Ravana was freshly pink from scrubbing her hair still wet and her clothes still damp, having opted to spend Krypth's flight freezing/bathing in the lake and kicking herself for not having the nerve to seduce B'run, even with the aid of dragonlust.  The greenrider was finally slinking to the dining hall late in the evening, figuring most of those affected would be with someone and there would be no danger of her being grabbed by a randy rider with ideas.

She loaded her plate, mentally checking on Shanith and smiling when she felt the green asleep, her breathing easing as she'd rested.  She'd spent the entire flight chasing first Stubborn, then fish and other lizards, then Stubborn again around the lake until she had been unable to breathe without coughing.  Ravana had let her as part of the work she was doing to bring her green's stamina up.  After that, she'd encouraged the green to go sleep on the roof of the dining hall.  Stubborn had joined her, the tiny gold exhausted from helping wear the green out.

Ravana would have to stuff her with treats later as a thank you, but the green rider didn't mind that.  It was worth it to not have to worry about Shanith causing trouble.  Ravana looked over her tray, seeing a pudgy pie of wherry meat and vegetables, some chunks of cheese, and a redfruit.  She added a meatroll, and a small salad, then a chilled juice, carrying dinner over to a table that was fairly isolated.  She was cold, tired and very very hungry.

She started eating quietly, wondering a moment why people were staring at her, then dismissing it.  It wasn't her they were staring at, surely, it just felt like it.  She hadn't done anything attention getting lately.  She'd been keeping herself to herself, actively working at flying under the radar in the probably misguided hope that S'kef would forget she existed.  Except if they weren't staring at her, what were they looking at.  There wasn't anything interesting over here, was there?

D’hys hadn’t been at all surprised when Krypth took to the skies again. The golden whore rose more often than even Grith! After the maiden flight that was almost won, both D’hys and Zeianth had lost interest in the gold dragon and even her flightlust didn’t bother them all that much. They still enjoyed themselves with someone handy that was nearby and tolerable in bed since there wasn’t a need to waste a good opportunity to join in on the fun happening around the Wey.

Once all was said and done, D’hys found himself wandering through the Gather Square to enjoy the cooling temperature of the approaching evening and help shake off the remnants of the lust. He hadn’t heard who won the flight and didn’t really care since by this point, one winner was like the next. Hopefully she’d never be queen or they’d have a new Weyrleader every few months! His ponderings were interrupted when a group of people were spotted near the bulletin board. Likely, someone had put up a new wing practice but twice before there had been an interesting story pinned up for all to see and D’hys had enjoyed both quite a bit.

As he approached, the conversation seemed to die down and some looks were tossed his way before pats on the back and words of approval were given. With one eyebrow cocked in confusion, D’hys pushed through the group and read what was posted. A smirk started at the first paragraph and he was laughing by the end. “Brilliant! And mine to keep now.” The paper was carefully taken down and rolled up. D’hys didn’t care how many people read it – so long as darling V’zire didn’t believe it was true – but he knew Ravana hadn’t seen it yet since it was still up in one piece. That meant he had to show her and earn some points!

Given the hour and the activities of the day, D’hys changed his plans of heading home to go to the Dining Hall where he was likely to find a hungry greenrider. His assumption was proved right after scanning the Hall to find her sitting alone and in a rather empty area. Forgoing food of his own, D’hys meandered over to his prey, much to the enjoyment of those that spotted him and figured out where he was going. He wasn’t about to put on a show for the onlookers but they were more than welcomed to enjoy what did happen.

Ravana was lightly bopped on the head with the rolled parchment, “Ravana,” D’hys purposely purred the name since he apparently did that in the story. She wouldn’t know why he was just yet but it didn’t matter. Besides, her name was oddly very purrable and he made a note to do it more often just to mess with her head. “How was your day? Do anything exciting?” D’hys asked innocent questions as he claimed the spot beside her, making it obvious he was going to hang around for a bit.

There was a light bop to her head and Ravana looked up, then to her side, tipping her head at how D'hys spoke her name.  "Evening.  What's wrong with your voice?"

She folded her arms, looking at him.  He had a look to him, that was vaguely familiar.  Where had she seen it before?  She answered the question to buy her time.  "I spent the day tiring out Shanith out by the lake.  She had a ball chasing firelizards and now she's sleeping it off."  Ravana placed his look then and spoke softly.  "You look like Shanith when she's planning something and hoping I'll buy the innocent act."  She hmmed.  "And since you're suddenly sitting by me, I assume it's something to do with me."

Ravana turned to face D'hys, eyes sharpening as she looked at him.  The green rider felt Shanith wake up, the green stretching, then saying to Zeianth, Hi!  I spent the day playing out on the lake 'cause Ravana needed to go take a cold bath while Krypth flew!  Ravana heard, winced and debated for a moment murdering her green.  Sensing her sudden change in mood, Stubborn came to check on her, the gold swooping down from between then winking out once she saw D'hys.  She knew she was supposed to stay away when D'hys and B'jin were near.  Ravana didn't want them uncomfortable.

She offered a hesitant smile, and after a moment, her meatroll to D'hys.  "Sorry.  I hate gold flights, so tend to spend the day out at the lake when one of them's in the sky.  Do I want to know how you spent your day?"  She softened her words, knowing they came out tart, with a smile, even brushing fingers over his forearm in apology for her spiking moods.

“Come now, Ravana, you know I’m anything but innocent,” all the same, D’hys gave her a sweet smile to play up the act. “I’m not allowed to come find one of my favourite people to chat with without a reason?” He always had a reason for everything he did and said when it came to other people outside of his circle and Ravana likely knew it but it didn’t stop D’hys from saying such things anyway. When Stubborn appeared, his casual air and relaxed posture stiffened as blue eyes narrowed in on the firelizard. Thankfully, the creature vanished as quickly as she came. If nothing else could be said about Ravana, she could a least train a firelizard to behave.

It wasn’t at all surprising to hear the green pair had fled the flight nor was it surprising to hear Shanith had played all day and still sounded like she had enough energy to fight an entire Threadfall. He left those comments unsaid, however, since he did have a soft spot for the girl and wasn’t in the mood to insult her. She may need another cold bath shortly, Zeianth replied vaguely, not wanting to give away the game just yet. To ensure Shanith didn’t ruin anything either, the icy blue brought her in on it, but only enough to keep her quiet and interested. D’hys is going to show your rider something interesting. It should make for a fun result.

D’hys smirked and quirked a brow as Ravana questioned what he did and the way she touched his arm. Their spectators would be eating it all up if word of the story had reached them. “The day played host to an excellent workout.” The offered meatroll was plucked up and munched on as he gave the greenrider a moment to mull over what he had said and was about to add, “you should find me for the next one and I’ll show you new ways to pass the time.” That would never happen unless they were already in a room together with no way out considering Ravana had a mate of some sort and hadn’t even spent it with him. Unless the man had some sense about him and ditched her to try for the taste of gold. It was an understandable reaction; Zeianth and he had even given it a go once before.

He had thought to wait a little longer to let Ravana sweat it out and wonder about why he was mingling with her in public but D’hys heard Zeianth mentioning what he was up to and didn’t want Shanith to risk babbling about it and giving Ravana a heads up. “Here,” D’hys decided build up wasn’t needed as he offered the rolled parchment to Ravana. Nothing he could say would prepare her for what was written within and he rather liked the idea of her going in blind, unsure of what to expect. He hadn’t expected to see someone’s fantasy about the two of them when he approached the board so it was fair game.

Ravana couldn't help but offer him a smile at his words about him not being innocent.  She supposed it was part of that whole roguish charm thing the blue rider had going on.  In a way he made her think of a friend she'd had in the harper hall, a man that could charm the leaves off the trees when he wanted but he'd had the bad boy act down pat.  Problem was, with D'hys she wasn't sure the bad boy act was an act.

It meant she handled him with the same care she used with her stone working tools.  They could chip through flesh and bone as easily as they could stone, after all.  It was a sign of her state of mind that she forgot they were being watched for a moment and let her hand linger on his arm.

Shanith listened and wriggled excitedly.  Oh?  I can't wait for her to see it.  The dragon crossed to Zeianth, nosing him gently in a friendly gesture then sitting down, her breath still very slightly laboured, though by now D'hys knew about the issues the green had with stamina.

Ravana listened, leaning forward, and paying attention.  His words had her quirking a smile and shaking her head, though amusement showed in her eyes.  When he handed her the scroll, though, she looked at him for a long moment before opening it.

As she read it she would both pale and blush.  It created an interesting effect and he would feel her shake a moment.  She read it once through, then set it down to stare out the window.  Oddly, fear and embarrassment warred with amusement.

To buy herself time to sort out her thoughts, Ravana asked gently, adding a hint of censure to her tone.  "So...why'd you write it?"  She knew full well he didn't, something told her that he would have picked someone else to write out the fantasy about, and she suspected he would have written it better.

Shanith tilted her head.  She's torn between shredding it and correcting it and reposting it.  Once a harper...  The green lifted her head.  And you should know she knows yours didn't write it.  She thinks he'd have done a better job.  The green shifted a bit, waiting for her rider to decide what she felt.

Ravana read it again, this time paying more attention to the wording than what it was about.  She rolled it back up tapping it on the table in thought.  Someone knew both of them well.  She didn't sleep with anyone outside of flights, but a previous flight winner would know she was a lousy bed partner and had a certain eager to please streak in the bedroom.  That could be guessing though, as she did fit parts of the greenrider stereotype.

More importantly someone seemed to know D'hys well too, and seemed to be no fan of both of them.  Hadn't there been something similar posted about others.  She needed to visit Pa'ra soon or ask R'nya. Either would know who else had been featured in the notes.  She hmmed, and tapped the paper, forgetting that she was supposed to be accusing him of writing the damn thing, thinking out loud.  "Someone's good at guessing, or knows us very well.  Just as clearly they've an axe to grind.  Do I need to do anything to help reassure V'zire you haven't slept with me?"

On the walk to the Dining Hall, D’hys had played out multiple scenarios as to how Ravana would react. While he assumed she would blame him, he hadn’t counted on her blending several reactions into one shot. The paling and blushing routine she had going on was rather impressive and D’hys almost commented on that but instead grinned at the half-hearted accusation. “No need to write what is far more enjoyable to act out.” He doubted she heard him with the way she stared out the window and seemed lost in her thoughts. Still, he much preferred action over words, especially since he wasn’t that good with the written word.

Zeianth responded to the nosing by dipping his head in greeting with eyes swirling a content blue. He came off as cold as his hide looked but he was still friendly to those that he liked and Shanith was sweet in her own way. Her need of them also helped play on Zeianth’s desire to look after someone. Aveleth had a backbone – he had to in order to put up with Z’ia – but he was still far too naïve and timid and needed a stronger dragon to lean on at times and Zeianth liked being that steady rock.

D’hys will be pleased to hear she thinks so, Zeianth replied without giving away any hint about how D’hys really was with writing. He could read and he could write but his writing wasn’t nearly as skilled as his vocabulary. He’d always been better with numbers thanks to his mother teaching him how to cook and read recipes. It was another reason why he was so good with coming up with odds and arranging betting pools. Numbers were far more natural to the bluerider than tossing letters together and calling them fancy words.

Since Ravana was preoccupied and probably not as hungry as she had been, D’hys helped himself to another bite of food from her plate. He really wanted to see more of a reaction out of the greenrider or it simply wouldn’t be fun. When Ravana started thinking out loud, D’hys’ grin returned. Finally, something to play with! “We both do stand out, Ravana. It’s no secret I lend you a hand at times either. Only logical that would want to thank me in a manner I find fun.” While Ravana was clearly portrayed in an unfavourable light, D’hys didn’t mind how he came across. He didn’t like that his hatred of kissing was so prominent given how hard he had to work to make his kisses believable with V’zire but otherwise, he came out looking amazing by having a woman and greenrider begging him for sex and using her as he pleased.

“Nothing to fear there, babe. V’zire will believe me when I tell him we haven’t had sex and someone is just bored. I could always tell him we had a fling before he warmed my icy heart and someone wanted to stir up trouble.” D’hys quirked his brows suggestively and waited to see what that thought provoked in the woman. Personally, he’d rather make the story true by playing it out in present time instead of pretending it was a thing in the past.

Shanith liked Zeianth.  The cool blue had his own style and she felt a bit of humor to him at times, though she would never tell him that.  She replied softly I am glad.  She paused then told him, Humans should fly like dragons do.  There wouldn't be as much headaches for mine over sex then.  She would fly and whoever catches her has her and both would be happy and snuggle and she wouldn't have to worry about it until she flies again.  She curled against the larger blue, tail flicking to swat at a fly.

Ravana blushed at his words.  She couldn't help it and while part of her did wonder what it would be like to give in to his advances, just once, she suspected that despite his involvement with Jisralna, B'run would object.

She wouldn't give anyone a wedge to drive between them for what would be only a one time thing.  D'hys would only want her once, she knew she was a lousy lay.  He only seemed to want her becasue he didn't!  She reached for her beads absently drawing her fingers over them, using the count to steady her thoughts which were beginning to skip as panic eroded the other reactions.

She skipped over his words about her thanking him, and nodded when he spoke of his green rider.  She was shaking still, trying her damndest to hide that, knowing they had an audience.  V'zire would believe him.  She doubted B'run would believe her when she denied it.  She held in her hands what could possibly end the tentative something they ahd between them.

"I am glad he'll believe you."  She spoke softly, the words strangling in her chest and feeling the bands around her chest tighten as panic started to win out over her other feelings, stood and said tightly, "I need to go now.  I'm sorry."  She rolled to her feet, and walked out.  She would be damned if she had a panic attack in public.

She darted around the corner, not recognizing Zeianth, and felt her dragon steady her with a nuzzle, draping a wing partially over Ravana so she could hide.  It was there next to her green that the green rider dropped to her knees, closing her eyes and doing her best to ride out the panic.

There were days that pulling up stakes and disappearing into the jungle with her green sounded better and better.  She ignored the thought and concentrated on her breathing, breathing to a ten count.  Beads clicked until the bands loosened enough for her breathe normally and Ravana leaned on Shanith.

Coward.  She'd run away.  She'd never run from D'hys before, made a habit of trying to stand her ground with people no matter what it cost her.  And today she'd run from him and from the prying eyes.

Shanith reached for Zeianth, nuzzling the icy blue softly.  She didn't know what to say.

That would indeed change things up. I think a lot of people, D’hys included, wouldn’t like that method of fulfilling their needs though. Zeianth could see how Shanith’s idea would benefit some people but it wouldn’t work for everyone. He still humoured her and agreed, letting her babble about it if she so desired as they curled up on the grass waiting for their riders to figure things out.

D’hys didn’t pay Ravana any extra attention as she excused herself and fled the Hall. He simply plucked up another bite of food and casually popped it into his mouth. He was going to go after her, there was no doubting that but he’d give her a moment to think she was free and could relax or stress all the more over the silly story. Her reactions thus far had been amusing but he wasn’t done using it to his advantage, though even D’hys couldn’t say exactly what he could gain from it just yet. His mind was still a little groggy from the gold flight and it was an interesting situation he hadn’t exactly been caught up in before either.

When a fellow bluerider started to come towards him, likely to ask about the tale and get details, D’hys sent him away with a casual flick of a hand. He didn’t have time for bragging or explaining since he had a greenrider to further seduce into his clutches. It didn’t matter if she never slept with him since she’d still be grateful for his friendship and help spread the word that he was a kind soul when he was actually out having fun and getting into mischief. Unless, of course, Ravana did want to throw herself at him, then he wasn’t about to object. Her ‘boring brownrider’ probably would though; and wasn’t he actually a bronzerider? D’hys smirked as he got to his feet. The mystery writer either didn’t like a lot of people or was a bit scatter brained when it came to putting words to paper.

Ignoring the random comments, D’hys left the Hall and didn’t have far to go in order to find Ravana. Zeianth had mentioned they were all just outside but the bluerider hadn’t expected it to be almost literal to the point he would have tripped over the woman if he had been one of the ditzy dreamers prancing around the Weyr. “Ravana,” he once again purred the name since he couldn’t help but play on a bit of the story despite trying to win points with her. Although it could help his point as well. “You’ll only give them more fuel for the gossip and make them believe the story is true if you react so violently.”

Crouching down, D’hys waited until Ravana looked at him and offered her a far kinder smile than the mischievous smirks and playful grins he had been wearing before. “While I don’t mind the gossiping or the idea of sleeping with you, if we laugh at it and go on as normal, everyone else will as well and they’ll forget about your intriguing ways of thanking me.”

Her name was being...What was the word.  Shanith put in, too helpfully, purred.  The brought up the idea of D'hys as a feline, and predictably, sent her into hysterical laughter.  He'd have made a good one.  Occasionally cuddly, but very much the predator.

She pulled her laughter under control when Shanith started looking at her like she'd grown a second head, reaching up to pat the dragon.  "I'm fine."

Liar.

Ravana shook her head, making a note to find something relaxing to do soon.  Hysterics weren't fun to deal with, for the one having them or the unfortunate soul having to deal with them.  "In my own defense, I do know the theory.  I just couldn't...be stared at anymore, knowing they'll all believe it and word'll get back to B'run and he'll believe it...and..."

She was working herself up again and cut herself up at the pass with a jerk.  She hesitated then let herself respond to the kindness in his smile, taking his hand in both of hers for a moment.  "You're right.  I should laugh this off."  She offered him a smile.  "I've more important things to worry about, like the ongoing hell that is wing practice."

Shanith nuzzled her and she gently nudged her green's nose out of her face.  "Sorry, I'm a little tightly wound these days."  She offered him a crooked smile that barely touched her eyes.

She bit her lip then asked, "D'hys?  I..."  She thought better of asking him what she'd been about to ask him, and asked instead, briskly, "What do I owe you for the heads up about the parchment?"  Better to ask now than leave it until later.  She did try and square things off with him as much as she could, though suspected he was amassing quite the collection of her oils.  At least she was good at making those.  She seemed to stink at everything else.

The laughter wasn’t something he had expected and D’hys stared at her quizzically. I believe she’s finally cracked. D’hys was leaning towards that thought as well but he suspected the spirited green dragon had said something to put a new spin on the situation and it made for quite the spectacle, especially when she grabbed his hand. D’hys eyed their hands for a moment but didn’t jerk away. It showed a new level of trust given the way Ravana twitched under his touch when he applied cream to her wounds and he was willing to put up with it for his own gain.

“It’s because we’re friends that I say this. If he doesn’t believe you then that’s not a relationship worth having and he’s likely hiding something himself.” It was almost too funny to give out such advice given his own games and how every moment with V’zire was a lie that the greenrider ate up eagerly. Ravana had simply made a nice opening to mess with her love life and he couldn’t ignore it, though she’d likely not thank him for planting that seed of doubt in her active mind. Still, if B’run were half the man he strutted around as, he’d use the stories about his mate to cover up his own roaming eye and make himself look like the wounded party.

“I know that doesn’t help unwind you any. I’m sure it’s only my naturally suspicious mind at work,” another easy smile was given to Ravana and he placed his free hand atop hers, thumb stroking gently over her smooth skin. All of this kindness was making him feel dirty but D’hys was convinced it, like his time with V’zire, would pay off in the long run.

The hesitation after his name was said in such a way made D’hys aware there was a hidden question that Ravana was afraid to ask. He couldn’t figure out what it was or why she’d be afraid to ask him something when the woman always seemed ready to speak her mind and that left him extremely intrigued. “What do you owe me?” There were quite a few things he could say and they all ranked differently on the scale of innocence but D’hys decided to further up his niceness act in her eyes. “You can either act out the story with me at a later date or we can say the heads up is a thank you for keeping your winged critter away from me.” He knew how hard it was to train the little buggers given how often he was putting up with one of Z’ia’s green firelizards that liked to sit and stare longingly at him. Z’ia naturally encouraged it but it was nice to see there was at least one responsible owner in the Weyr.

Ravana eyed D'hys as he spoke of her love life and murmured, "Trust has to be earned.  We're working on it."  She left the 'and you can butt out' unspoken.  Really the only advice she could need from D'hys was advice on how to seduce B'run, if she ever worked up the nerve to do so.  She wasn't stupid enough to ask, she had the feeling he would manage to talk her into...hands on lessons.

Which reminded her, he was touching her, why was he touching her?  Shanith told her, Because you touched him first.  Oh right.  She forced herself to not take her hand back now, hiding how disconcerted the simple touch made her.  She owed him more than rudeness.

Snorting at his answer to what she owed him, Ravana gave him a dry look.  "Is there anyone in this place you haven't tried to seduce?"  Humor laced her words, she still didn't think he was entirely serious about wanting her in the bedroom.  "And I will keep Stubborn away from you.  No point in making you squirm unnecessarily."  She looked to him, for a moment wondering what it would be like to say yes, then shaking the thought from her head.  That would be stupidity.  He'd find her wanting and she'd be betraying B'run and...there was many many reasons to say no.  That she couldn't quite remember them all now was only the gold flight lingering in her system.

She did say no, yes?  I think so.  Ah well, if she hadn't, Stubborn was only a thought away.  Why was he still touching her?

“One or two,” D’hys replied with a sly grin. In truth, he did his best to stay away from Candidates, especially those brought in from the North. Whiny brats. Ravana at least had a dragon, was fun to interact with, and was almost mated to someone so fooling around with her seemed even more appealing. “I’d rather make you squirm in anticipation.” Flirting was a far more appealing topic than firelizards, even if he was the one that brought the oddly coloured gold up to begin with. At least this way D’hys knew he was leaving his mark on the greenrider’s mind, whether she was receptive right now or not.

“As to the trust issue,” D’hys had caught on to the way Ravana silently told him to mind his own business but that wasn’t any fun. Leaving the topic alone for a moment to lull her into the belief that he would keep his nose out of it before striking again was the better option. Not that he had anything negative to add just yet. D’hys was using it as another way to win over the greenrider. “Zeianth can be used to back Shanith and you up if B’run starts doubting you about us. He can’t deny what is the truth when two dragons have the same story.”

D’hys finally let go of Ravana’s hand but stayed crouching beside her. “Will you be okay this evening? I don’t mind escorting you home or maybe to the bathhouse for a relaxing soak,” he might even continue to behave in both cases! Even when people think you’re behaving, you really aren’t. Zeianth added lazily as he gave in to the affection coming from Shanith and licked her cheek before resting his head on his paws once more. I know; that’s the beauty of it.

Ravana chuckled and stuck her tongue out at D'hys.  "Do I look capable of squirming?"  Maybe she would mentally but physically?  Nah...  "Well maybe wing practice will make me squirm if I keep being the poster child for how not to do things."  Thus far T'rel hadn't broken out the lash but Ravana knew it was only a matter of time.

Ravana bit her lip at his offer then shook her head.  "If it devolves that far, we've bigger issues than a note, you know?"  She went to stand, managing to get her legs tangled something, either him or part of a dragon and fell gracelessly to the ground again.  "Sorry, my clumsy."  She stood again, dusted herself off and touched Shanith's nose, wondering why her dragon seemed shocked.

"Nah. I'll be fine.  I'll swing by a friend's and pick my daughter and head home.  No need to torture you with the second half of the trip."  As toddlers went, Berani was well behaved and since she had yet to talk, she didn't talk back, but she was still a toddler with an over fondness of dragons.  She was liable to try to ride Zeianth and she had a feeling the blue wouldn't hold still for being climbed on like Olemuth did.

Shanith gently licked Zeianth back after recovering from her shock then stood.  I should follow mine home.  She doesn't let me babysit Berani, but she likes it better when she can watch me.  Seh thinks I'll bug people if she doesn't.

"Wherry dung all over T'rel for I don't even care what.  I don't even want to know what bits of dead fish all over the last creche worker to insult Berani.  Locking a weyrbrat in a shed and forgetting about him over bullying.  Pouncing on Xyreith.  Telling one of the weyrlings where the bakers keep the bubbly pies.  Assisting weyrbrats into breaking into the paint shed.  Convincing a weyrling that wild whers can disguise themselves as wherries and herdbeasts.  Pestering Rilayeeth, Tyrrisath, Zeianth and Aradissicath.  And don't think I don't know about the firelizard eggs!  You're staying where I can see you."

The green sighed.  I had really good reasons for all of it.  "Weyrlings Shanith.  Weyrlings!  I really don't want to meet J'di over anything that isn't T'ken!"  Bickering familiarly with her green, Ravana headed for her friend's hut.

D’hys wasn’t known for being prince charming or the first to offer assistance to a damsel in distress – unless he knew it would benefit him in some way – but he did have quick reflexes and reaction times. As soon as Ravana was on the ground again, D’hys was there with a hand, offering to assist her back to her feet. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of the woman with her panic attacks and clumsiness but she was still worth putting in a little more effort to see what he could get out of her.

“My offer stands. If you need me for anything, come find me.” He barely refrained wriggling a brow at her with his flirtatious advancement hidden in the fairly innocent comment. She had earned some flirting with keeping the firelizard nuisance and child away from him. It was almost disappointing that she had turned down the offer for an escort but when the daughter was mentioned, D’hys appreciated the kindness the greenrider kept offering him. It made his life easier for convincing her and others about how wonderful he was.

Then, seemingly out of the blue, Ravana was babbling a long and confusing list of random things. It took only a moment for D’hys to gather it was a retort to her dragon and he decided it was a list of things the green had done in recent times. Green dragons seemed like such a handful! How thankful was he to have a blue? His father was likely still disappointed he hadn’t Impressed a brown, like his, but D’hys didn’t care. Zeianth was perfect and they had proven again and again they could hang with the browns and hold their own. They had even been Wingsecond for a while before S’kef shook things up and offered a position to a Katilan born brown dragon and his rider.

“I think I’ll leave you to your hopefully uneventful evening, Ravana,” D’hys replied almost absently as he still tried to catch up to the conversation and what had happened. It was hard to decide if she really was worth the effort of playing nice with when she seemed a little off her rocker at times but D’hys supposed that kept things fresh and interesting.

As Ravana wandered off with her dragon, D’hys turned to his to give Zeianth a pat to the nose before walking off toward his hut, Zeianth taking to the sky to lazily fly above him.
