Early on the morning of 15.12.232, a new notice silently appears on the Weyr's announcement boards.
"Attention,
It is with pleasure that acting Weyrleader S'kef and Weyrwoman Tsuen announce that Bronzerider D'ren's condition has stabilized. The poisoning has passed, but the the long-term effects are expected to be serious. He is now well enough to receive visitors, and we all wish him a speedy recovery.
However, since Bronzerider D'ren is unlikely to be able to resume his duties, his position has been permanently transferred to acting Weyrleader S'kef.
The Weyrleader and Weyrwoman continue to encourage the population to search for the man or woman responsible. "
Underneath, S'kef and Tsuen's signatures are visible. There are also a few notes about the investigation; the letter found in the dining caverns has finally had it's handwriting analyzed*, and Master Healer Talian has been released of suspicion and is again free to aid in D'ren's care.
