Legs -1, Owies +10 [Open] - Oahvakeen - 20.May.13 Bitter tears still stained his face as he was helped into the healing hall. "Ow, ow, ow....", he whispered, a chant of pain. At least he was conscious. Like the time he got into a building collapse with Ravana, at least he had remembered not to let himself sleep. Which was why this whole thing had started, in a round-about way: a continuous lack of sleep had played with his head and turned him into a raging Hulk, only without the color green, without the super strength, and without his wits about him. "Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow ....", he continued, unable to think of much else. Re: Legs -1, Owies +10 [Open] - Ravana - 20.May.13 Shanith was upset. She was upset with Oahvakeen, upset with D'hys, upset with Ravana herself...Though mostly upset with Oahvakeen. The dragon would have happily ended it herself if it weren't for one thing. One, and most important, she couldn't reach. Two, she could feel the selfblame waiting to sink it's claws into her rider's mind. Silently, she wished Ravana had never volunteered to help clean up healers hall and been trapped with him in the cave in. Then Ravana might be able to walk away now. Shanith tried to reach Khaduceth and T'lian again and shifted from foot to foot, tail lashing back and forth in agitation. She had been told to get him herself if need be, but her place was here, as close to hers as she could get. Ravana would need her no matter what the fallout of this was. Shanith had known Ravana would be happier not knowing what Oahvakeen had done, but the cat was out of the bag. If she could she would make sure the greenrider never learned who Oahvakeen had attacked. Her rider's faith in the weyr's leadership was in shreds, but the dragon knew it would be best for all if it never completely died. She would keep her rider from discovering Tyrrisath's involvement in this if she could. Her rider was still reeling from the bluerider's words, her hands pausing over Oahvakeen's leg. For a moment she couldn't bring herself to touch him. Dragonslayer. Someone who would tear a rider's soul in half. Who would harm one that couldn't fight back. Those thoughts hit the green like a load of bricks, and she shuddered with the force of her rider's revulsion and disappointment. "Oahvakeen, what have you done?" Her words were hoarse, voice roughened with grief and rage, Ravana's objectivity coming back to her like a flood of ice. Ravana looked at him and nearly turned around and left. In the end she took a breath and leaned on Shanith's presence in her mind. To her rider alone, the green crooned. Shanith couldn't help asking, If anything killed Oahvakeen, it would be the leg wound which looked...bad. Very bad. Right now he was more likely to bleed out on the floor than anything else. Shanith felt her rider's uncertainty and wish that someone, anyone was there to help her through this. She felt her reject the thought as selfish, reminding herself that she had been supposed to be watching over Oahvakeen. That this would harm anyone who came into contact with it. At least Talian could hide behind a healer's oath to help any who needed it. The green nearly went to her mate knowing Ravana needed help with this, but stayed there, reaching for Khaduceth one last time, trying to get the brown to hear her and bring his rider here. She didn't care if the man bleeding out on the ground by her rider died, but Ravana did, so Shanith would do her best to help, as long as it didn't mean leaving her life partner's side. And in time, she would make him pay for making her feel like this again. Shanith would make sure of it. If he lived, of course. Re: Legs -1, Owies +10 [Open] - T'lian - 26.May.13 T'lian had gone to bed early the night before, due mostly to boredom. He'd lacked lessons or any serious work, and with his few friends otherwise occupied, he was left with little to do. After a little light reading and spending a bit of time poking and examining his new fire lizard egg (which he still had found no home for), he decided to turn in and get some real sleep. Maybe he was a little more tired than he thought, because the following morning he'd slept far later than usual. He woke only a couple hours before noon. It was nice to sleep in for a change, and since the morning had been slow as well, it gave him time to have a relaxing long breakfast and spend some time training Fellis. He'd finally taught the little beast how to fetch specific items for him, making his work a little bit easier and providing some quality entertainment for colleagues and friends. Fellis was still a bit too skittish to perform under pressure, but the little beast had grown braver over time, so T'lian was confident that eventually, it would work. He was just beginning to ponder a stroll when a sudden shudder ran through him. An image flashed. It was fleeting, perhaps relayed from someone else who'd already seen. It came and went so fast, and yet certain parts of it were swiftly burned into the healer's mind. He saw blood, exposed bone, and mangled flesh. He wasn't sure who it was or what had happened, but the urgency in Khaduceth's voice reaffirmed his immediate concern. He dropped his parchment and sprang to his feet, much to Fellis' alarm, and took off into the hallway to try and meet the injured party. He could only assume that they were, in fact, on their way. By the time he reached the lobby, some of the others healers had already greeted the wounded boy and his helper. Tal grimaced at the sight. It was the worse he'd ever seen, even worse than Jada. I know "Come on! Get him into the first available room and get me some redwort!" he called out. He ran over to inspect the wound, keeping his hands clear until he could wash them. "What happened? Can either of you tell me?" he asked, eyes flashing between Oahvakeen and Ravana. Re: Legs -1, Owies +10 [Open] - Oahvakeen - 05.Jun.13 Ravana was talking to him, and he had a hard time concentrating even on breathing. He was silent for too long to be a conversation, his brain struggling to process the auditory information of Ravana's voice in to his ears. "S-s-something s-s-stupid", he managed to groan out, as his body was manipulated onto a piece of hide he couldn't feel and drug to the healing hall. He managed to notice that the scenery was changing, but why the scenery was changing was beyond him, and he couldn't process that he was being dragged. And then, seemingly, suddenly, he was in the healing hall, with someone talking to him. He realized he blacked out for a little while during the dragging, and that he was in enormous pain. Why was he in pain? Oh, oh. "I p-p-p ....", he tried, but wasn't able to finish as he winced with a wave of pain from every part. "P-p-p...", another wave. The pain was overwhelming, nausea at its edges, and the darkness creeping into his peripheral vision. It was then that it all overtook him, and he slumped, unconscious. -- fade out / exit -- Re: Legs -1, Owies +10 [Open] - Ravana - 07.Jun.13 Oahvakeen tried to tell Masterhealer Talian, he truly did. He passed out before he could and he seemed to be the only one who could. "I don't know, I found him like this and...I tried to stop the bleeding long enough to get him here with the tourniquet. Shanith's saying something about dragon bites, but dragon's don't attack people and a bite wouldn't turn his leg into that." She felt helpless, uesless, and was praying she hadn't made it all worse by dragging him but she knew she wouldn't be able to carry him safely to healing hall....Not without tripping over her own feet and making it all so much worse. She took a breath, looked at Oahvakeen and steeled herself. Talian had his healer's oath to protect him from fallout over this. She had nothing. But her was her fri...She couldn't quite call him that. Part of her knew. Knew that he had hurt a dragon. He needed to live or her weyr would tear itself apart. Steeling herself with that thought, she looked at Talian. "Do you have enough hands, or should I wash up with redwort and try and help?" She couldn't do much, she knew that but she wasn't sure who was there to help. Shanith looked to Khaduceth. Stubborn had been banished outside and alighted on Shanith, shaking with her bonded's fear and nerves. |
