A tremblingly wave washed over B'jin, the greenrider's shoulders prickling and he rolled his shoulders with a scowl, tapping papers together on his desk as the last of his weyrlings left the room and made their way off to occupy their day. They were growing very well, and B'jin was very proud of them. Soon, he would start their in-air wing lessons, but for now he was trying to get them to remember the simpler formations while they were in the ground. Some were doing better than others. He skin prickled again, and B'jin rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand, left hand occupied with a quill as he made a quick note on his teachers record. He was not looking forward to talking with S'kef about integrating his weyrlings into the main wings, and while he knew he could put it off for another couple of months, B'jin also knew it was something looming - unavoidable - in the future.

Flopping into his seat, B'jin pushed his notes aside and waved off one of his assistants as they dropped a pile of work on the corner of the desk before nodding and leaving. He wasn't in the mood for idle conversation with the ther greenrider, and missed the knowing look the man gave him. Grumbling under his breath, B'jin tugged the ties at his neck loose and then folded his hands together, elbows resting in the table, and rested his forehead against them. Where is R'nd? he could go for some decent company, and his tone to Larrikith was whinier and grumpier than he picked up on. Somewhere, the green dragon purred back, unfazed and B'jin grumbled more. He felt all hot and uncomfortable.

Standing up suddenly, the chair skidding on the flooring, B'jin strode towards the door, folding his shirt sleevs up to his elbows as he went, and then tugging the fold up above the joint. The loose ties at the neck line were tugged at absently as he slipped out the door and yanked it shut behind him. The building was exited, long since emptied by his class, and B'jin paused as he stepped out into the very slight breeze. It was hardly cool, but it felt as such on his clammy skin, and B'jin paused for several moments, face lifted into the breeze and eyes closed.

While he had been planning on heading over to take a bath, B'jin's plans changed, and he swung unexpectedly in the direction of the river, marching with swift steps down towards the water. It was the perfect weather for a swim, right? He felt Larrikith stir lazily in the back of his mind, and her  vague agreement. The indication that she'd join him was met with a placid feeling of pleasure, before the green dragon was winging over head, more shadow dropping to cover B'jin and shelter him from the evening sunshine. His shoulders prickled again, and he rolled them fluidly. A swim would fix that, too. He felt like there were a million little feet trampling all over his back.

B'jin stopped when he reached the edge if the river, vaguely realising that other people were present and he didn't want to share space with anyone. Larrikith circled over head, and he could feel her disappointment. B'jin wavered for a few moments before turning and walking down the embankment, and in the direction if the lake. They were a terribly long way from it, but the greenrider knew he could walk for a while, and end up being left alone. His left hand returned to tugging at the ties across his chest; he felt so hot and uncomfortable and the desire to splash into the water was almost overwhelming, but the desire to be away from everyone else was stronger.

He walked for quite a while, lost in a daze and occasionally tripping, sometime over nothing and sometimes over things that really were there. He was, however, entirety oblivious. He paused, once, long enough to tug the shirt off finally. Pulling it over the top of his head and dropping it, not even watching nor caring as it floated to the ground and he marched onwards without a backwards glance, leaving the clean white material to sit in the shrubbery. Now-bare shoulder rolled once again, the greenrider almost entirely unaware of any tugging caused by the healed scarring left there. Talian had, of course, done a masterful job and while B'jin's back looked like a faded mess, there was incredibly little deeper damage left permanently.

"Larrikith," B'jin purred his dragon's name huskily as he caught up with her finally, the dark mossy green dragon perched, muscles coiled tightly as she waited in a small cove beside the river for her rider. B'jin, oblivious as ever, completely missed the gentle glow the green had to her hide, or the purple-eske colours of lust glittering in her eyes. He reached his dragon in silence, pressing against her neck and burying his face in the soft green hide. The little green curled around him, wings extending slightly. The hiss of warning she released suddenly startled B'jin terribly, and he jumped, turning his body so he was still pressed into his dragon but so he could stare over at the other rider that had joined them.

Quiet brown eyes studied the other man, expression sultry but withdrawn. B'jin shifted, moving so he was standing beside Larrikirth's head, his left hand resting gently on her right cheek, fingers splayed and light. The dragon shifted her own stance, though her head never moved at all, so she was standing up. Her wings spread slightly, overshadowing B'jin as she poised to flee. Or fight. "This spot's taken," B'jin whispered, his voie thick with Larrikirth's impending lust, and brown eyes traveling over his unexpected companion without shame. "That's mine," he added, as brown eyes lifted from examining legs and crotch, to the shirt being held. His gaze lingered for a few moments, before finally rising slowly over stomach and chest to meet eyes.

D’hys enjoyed running around the Weyr, along the lakeshore, and even along the river on most any day but that day saw him lazily strolling through the forest. It was still exercise and he could explore the area, keeping an eye out for any edible berries he could use in a bread recipe his mother had taught him so long ago as well as watch the people milling around the river. B’jin’s grumpiness could be seen and felt across the Weyr, D’hys was sure of it, once he spotted the greenrider. B’jin was the most social of men, even with R’nd glued to his side, but D’hys could tell something was different that day, especially when the shirt was finally removed and tossed aside. With a snort of amusement, D’hys waited a moment and then snatched up the shirt, following silently behind B’jin.

“I know; it’s why I’m holding it and about to offer it to you,” really, some greenriders didn’t have two braincells to rub together. It was a wonder that so many survived for so long. Then again, one quick glance and it was obvious B’jin was proddy and his dragon was about to fly at any moment so even if the man had intelligence on the best of days, he was a lost cause in that moment. A flight with B’jin sounded like the perfect way to pass some time and rub R’nd’s nose in it as well. His fellow bluerider didn’t seem to be near and he would likely kick himself for days for not paying attention to when his mate’s dragon was due to rise. It was the perfect opportunity for some fun, though D’hys would have preferred to seduce the greenrider into bed while he wasn’t drunk on flight lust. Then again, there would be plenty of opportunities after he won to get B’jin alone again.

“Do you like what you see? You seem to be taking your time admiring everything,” D’hys spoke in a lazy drawl as he closed the gap between him and his prey. The shirt was held out as a peace offering to lull B’jin into a false sense of security. He was only an innocent bluerider kindly returning what was dropped; he certainly wasn’t trying to take advantage of the situation and win the flight before it really even got off the ground. She will rise soon. Zeianth stood not too far away, poised and ready to take off as soon as Larrikith did. He didn’t chase often but some were always too enticing to resist. Larrikith had settled down now and seemed content with Ayyonth and that alone piqued Zeianth’s interest enough to agree with D’hys that this was a flight they needed to enter and win. The green pair was a rare treat now and both D’hys and Zeianth wanted a taste.

B'jin's brown eyes lingered on D'hys, and his left shoulder rose in a very luckluster manner, the greenrider mumbling a non committed 'nyah,' as he slowly took the shirt in numb fingers. Larrikith hissed in warning, eyes a beautiful swirl of red and purple though B'jin looked less than distressed by the bluerider's close proximity. "Thank you." He voice was as vague as his expression as B'jin held the shirt lightly in one hand, then letting both arm and shirt drop down to his side after a few moments, the white material tangled between his fingers. He then returned to staring up at D'hys unblinkingly, expression very slowly taking on a hint of confused annoyance though it didn't show in his voice.

"This spot's taken." He repeated, his voice still very vague, and he tilted his head slightly to the left.  "Find another." The words came out far more like a dreamy murmur than the demand they were designed to be, but B'jin seemed completely oblivious to that, too, as he satared up at D'hys, clearly waiting for the bluerider to remove himself from the clearing B'jin had chosen to spend his evening swimming by. There were plenty of the similar little locations along the length of the river; the bluerider could find another one and leave B'jin to his, no?

With that clearly decided, and obviously of the opinion that D'hys would move along on his way now that he had his shirt and had dismissed him, the greenrider turned back to his dragon and slipped under her neck to seat himself on the other side - Larrikith continued to stare daringly at D'hys, lips drawn back to show her teeth. Sitting neatly on the soft ground, B'jin crossed his legs, folding his shirt in slow and deliberate motions before he set it down beside him. When that was done - and B'jin spent several moments staring vaguely at it, making sure it wasn't about to unfold itself - the greenrider shifted one leg so he could pluck at the laces holding his boots done up. When it was loose enough, he pulled the boot off, and then set it aside with his shirt, watching it flop slightly before tugging his sock off.

Bare toes were wriggled happily even a B'jin turnd his no-one-is-home attention upon the other boot, and began plucking at the laces on that one. "It's rude to stare." B'jin's voice came out of nowhere, and he shifted his attention from the boot he was in the process of unlacing still, to peer up at D'hys with wide eyes, though his brows were furrowed. Larrikith, not entirely convinced that D'hys was well meaning, ruffled her wings unhappily and shifted her position. Snarling maw was occasionally angled at the bluerider, but the moment her gaze was captured by Zeianth, D'hys was forgotten. The blue dragon was stared at without blinking, Larrikirth watching him, and clearly calculating. Her weight shifted, rocking back on her hind legs and her wings flared outwards a little, but she made no actual attempt to take off, just continued to stare at the larger dragon.

Unsurprisingly, D’hys made no attempt to leave the spot that B’jin seemed so intent on keeping to himself. It really wasn’t anything remarkable in his opinion, at least it wasn’t until a proddy greenrider stumbled into it. Now, it seemed like the perfect spot to spend a little extra time and he made a point of letting that be known to the dragon glaring him down by ignoring her existence. She was for Zeianth to watch; the vacant-eyed rider was his.

It was almost endearing watching the way B’jin folded his shirt and worked on removing his boots. The way greenriders operated on the best of days was amusing but seeing them all act differently before their dragon rose was even more entertaining and almost like a puzzle for the mind to work on. Was B’jin like this for days or since this morning? Did he get worse the closer to flying? D’hys supposed it definitely held an element of the latter given the way he also lost his mind to Zeianth when the blue gave chase. It was all about the dragon in that time and the riders were along for the ride and got to enjoy themselves afterward.

“Indeed it is but I can’t help myself in this case.” B’jin was currently a one man show and not even Larrikith’s teeth and snarling stole D’hys’ glance. He was being cautious not to provoke her too much but he wasn’t overly concerned with her either and had no intention of letting her know her riled feline routine was work; which it wasn’t. Zeianth was still at ease and watching the green closely so there wasn’t much to fear. “It’s a bit mean to put on a strip show and not expect a man to watch, you know.”

“Strip show?” B’jin looked up with a slight frown, setting his shoe aside and sliding his socks off. They were placed neatly inside the appropriate boots. The bluerider was eyed scandalously by B’jin, anything but impressed as his lips pursed. “I’m not interested in your strip show.” With that said, he turned back to his own tasks, pulling his legs in so he was sitting cross-legged and staring down towards the river, hands resting on either side of himself. He sat like that for several long moments, just staring vaguely, before he stood up fluidly.

D’hys was ignored as B’jin strode with quiet steps towards the edge of the river, apparently forgetting he was wearing pants still. He felt so hot and uncomfortable! The cool waters of the river were very desirable! A shiver travelled down his back, causing little hairs to rise, and B’jin paused long enough to roll his shoulders uncomfortably. In the pause, Larrikith shifted, snarling at Zeianth as her wings shifted, tail twitching just barely behind her, not quite lashing but certainly displaying her displeasure with the situation. There was a slight pause, and then she vanished.

B’jin turned to look at where Larrikith had been moments before, blinking, before his gaze turned upwards towards the sky and where she had suddenly appeared, a warm and vibrant green against the clear blue of the sky. B’jin watched silently as she turned and skimmed off towards the lake with a disgruntled rumble of anger. The rider blinked. “Larrikith?” His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, and B’jin shifted to look around the clearing, unsure what was going on, and ended up staring directly at D’hys’ chest. “Oh.”

Not interested in his strip show? D’hys didn’t buy that for a minute. Sure B’jin was completely enamoured with R’nd and thought he didn’t want anyone else but the greenrider had yet to see him naked or have an encounter with him. His tune would change soon enough and D’hys looked forward to it so he said nothing for the moment, choosing to continue standing quietly off to the side. B’jin was still a bit interesting to watch go through the motions of life with a clearly empty head but it was also growing a tad boring. Soon, Zeianth assured his bonded as D’hys stifled a yawn as he cast a quick glance over to Larrikith.

D’hys could feel Zeianth’s lust rising as surely as he could feel how antsy the icy beast was while waiting for Larrikith to make her move. They didn’t chase regularly, preferring a challenge but also one they were guaranteed to win. Given how secluded they were, it was an obvious win but Zeianth was still respecting the green and waiting for her to fly and start the chase. Where was the thrill of victory without the thrill of the build up first? As soon as the green vanished only to reappear in the sky, Zeianth gave a bellow as he accepted her challenge and took off to follow her on the path to the lake.

D’hys grinned and removed his shirt, tossing it to land near B’jin’s neatly folded one. “Indeed,” he replied as the greenrider finally clued in to what he had set himself up for. No other words were needed, only action. Zeianth would make it quick and they would both enjoy the outcome of it. One step and then another brought D’hys slowly towards his prey. B’jin may not have wanted to see his strip show but he was getting a small one now regardless as D’hys unbuckled his belt. Doing such small things now made for a smoother transition from participant to blissfully mindless winner and left far less damaged clothing; his own anyway.

As Zeianth followed the plump green with expert twists and drops, D’hys closed in on B’jin. When he stood right before the greenrider, his grin turned more animalistic as eyes darkened with lust but hands stayed at his sides. It’d be so easy to jump right in and take B’jin since they didn’t have any rival riders to deal with but D’hys was in a civil mood and allowed the greenrider that one small courtesy. B’jin was in for an amazing yet rough ride as it was; he didn’t need a sneak peek.

Larrikith shrieked, her voice high pitched and filled with fury and rage at the blue dragon chasing her as she zipped through the sky. It was, at the end of it all, the wrong blue and she knew that, but Larrikith was in no mood to call Ayyonth to her when her blasted mate should already be there! If he couldn’t find the time to be present when he was supposed to be, than she couldn’t find the energy required to call him to her! The lack of competition for her hide was neither acknowledged nor ignored, as Larrikith angled up to fly through the clouds. Very few dragons chose to chase her any more, and were any close enough to see her, they would see the chasing blue and write it off as Ayyonth, despite the lack of similarity in colours between the two males.

“No!” B’jin’s voice came out clipped and he took a stumbling step backwards and away from D’hys as the bluerider came towards him, brown eyes widening as the shirt was tossed aside, glancing around for an escape route. He did not want! Where was R’nd? R’nd always flew with him now! Why wasn’t Ayyonth in the sky giving chase to Larrikith? No one ever bothered chasing them any more, not when Ayyonth was in the sky with his green. She was supposed to be caught by Ayyonth, and only Ayyonth and why wasn’t he there? B’jin glanced around desperately again, clearly hoping R’nd would miraculously appear out of the surrounding scenery to leap in and save him from the approaching D’hys.

B’jin shrank back as D’hys came to a standstill, watching in terror as his features were overtaken by dragon lust, and B’jin shuddered fearfully; he hated the way they changed, the way they became something else when their dragon took control, and the way B’jin knew he became nothing more than a means to an end. Larrikith shrieked in the sky above, and B’jin trembled before releasing his hold against her, and diving headfirst into her lust. He did not want to know, he didn’t want to know any of it. Better to be lost in the grips of his dragon’s desires than have any conscious knowledge of what D’hys was doing to his body.

Brown eyes darkened with dragon lust, B’jin’s chin rose so he could look up at D’hys smugly, clearly as one with Larrikith as he sidestepped the other rider teasingly, one hand lifting to brush along the side of D’hys’ arm in a manner similar to the way Larrikith doubled back, dropping to brush her wing down the side of Zeianth’s own before she turned again and zipped off in another location, leading a game of cat and mouse. What fun was taking to the skies, if there were no games played while they were up there? B’jin grinned coyly as Larrikith gave a chirp, and pushed up to vanish into a stray cloud; she reappeared out of it at an odd location, before dropping into a dive towards the ground, brushing close to Zeianth though whether by design or accident was left unanswered.

Their preferred flights to enter guaranteed a decent challenge and a win. It didn’t always work out that way but in that moment when Larrikith tried to hide in a cloud and throw Zeianth off, the blue pair knew they had both parts locked down. Larrikith’s flights were always interesting with the way she flew and their location proved they could take their time in the chase if they desired it and Zeianth would win it. The glaring fact that R’nd wasn’t around – again; it seemed someone wasn’t good at keeping a schedule – made D’hys grin. The adored bluerider would be frustrated at not being in the flight and annoyed that not only did someone else win but it was someone he always eyed sideways. D’hys loved that R’nd knew something was wrong but couldn’t figure out; simply mistrusting him on not having enough facts.

There would be gossip and a pouting bluerider and D’hys couldn’t wait. If he could secure B’jin’s interest in him as well, it’d be icing on the already sweet cake. Breaking up mates was a fun challenge worthy of his time, just like fooling gullible and naïve greenriders was.

D’hys shivered under B’jin’s delicate touch and started circling the greenrider without touching him. Zeianth was doing his own version of the move in the sky as he dropped down to follow Larrikith’s path, letting her know he was still there and within reach with a bellow. He wouldn’t catch her yet though; they were too low and he wanted his time with the green. They would find each other high up in the clouds and fall to the ground entwined at his preferred height and pace. Zeianth had little interest in mating with the green, just like D’hys couldn’t care less about keeping B’jin but a game was a game because it was to be enjoyed for as long as possible.

Their dance did take them higher but it also took them closer to the lake where a screech of anger nearly shook Zeianth from his task. Apparently Ayyonth had been sunning at the beach and only just realized what his mate was up to. It was too late, however, as the focused icy-hide dragon closed the gap with the spurt of energy he had been saving to claim victory with and finally reached for and tangled with the glowing green that currently intrigued Zeianth more than any other.

On the ground, D’hys claimed his prey by grabbing B’jin from behind thanks to his circling of the man and tossing him to the ground. Everything else around them on the ground and in the sky was forgotten as D’hys was completely lost to the victory.

**Fun times go here**

When D’hys had his mind to himself once again, he found himself lying on his stomach and partially atop another man to pin him down. It wasn’t a foreign sight to him as he woke that way regularly. It ensured his prizes and toys didn’t wander off before their time together was truly over. Who was he with again? A glimpse to the face showed B’jin and D’hys nearly laughed as he remembered the build up to the flight and how upset R’nd would be. That enjoyment could wait for later when he was with Z’ia to retell the tale. For now, D’hys needed to figure out what to do with B’jin. Take more of what he wanted or play the nice bluerider that showed concern and built up the trust needed for more encounters of a similar nature in the future?

For now, he settled with mind-fucking the greenrider. “Wakey, wakey, sleepyhead.” D’hys whispered softly against B’jin’s ear, hoping to mimic the man’s mate well enough to be believed he actually was R’nd.

Ayyonth's screech of anger did not go ignored, though the answering screech from Larrikith was fuelled by a mangling of anger and outrage that he had dared deny her, followed by a hiss of fury as Zeianth made his move, the green dragon snapping at his face with a hiss before she relented to hhis grasp, settling into the flight with little more than her usual spunky attitude. Ayyonth was given no more thought, the randy green dismissing him from her thoughts as easily as Zeianth directed their fall.

B'jin gave an angry hiss as he was grabbed from behind by D'hys, swinging his left arm around viciously in a blind attack on his attacker, a movement that was very similar to the snapping attack Larrikith had launched upon Zeianth, before settling into the blue's grasp; B'jin kicked out viciously as he was thrown to the ground, his unseeing aim angled more at D'hys' ankles than anywhere else, before more placidly giving in to the bluerider's win, his touch light and agreeable... mostly.

** lalala **

He was lazy about waking up, now. The familiar sensation that a flight left lingering on the edge of his mind, and the lazy aches in over worked msucles was something that had become familiarly accompanied by R'nd's presence, and there hadn't been much need to flee after a flight for quite some time. Perhaps more time than B'jin was quite prepared to add up and figure out; it wasn't a bad thing, it was just an amount of time that B'jin wasn't quite ready to acknowledge, if only because he was terrified of frightening off R'nd with such information.

Unfortunatley, the way his own body and that of his partner were sprawled was all wrong, and B'jin indrew a sharp breath, struggling with sudden viciousness as he realised he was being pinned down, brown eyes snapping open and wide with terror. One arm was pinned, but the other - his right - came up and gave D'hys a heavy shove, clawing at the bluerider he neither heard the words nor saw the face atop him as he fought to free himself. His breaths came in very short, sudden gasps as he let the claustraphobia wash over him far more effectively than he would otherwise have if he wasn't still struggling to gain complete control of himself post-flight.

The moment D'hys had shifted enough for him to do so, B'jin was skuttling backwards several feet, drawing his knees up and staring at D'hys blankly as he tried to regain control of his breathing, one shaking hand raising to wipe at his face, smearing dirt across his wet cheeks. As his frantic breathing slowed, and reality came trudging back, B'jin breathed through his nose, and continued to stare at D'hys, waiting for a reaction.

D’hys hadn’t anticipated B’jin to react so violently. He had no idea that pinning the greenrider as he had would provoke the man like R’nd would have known so any effort to play up being the pansy bluerider was instantly lost. It didn’t seem like B’jin had heard the words that had been spoken regardless, whether it was due to his tantrum or something else entirely. All D’hys knew with certainty was the way a hand shoved at him and nails raked at his skin. He hissed, more from the shock than any true pain and pulled away to allow for the desired escape.

Grey eyes examined the area where a daring hand had just been and light red welts from the nails remained. They didn’t bother him, not when other areas were starting to protest with his movement. Apparently B’jin was a feisty one in flight lust. That was intriguing and made for idle ponderings about whether or not B’jin was the same way on a normal day. Was that why such a playful bluerider like R’nd had settled in with a somewhat boring greenrider for so long? There had to be some sort of reason and sex was the only one D’hys could come up with given his experiences with V’zire. Now that was a dull greenrider!

“Haven’t you learned by now that it’s not wise to provoke some blueriders?” D’hys glanced up from his examination of his body to eye up B’jin. He was already showing signs of bruises in multiple locations and a run of his tongue over his lip revealed the bastard was a biter as well or clipped him with those nails of his. Given he had flown A’liran before and met with that particularly wild greenrider multiple times in the past, D’hys was used to being a bit roughed up after sex but it was always a surprise when it happened given his physical prowess.

It would have been so easy to remind B’jin of his strength as well in that moment. Slowly stalk towards his frightened and blubbering prey without a care and snatch him up once more. Yet D’hys was still torn between which game to play.

Regaining his senses, and seeing D'hys sitting there, staring at him, was blood chilling enough for B'jin. Previously, the greenrider had never paid much attention to D'hys. He was a bluerider, and he was someone that seemed content to hang around with his own colour mates. B'jin had heard odd tidbits and rumours about him over the years, but he had neither cared about D'hys or about what was spoken of him. He had always been one of those random entity blueriders; someone that was there, but not someone one knew anything about. Until he started spending time with R'nd.

His not-mate did not trust D'hys and while B'jin's confused and curious questions had never gotten an answer out of the just as bemused bluerider, B'jin had opted to trust R'nd's opinion on the matter. Clearly, he was missing something and D'hys was not someone he ever wanted to be around. The few times he had bene forced to interact with the bluerider - such as nights I'shan invited R'nd out and he had been dragged along (or occassionally invited, too) - B'jin hadn't really seen any reason to distrust D'hys, but nor had he ever felt inclined to trust him. He trusted R'nd, in the end, and R'nd didn't trust his fellow bluerider and that was good enough for B'jin.

Returning to himself after a flight, and finding D'hys sitting there as casually as can be and just as butt naked, was removing B'jin's ability to stop trembling. Having been trapped by him, and unable to escape was not helping, and the little hairs rose up at the thought, and B'jin inched back a little more. He did, however, freeze almost comically when D'hys spoke, brown eyes widening so much they could probably have popped out of his head if someone had slapped him on the back of it. B'jin stared at D'hys, barely even breathing as he processed what had been said.

"Apparently not." B'jin spoke calmly, and if D'hys hadn't been looking at him he probably wouldn't have known the greenrider was trembling from head to foot, eyes still slightly wild as he searched the bluerider's face, wondering what punishment he'd just signed himself up for. The harper had never been one to master his own phsyical reactions, and his face was as easy to read as a well written book to an educated fellow. His voice, however, was his own domain and while B'jin was clearly terrified, his voice would never betray him, not like that.

He had told A’liran after their first flight together that he owned the greenrider until the next flight. It was tempting to point that out to B’jin as well but D’hys refrained. A’liran had argued it, naturally, but D’hys could tell he was secretly thrilled by such ownership. B’jin, however, wouldn’t be as keen to be labelled like that by anyone other than R’nd. Even that would possibly irritate the greenrider that thought he was free and independent and no doubt R’nd never thought about a true ownership of B’jin either despite their mated status and belonging to each other. They were such an odd couple! It was because of that fact and how ridiculously caught up in each other they were without even realising it that D’hys decided playing nice now was better in the long run for messing with their relationship.

Despite enjoying his time in the jungle, it could get a bit boring at times. A man had to entertain himself somehow.

“Luckily, I’m not one of those blueriders,” at least, he wasn’t for the time being. “I apologise for pinning you like that. You had every right to react as you did without knowing what was going on.” It was a good thing B’jin hadn’t swung with all his might at his face or D’hys’ reaction to the entire situation would have been vastly different. Sometimes a little fight in his lover was fun foreplay but he didn’t enjoy a full on battle in between rounds. He wasn’t J’ver and S’kef. Now that was another odd couple.

Going along with his nice guy routine, D’hys scanned the area for a piece of clothing to give to B’jin. Just because the man had neatly folded his shirt before the flight didn’t mean it was left that way or where it had been set. Almost surprisingly, he did see it still somewhat folded but it was further away than the pair of pants D’hys grabbed as he stood up. Making sure he didn’t spook B’jin with any sudden movement, he approached the greenrider and held it out for him. “Here. I’ll find the rest of your clothing while you put those on.” From what he had heard, and even seen before a certain graduation performance, B’jin was a modest man and the trembling was no doubt due to fear and being exposed.

D’hys was the exact opposite of that and walked around their little patch of the forest in the nude to find all the articles of clothing that belonged to the greenrider. He liked being on display and while he didn’t purposely strut around the Weyr without even a shirt without good reason since he knew he was hot and didn’t have to parade himself to get the point across, it was still nice to have his lover admire him and crave another touch.

B'jin wasn't someone to easily trust, and he wasn't keen on trusting someone that one of his closest friends had made a scene about not trusting. As a result, B'jin was naturally inclined to eye D'hys with both distrust and fear as the bluerider picked himself up. The greenrider's reluctance to take the other man at his word was clear in the way he leaned back just slightly and narrowed his eyes at D'hys, wondering what game he was playing with such words and, more importantly, how it would affect him in the moments that were approaching.

D'hys' approach caused a widening of B'jin's eyes, and a pursing of his lips when he realised the bluerider now had his poor pants in possession. Larrikith? The poor greenrider was on the verge of tears, and it was clear in his mental voice as he shrank away from D'hys in terror. The outstretched pants were eyed for several long moments before B'jin finally extended one hand very timidly and took the pants with trembling fingers. He waited pointedly for D'hys to turn away and start scouring the clearing before B'jin practically dove into his pants, jerking them on with a grimace and doing the ties up with a bit of a frown, pursing his lips irritibly at a damaged tie that made it more difficult than it should have been.

"Thank you," B'jin murmured softly as he accepted the shirt the bluerider handed him when he returned, brown eyes frowning up at the taller man as he bundled the shirt in his fingers, and clutched it to his chest almost childishly in an attempt to stay hidden until he was given the opportunity to tug that on, too. B'jin wasn't generally worried about a lack of shirt, though the locations he usually went without such were at R'nd's or at the beach, he was feeling particularly vulnerable after Larrikith's flight and not at all keen to have D'hys mistake laziness for an invitation.

"I-I should g-go." He wrung the shirt anxiously between his fingers as he stepped backwards a few steps. He didn't want to flee wihtout permission, for fear D'hys' mood would change and he'd decide that punishing him for being bad would be a good idea, but he also really didn't want the bluerider to mistake any of his hesitancy for a desire for him. The greenrider stumbled back another step, glancing towards the Weyr; he needed a bath, so badly, and he wanted R'nd. R'nd made everything better!

It was almost adorable how B’jin acted like a shy virgin girl around him. He supposed he could see the appeal for R’nd since that bluerider had been rumoured to pop quite a few cherries around the Weyr. He seemed drawn to such behaviour. There were benefits in that since the virgin could be trained up but D’hys preferred his lovers to already know what they were doing since his encounters were a bit more random and in creative places. Going by the little he remembered from the flight, B’jin somehow fit into both categories. What a fascinating man!

A friendly smile was given in return for the gratitude and D’hys turned away again to toss on his own clothing. It was a little annoying that B’jin barely seemed to notice his body and there definitely wasn’t even a hint of lust in those brown eyes. The greenrider was completely wrapped up in the bluerider he had snagged but that just meant working B’jin over and getting him into bed more willingly down the line would be even more entertaining and rewarding.

Once his pants were on and shirt grabbed, D’hys turned back to his prize that he sadly wouldn’t claim again like he would with some of the other greenriders Zeianth won for him. “I’m going to pretend you’re hesitant to leave my company because you enjoy it, and that you’re not afraid of me.” A little pout was given to give the illusion he was sad over their quick departure despite how amused he was at how B’jin acted. He had an act to keep up, after all! “You can go on ahead back to the Weyr or to Larrikith whenever. I left something back at the part of the river I was hanging out at.”

D’hys took a few small steps back himself so B’jin wouldn’t think he was about to be grabbed again if he took a single step forward. “I’ll,” he almost said ‘catch’ but stopped before the word came out in case it spooked the man by thinking it was a literal expression, “see you around, B’jin.” A little wave was given and D’hys turned to walk back in the direction he had come. He hadn’t actually left anything at the river since he had simply been sitting under a tree while Zeianth enjoyed a drink and a little splashing to cool off but B’jin didn’t need to know that. He only needed to know he wasn’t going to be followed and jumped after a few paces.

B’jin was going to be another fun toy to play with.
