“Oh. Oh,” at first the confession was only acknowledged but a few seconds later it completely sank in and R’vi’s eyes widened for a few reasons. Varlea had to be about two since their dragons just turned that age. It also meant that despite her being mated to, or at least living with, V’ler, they weren’t sleeping together. That fact alone shocked R’vi and he struggled to figure out what exactly that meant. He had so many questions about that relationship now like why they shared living quarters and why they let everyone think they were mated when they clearly weren’t. Then again, maybe V’ler just wasn’t into women and it was an arrangement of convenience for them both. He knew it was pointless to try and get any information out of his friend though given how much she valued her privacy.
“Aw, Di,” R’vi came up behind her, this time with purely kind intentions, as he wrapped his arms around her waist. He gently positioned them until they were looking at their dragons and rested his chin on her shoulder, standing quietly for a moment. He was the worst person to do this sort of level of seriousness and advice-giving and wished his brother was there to assist in the matter. But, if nothing else, he could try to offer her some comfort with the spooning hug he was giving.
“Maybe you are but I think Venseth just knows what you want and what you’re comfortable with.” He hesitated, wondering if he was going to help at all or earn himself a smack and his friend stomping off on him, likely taking the entire pie with her. “You both always instinctively want what’s best for the other. I don’t think he’ll mind any length of time you might want.”
Before he could stop and think about what he was saying, R’vi added, “I can always help ease you back into things as well.” A playful kiss was given to Indivara’s cheek before his chin was back to resting on her shoulder. He was teasing, flirting out of habit and a sign that he was still the fun-loving twin and didn’t find anything weird between them. He sometimes wondered if Indivara noticed at all that he was a bit weird around her for a while or that his flirting from the past had stopped for a time. Either way, he was willing to help her out whether it be giving weak advice or even in a sexual manner.
