Pouncing Lessons [Open] - Aparicus - 27.Nov.12
Aparicus couldn’t be happier as she sat in the spring sunshine, her skirts spread around her and her wide-brimmed hat placed firmly on her head as she gently pulled the pest bugs off the new shoots and leaves of her spice garden. Of course, she could only pull off the grubs and beetles that were too slow to escape. The winged pests which were more difficult for her to shoo from the plants were proving to be the source of her laughter – or rather her little bronze charge’s antics at attempting to catch them.
“Honestly, you look more like a feline than a dragon.” She remarked as she watched the little bronze crawl with his belly across the grass toward a particularly plump grasshopper. His tail twitched a few times before he finally pounced, very feline like, only to look between his forepaws quizzically and watch the grasshopper jump out and to freedom once more.
“Well you caught it, but you didn’t keep it. Is that what game you’re playing?” she asked as he turned to look at her. No response came, however, as he was quickly distracted by the bug landing once more a few feet away. Lowering himself, he began his belly-crawl once more and the young woman was left simply shaking her head.
