Ista is heating up swiftly, and preparing for a rough summer - hopefully nothing like the one from a couple turns before with the wildfires! The rest of Northern Pern is warming upsomewhat slower, but with no less gusto as summer begins to creep into the sky, keeping the sun awake longer, warming the ledges of the weyrs. Rainstorms are sporadic, but keep the world well watered, despite the heat of the days.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL

17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

Azrin started the day when he felt like starting it. Growing up, that usually meant waking early for lessons and it continued into adulthood. After his father’s sudden and tragic death and Jaetyn taking over as Lord Holder, Azrin moved to Ista Hold and did his best to treat it as a vacation where he slept in and lazed about all day. He sucked at it. There were days where he managed to say in bed two or three hours longer than usual but that usually followed a late night. Typically, he rose for breakfast with his wife and went about starting his day. Some things required the cover of night to get done but most needed the day and he got an early start to it.

Today was an even earlier start; or it would be once he headed to Tillek, a few hours behind Ista. After catching up with Casa the day before, Azrin had learned his dear fellow second son had attended the Hatching that Lords were not supposed to attend. Tazikel was a special kid and most wouldn’t believe him if he said a blue sired the clutch anyway, but just in case, a visit was in order. He was also curious about how Tazikel even came to be there. Kordiavis inviting him did seem to be the most logical answer but it felt like Casa hadn’t been telling the entire truth since the boy wouldn’t have said such things in public—probably not even in private.

When Z’rin had brought him home the day before, Azrin arranged for another pick up for the following morning. The bluerider was precious with how eager he was to help and do his job, a rarity really. So he wasn’t surprised that the man was already waiting when he left the Hold. Azrin greeted him, pleasantries exchanged, and they were soon off and landing in Tillek just after the sun was rising. He didn’t think his business would take long but in case he wanted to socialise further or do a little shopping, Z’rin was told to return midday to bring him back to Ista.

After that, it was a simple matter of getting into the Hold by both waving around his title and charming people into letting him go right to Lord Tazikel’s bed chamber since the sweet boy was still in bed. He figured that would be the case, hoped for it honestly. A still sleepy Tazikel had a better chance of speaking truthfully, but in case he was a muddled mess, they had time to wake him up for a proper conversation.

He considered his options for waiting or waking his unsuspecting host before finally going with something a little fun; if it worked. He leaned across the bed and blew gently at an exposed ear before pitching his voice up a bit to whisper, “wakey, wakey.” Straightening, Azrin watched for any reaction that brought.

Tazikel had been sleeping contentedly, not far from waking up on his own, when someone very rudely blew on his ear and startled him awake. He bolted upright, looking to find the perpetrator. “What the fuck,” Tazikel said, glaring at the offending second son. “Azrin, you dick,” he growled, throwing one of his pillows at the man and pouting at him. There was nothing he’d been told about that required he be up and about at this time of the morning, and Tazikel knew he would have remembered if Azrin had informed them he was visiting, which meant he hadn’t informed anyone, just shown up. How typical of him.

“What do you even want?” Tazikel grumbled, lying back down forcefully and pulling the blanket back up over his head. “Could it not have waited like, an hour? Twenty minutes? Maybe sent advance notice, let me put on pants first?” Honestly, what possible reason could there be for Azrin showing up that early, if it was actually something important someone in the household would have woken him up and he’d have been called to see his father, which meant this was something that didn’t matter to anyone besides Azrin and he just wanted to be a piece of shit. Bastard. Tazikel would have done the exact same thing.

Azrin laughed at the reaction, catching the pillow when it came sailing at him. That alone would have been worth the trip but he did still want his information that he came for. “The bed head and pout are very adorable but they won’t work on me, Tazikel,” though he could see how easily a lover of the young second son would crumble to it.

As Tazikel burrowed back under the blankets, Azrin returned to the bed and set the pillow down over where it seemed a head was and gave the soft item a pat. “Do be careful, my friend. Pillows have been known to innocently smother people while they slept.” He wasn’t threatening Tazikel, not really, but more reminding him he really should take better care of his belongings, especially when someone else was lurking in his room.

“And pants aren’t needed for our friendly conversation. You don’t even need to get up,” Azrin promised as he made himself at home on the bed, back propped up against the wall, booted feet crossed at the ankles, and fingers playing with his large ring that showed him to be a member of the High Reaches family. “You see, your name was on the lips of someone I know and it turns out you were at Ista’s most recent Hatching. Since none of us actually in Ista went, I was curious to hear what you thought about it.” And to see if the kid even noticed the blue sire. Azrin hoped not as he did like Tazikel and would hate to actually have to use that pillow.

Tazikel humphed softly at Azrin putting the pillow back over his head and the accompanying commentary. “Ah, yes, those clumsy pillows, always accidentally murdering people. The scourge of sleepers everywhere.” Honestly, what kind of comment was that. Who even joked about smothering a guy with his own pillow right after waking him up too early? Azrin was so weird, and Tazikel was compelled to pull the blanket down to uncover his face so he could properly give him an unimpressed glare, pillow falling off of him in the process. He rolled over so he could better look up at Azrin now that he’d joined him on the bed - he’d sat too close and Tazikel had to strain his neck to look at his face. When he moved, he noticed something else, and frowned.

“Get your boots off my bed, you animal,” Tazikel griped, half-heartedly shoving Azrin’s legs, “Aren’t you supposed to have manners?” He gave the offending booted feet a light kick before he sighed dramatically and relaxed back into the mattress. Azrin was ridiculous, but so was he, so Tazikel supposed it worked out. Probably a second son thing.

“My name is on a lot of people’s lips,” Tazikel said with a lazy haughtiness, “But yes, I was at the Ista Hatching. It was a Hatching, you’ve been to them before, you know what they’re like. Tiny number of eggs, but I’ve been told the senior queen of Fort lays massive clutches, and those are the only Hatchings I’ve been to before, so I may not have the best point of comparison. Maybe this gold just has tiny clutches. I didn’t ask.” He’d been more distracted by things like ‘wow, Mylorah is gorgeous,’ and ‘oh no, Mylorah is crying,’ and ‘wait, Kordiavis and Mylorah know each other?’ The intricacies of Hatchings didn’t interest him as much. “If you’re so interested in the Hatching, Azrin, why didn’t you go in the first place?” Tazikel asked.

Azrin just raised his brows at Tazikel's mini meltdown over his boots, far too amused by that being the major focus upon waking, though he supposed he wouldn't have been too happy about it if the roles were reversed. Still, he humoured Tazikel for a moment, making a show of moving his legs so the boots hung over the edge and then moved them back when his young friend was distracted with moving around again.

Given the brief review of the Hatching, Azrin felt it safe to assume Tazikel didn't notice the blue sire. If he had, that would have been one of the first things out of his mouth since lordlings liked nothing more than to gossip about other people--especially those in unfortunate circumstances. "Then I missed nothing exciting. Just a standard Hatching but a quarter of the size. Colour me relieved." And Tazikel unharmed. As much as he liked his fellow second son, Azrin liked his plans working out flawlessly even more.

"You see, I didn't attend because letters were sent out to the Holds stating we shouldn't waste our time coming for such an oddly small clutch. Which leads me to believe you were personally invited. Since I haven't seen you at past Ista Hatchings, I'm going to assume you reconnected with our dear Kordiavis and he asked you to come." He still wasn't convinced Casa had been telling the truth. Too many details didn't add up since he knew the man somewhat well enough to catch them. If she had been lying, he was proud of her attempt but he'd have to give her lessons in how to do it more convincingly.

"Or perhaps someone else caught your eye and you were there for her? You and that insatiable love of the ladies would lead you to the Weyrs eventually." Like he was one to talk but Azrin was simply tossing out another idea, one that would have made more sense if High Reaches Weyr was open, but Ista? That seemed a bit unlikely but it gave him a chance to tease Tazikel which was why he grinned as he said it and ruffled the blonde locks that were in absolute chaos from sleep.

The hair ruffling got a deeply unimpressed pout from Tazikel, and he brushed his hair back in an attempt to neaten it before responding. “Hmn, I did run into Kordiavis at the Telgar Gather, and he did invite me to visit, but not to the Hatching specifically. The invite did indeed come from a pretty girl. What can I say, I was loath to refuse her,” he said lazily, rolling over a little and noticing Azrin’s boots were back on his bed. Tazikel frowned at them, deeply offended, but put off retaliating just yet. Instead, he focused back on Azrin’s face.

“You know, it sounds rather like you know a Weyr girl or two yourself.” Tazikel raised an eyebrow at Azrin, assuming he was right. Azrin clearly thought there were lovely ladies at the Weyrs, and if it was inevitable for Tazikel to discover it, he didn’t doubt Azrin had learned it first. That was how most things went, since Azrin was older and paid more attention to things over all.

So it appeared his goldrider had lied after all. It wasn't surprising given his suspicions but Azrin was going to have to have a chat with her about knowing the subject and the audience. For her first attempt at lying to him and trying to get information out of him, she did well but there was plenty of room for improvement. This girl in question was likely close to Casa. No doubt she had gushed about the lordling she had met somewhere--possibly the Gather since Kordiavis was there as well--which led to Casa needing to know more about the man her friend was interested in. Azrin doubted much more would come from that union given Tazikel's attention span and how easily distracted he was with the next pretty thing but getting more information wouldn't hurt, especially if they did continue keeping in touch.

"You would be safe in that assumption. I'm somewhat close to the rather vivacious goldrider Casa. You could say I'm her tutor. She has quite the appetite for learning and I've been teaching her all I know about the families and regions." Tazikel didn't need to know that she shared his interest in his hobbies like poisons and sex, but at least one of those would likely be assumed given the younger man's time in High Reaches.

"And who is your pretty girl? I told you about mine after all. I can also keep an eye on her for you since I'm at the Weyr regularly. Assuming she still holds your attention, of course."

Tazikel was almost positive he’d heard the name Casa before, and if she was a goldrider it was probably at the Hatching. Had it been her dragon’s clutch? But if Azrin was ‘somewhat close’ to her - and Tazikel certainly caught some of the implications there - why wouldn’t he have gone to the Hatching? Even if he’d been told not to waste his time. It didn’t really make sense. Maybe he had heard her name in another context. Had Mylorah had mentioned her at some point? He couldn’t remember. Again, he’d been distracted.

“If you take your boots of my bed and keep them off I might tell you,” Tazikel said sweetly, smiling at Azrin. “And what would you need to keep an eye on her for, from yourself?” There wasn’t anything Tazikel could think of she’d need to be monitored for. It wasn’t like she was his wife and he was supposed to be sure she wasn’t off having some other man’s children or whatever. They were hardly exclusive, so he hardly needed someone to report back on who she was sleeping with when he wasn’t around. Tazikel didn’t actually care. She was interesting and he liked her, but that didn’t mean he needed to know every detail of her life. What an Azrin thing to want to know.

Azrin rolled his eyes at the sweetly delivered request but he followed it anyway. He didn’t mind humouring Tazikel which such a minor thing and even managed to keep his boots off the bed for longer than a few seconds this time as he shifted slightly to make himself more comfortable with them hanging over the edge. But what was he going to do with how easily Tazikel missed the point? To be fair, his young friend was right to point out how he could be the predator that pretty girls needed to be kept safe from but that hadn’t been the point this time.

“I have my beloved Candri; I have no need of your pretty girl, Tazikel.” Not publically anyway. If he could get a damned name out of the man, then perhaps the girl would be useful in other ways but currently he had no designs to seduce her himself. One lover in the Weyr was more than enough with Candristra so close by. “I figured she would only tell you so much in her love letters to you and not want to bother you with any issues she might have. But it sounds like you’ve already moved on and don’t need a hand.”

Azrin then laughed as he thought about something that was so very Tazikel that he was surprised he hadn’t thought of it earlier. “Oh, please tell me you actually know her name. Tazikel, you dog! Have you only been using adorable pet names with her the entire time?”

It was definitely a success that Azrin took his boots off the bed, and Tazikel smiled at him for doing it. Even if it was essentially for a bribe, but whatever. Tazikel still got him to do it, and that was enough of a win for him.

“She’s not my errant wife, Azrin, I don’t need to keep tabs on her. Don’t try to spin it like it’s about her well-being, either. It’s not my job to fix all her problems. If she wants to tell me about things that she’s dealing with, I’ll listen, but I don’t need to know every detail of her life. ‘Casual’ doesn’t usually entail hours of research. Except for you, but we all know you’re obsessive.” Tazikel shrugged. It wasn’t that he didn’t care if Mylorah was having a rough time with things, but if she wanted him to help with it, or just vent, she could do so. He didn’t need to stalk her for it. That was weird and creepy and was a lot more investment than he was interested in.

“And I do too know her name,” Tazikel protested, rolling his eyes. “It’s Mylorah, and don’t act like you tricked me into saying it because I was going to anyway, since you moved your boots off the bed. Though,” he paused to think about it, “I probably could get away with just using pet names for a girl.” He grinned at Azrin. “I totally could, right?”

Honestly, Tazikel could be such work at times. The denseness sometimes worked in Azrin’s favour but other times he found it hard to penetrate it. Thankfully the kid gave him the information he wanted before another tactic was employed—or more likely given up all together with his focus switching to Casa and grilling her. He didn’t act like he tricked Tazikel since he was told not to and simply grinned innocently and nodded at the name. Mylorah. Nothing rang a bell but he’d look into her when he had a chance. “Ah, Mylorah. Indeed a pretty girl. Well done with that one. But you’re right; if it’s just a casual thing and only for sex, then I needn’t bother playing wingman or anything for you.” Not that Tazikel needed assistance with the ladies with his own youthful look and adorable curls.

“And you’re right about that as well. It’s why pet names were invented, my dear boy. If you’re only picking a woman up for a night of sex, there’s no need to remember her name.” He usually did just to ensure they didn’t cause trouble for him later on but in most cases, names weren’t needed for the memories or in the moment.

“Anyway, I suppose I should be off and leave you to your morning,” with the adorable curls comment still in his mind, Azrin couldn’t resist as he leaned down and placed a kiss Tazikel’s forehead and ruffled his hair once more as he pulled back. “Shall I summon a maid for you on my way out? Someone to help you with your morning wood you’ve been trying to hide this whole time?” Tazikel was buried in enough luxuriant fabric that Azrin honestly wouldn’t have been able to tell even if he had been looking for it, but considering they were both men, it was an easy bet to make.

“Too bad I didn’t know about Mylorah beforehand. I could have brought her along today to help you instead.” Azrin got to his feet, grinning as he continued to tease his young friend but then an idea struck him that would likely be harmless but amusing. “Oh, Ista Hold is hosting a party soon, your father should have the invitation if you’ve been blissfully unaware. You should bring Mylorah along as your plus one.”

Tazikel snorted. “You needn’t bother playing wingman for me ever, thank you,” he said contemptuously. As if he needed the help. More like he had women throwing themselves at him - look at Mylorah, even! She was the one who grabbed him to dance, after all.

He wrinkled his nose at the kiss on the forehead, only emphasizing the childish air, and pouted as some of the curls bounced into his face. “I was hoping to regain the sleep you’ve so rudely stolen from me, so the maids will have to hold that thought for a while.” It was a terrible response, but Tazikel had just woken up and felt he could be forgiven for not having the wittiest retorts yet. All he wanted to do was go back to sleep until a more reasonable time - no, an unreasonable time, Azrin had disrupted his sleep so he had to get extra now.

“You’ll have to bring her next time to make up for it, then,” Tazikel said loftily, already settling back down so he could go back to sleep. He paused, head not quite to his pillow as Azrin mentioned the party. Parties he actually paid attention to. Not because they were fun by design, but because they were easy enough to make fun with a little creativity. Explore the location, seduce someone for a tryst in a niche somewhere, insult some boring people, tiptoe on the edge of properly embarrassing his father, fun things. And having Mylorah there? Would be amazing. He could show her all the boring Lordly things, and then show her how to actually have a good time. Maybe he could even convince her to wear more than two layers, just for kicks (also because she’d look gorgeous in a gown).

“I’ll ask her,” he said, finally relaxing back into his bed. “Now shoo, or I won’t get my beauty sleep and how will I ever convince her to attend the party without that.”

Azrin laughed at the weak comeback and then shook his head at Tazikel needing his beauty sleep. "You're going to need more than a few hours of sleep before you qualify as anything closely resembling 'beauty', my friend." Truthfully, Azrin was more inclined to use the more feminine terms of 'pretty' or 'beautiful' to describe Tazikel instead of 'handsome' and he suspected it was the damn curls that did that. Having seen the younger lord with his hair slicked back and the curls hidden with wet hair, more masculine features emerged. Still, he was in a good mood from getting the information he wanted and had to continue teasing the sleepy man that was struggling to retaliate. Of course that was part of the reason for the early visit and Azrin was pleased it all worked out.

"Send me word if you succeed in getting her to attend with you and I'll personally see that your preferred room is prepared for your arrival as well." Azrin didn't wait for a response as he left the bedroom, still pleased the blue sire's existence was hidden and that he had the name of the girl to look into. Casa was likely friends with Mylorah and was worried about the association with a Lord. Was that due to her own experience with him or someone else? Wise of her either way since most lords saw other people as expendable--to varying degrees. He took that a bit further than others but Tazikel was as harmless as Jalazmar unless the girl was in love and then her heart was doomed.

As he made his way through the Hold, Azrin stopped by the kitchen and peeked his head in with a charming smile, "Good morning. I'm on my way out so don't worry about me but I do have a message from Lord Tazikel. He would like to take breakfast in his room today. Please have it brought up in twenty minutes." Twenty more minutes of sleep would make up for what was lost from the visit and Azrin grinned as he exited the Hold to explore the charming little area since Z'rin wasn't due to retrieve him for a few more hours. It was turning into quite the lovely day.
