Father is finally making the sweet Lamb marry. It's something arranged with Fort and apparently he wants Jaetyn to attend as well to help strengthen ties between the two Holds. I guess since he's the next in line, it makes sense.
Until he isn't.
I think it's time to move this line of succession along.

Well that didn't work quite as well as I hoped.
Father died but Jaetyn survived. I suppose I did move the line of succession along but just not as much as I hoped.
It has given me new motivation, mostly in the form of making sure I stay alive. I've decided to pack up the family and return to my wife's family home in Ista Hold. In past visits I made significant progress with the heir, Arda. Minor detail with him being my wife's brother. He has a tight ass and gullible enough to sway to my way of thinking.
Why should I rule when I can make another do that while I reap the benefits?

I know there was a lot of whispering about why I was leaving High Reaches but I think my good reputation and charming smile was enough to make people believe what I wanted them to. Like how the loss of my father made my wife miss hers and it was to hard on me to see the Hold without him roaming the halls. I did let some people continue to believe that it was for safety, knowing they believed Jaetyn to be far more ruthless than I could ever be.
Will I return to High Reaches? Perhaps. But Ista holds more opportunities at the moment and I'm all about seeing to my needs first.

I've made the acquaintance of the most delightful goldrider today on a trip to one of the more dubious shops in Ista. This wretched weather has been a nightmare to grow anything in but it did leave me with the chance to make new alliances.
Goldrider Casa needed some Slutty Gold for her pathetic boyfriend and somewhere along the way I took her virginity in the store room of the shop and brownrider K'tir (apparently watching the shop for the actual owner) joined in. Slutty Gold, indeed!
I fear I may have unleashed a sex-crazed monster on the Weyr. Her boyfriend doesn't stand a chance, which is good for me.
She loved everything I threw at her, moulding her into the perfect toy. Or pet. I don't think I want to break this one but keep her for a while.
She seemed interested in further meetings for both sex and making fun drinks, which will hopefully keep her enthralled with me long enough to use her when they open High Reaches Weyr. She'd be the perfect puppet to control while she in turn controlled the Weyrleader. I have a feeling that there won't be many that can say no to her stubbornness or sex if she applied it right, or if her current boyfriend was the Leader. Then again, having her take over in Ista would be better if Aldra is ruling the Hold by that time. I'd have a good grip on both and be sitting comfortably.
Now to play her right and keep our meetings distant so they add more of a thrill when we do collide again.
I do wonder if she'll follow through on the orgy I mentioned that she seemed to love. Knowing what I brought out in her, I anticipate the full report next we meet.
