful. Hissing between his teeth and cursing under his breath, B'jin struggled out of the furs he'd dragged onto the floor with him, his movements jerky and frantic. Scrabbling to his feet, B'jin threw the furs back on the end of the bed and paused just long enough to press a heated kiss to R'nd's lips, too caught up in his frantic need to be out of his hut to laugh at the shocked look on his friend's face. "Catch us!" He hissed, eyes losing focus as Larrikith's needs began to override his own. Swearing again, B'jin swept up a pair of pants, hopping around comically as he forced his legs into them - swearing again when they ended up being too big - R'nd's! Hissing - both in annoyance and as an echo of Larrikith's own hiss as she flared her wings on the roof above his head - B'jin jerked the lacing into a sad excuse for a knot and fled the hut, tripping on the extra length of pant legs and running his shoulder heavily into the door frame on his way out.

The moment the man's feet touched the grass outside his hut, Larrikith gave another shriek, her eyes swirling in a rapid display, before she threw herself into the air, wings beating strongly as she zipped off at high speed up into the sky, looking back only once to see who dared angle after her. She snarled at them, the sound at once challenging and disgusted as she angled higher still, shooting through a low hanging cloud to erupt on the other side, wings spread wide. She paused above them or a moment, before plummeting backwards, dropping like a stone through their midst she spiralled down towards the ground at fantastic speeds, wings closed and held tightly to her side. straightening out, she flung her wings out with abandon, her small body jerking at the change in aerodynamics and she shot off barely above the roves of the huts. She glanced back, taking in the sight of the smaller array of blues that chased her, and a small brown. The larger dragons were shown to be several lengths above, having followed at a slower pace during her dive. Larrikith hissed up at them.

Twisting her weight, the little dragon spun almost completely around, dropped several feet and literally shot through the space between the buildings, her wings spread to barely half their full width she gave a smug bellow when her suitors were required to change tactics in order to further chase her. Twisting again suddenly between another two buildings, Larrikith suddenly shot skyward, spiralling between two blues, wings working hard to push her plump body further, higher, fighting against gravity. Her shriek of success was cut off part way as claws latched onto her wing joints, and her cry became a sound of outraged fury as the dragon jerked her to himself, neck and tail twining even as Larrikith fought viciously against him. The larger, stronger dragon had her well within his control, however, and Larrikith gave a bellow of rage as he altered their flight pattern, gliding in a gentle downward direction.

B'jin, caught up in the motions of his dragon had stopped his mindless fleeing several lengths from his house, sight locked firmly with his dragon he saw not the men and women gathering around him, only those that were chasing their beautiful green tail, as if any of them were worthy of a prize such as she! The green dragon's cries were echoed by the rider, his brown eyes dull to the world surrounding him as he joined completely with his dragon, thrilling in the chase! Larrikith's cry of outrage was echoed by B'jin who snarled in fury, jerking viciously against the strong grip of the rider that latched onto him, the man's face burning with rage as he fought viciously to be free, before he, like his dragon, was conquered by superior strength and the pair were shoved by less oblivious minds into a hut, the owner stalking off with a grumpy and snide comment about greens.

Larrikith's disgruntled displeasure radiated against him like heat from a fire as B'jin began to recognise the difference once more between dragon and human, his eyes opening blearily and he lifted a hand to his face, rubbing absently. Ugh. He felt like crap. Not a good one, then, he concluded absently. Larrikith grumbled on the edge of his consciousness, but B'jin didn't pay attention and she wasn't speaking loud enough to demand he do so. Groaning as he forced himself onto one elbow, B'jin frowned down at his partner, eyebrows drawing together more tightly when the sight of the elder woman met his brown eyes. His gaze narrowed, recognising her features, lips pursing into a tight line. Larri? What the shards? Larrikith's voice was a hiss of irritation, He caught me! She spat, outraged. Fantastic. That explained a lot to the greenrider, who grimaced at the unhappy muscles as he rolled out of the bed they'd used. Faranth only knew where he'd ended up this time. Flicking the furs back over the woman, B'jin ignored her lazily opening eyes as he staggered around the room picking up clothing. Most of it apparently belonged to the woman, before B'jin raised his eyebrows at what was quite obviously R'nd's pants.

Why must you fly so damned early? B'jin groaned to his dragon, ignoring the brownriding woman's quiet question as he pulled the pants on with quick movements, and tightened the lacing as much as it would do so. He jerked the legs up, so the hems weren't under his heels, and sighed. He was going to end up owing the bluerider a whole wardrobe the way he was going. Where are you? he added, as he waved a disgruntled goodbye to the woman, not paying her a lick of attention as he closed the door behind himself. If he had paid her any attention at all, he would have seen the effects of his fighting her in the scratch marks across her chest, and the blooming bruise on the base of her chin where he had head butted her. (She, for her part, would know better than to encourage her dragon to capture the feisty green dragon, and advise others against it, as she had been) B'jin, however, was remarkably uninterested in the woman or her concerns as he rubbed the back of his neck. There were fingerprint bruises blooming across his arms and shoulders from where she'd grabbed and held him.

Here, the little dragon mumbled unhappily, alighting gently beside the hut and waiting patiently as B'jin climbed aboard.  Your back is bleeding. I'm not surprised. Bath house, then I'll see if Talian can patch me up. Do you want clothes? I have R'nd's pants - that thought was thick with amusement, before the rider sobered visibly. Faranth, Larri, you haven't been caught in ages. Hmph. He cheated. B'jin laughed. "He's a brown. What do you expect?"
