She woke up early in the morning, when the sun was just starting to rise. A small groan left her as she slowly pried her eyes open. It might be time to wake up but that didn't mean she wanted to. In fact every fiber of her being was begging her to just stay in bed and attempt to slip back in to sweet oblivion. But that just wouldn't do. Before too long she would have to wake up for chores anyway, not to mention that there was something that she wanted to get over with today. For the past few days she had been feeling a little off. It was just a stuffy nose, this was something she knew very well. But she wanted to get herself looked at to make sure she wasn't getting sick. There was also something else that she wanted to get checked on. Around two months ago she had gotten drunk and had intercourse, twice, and she wanted to know if she should be expecting any signs of pregnancy. So far there had been absolutely no hints at it, something that struck her as odd even though it was a bit of a relief. At this point in her life she was not ready for a child. While she was no healer having intercourse twice and in a close period of time seemed like something that would get her pregnant. This was why she was going to a healer, to see what was going on.
Everything felt like a blur as Sasha pulled on clothes and slipped out of her room, blinking sleep out of her eyes. Slowly she trudged toward the Healer Hall. She was aware that one of the healers, the master healer in fact, was a male. But there were lots of people in Katila, surely there wasn't only one healer in the entire place. Hopefully she would get lucky and end up with a female healer. Even at the best of times she wasn't comfortable around men, the idea of talking to one about her body absolutely mortified her. As fear for that exact situation began to enter her she attempted to calm herself. What were the chances she would end up with a male healer out of all the healers in the weyr?
By the time she reached the Healer Hall she was wide awake, or at least close. Nothing like walking and worrying to wake a girl up, she thought to herself. When she first entered the hall she was unsure what to do. During her time at the weyr she had only come to see a healer when absolutely necessary, this was her first time coming on her own free will. For a moment she just sort of hovered there, biting her lower lip and glancing about. This didn't last long though as Sasha soon called out, "hello? Is anyone here?"
