Did one normally dress up to attend a hatching? Gangleri wasn't sure what the protocol was for that sort of event, but precaution along with his own general need for a bit of flamboyance and flair had him shopping for at least a new jacket, perhaps also a shirt. It was still early yet, he wasn't sure if Quil had heard back from her son if he was going to Stand or not for the upcoming clutches at Fort, but it never hurt to be prepared. That and he could wear anything he did get for one of the many Turnover events he would doubtless be attending if not officiating or performing.
Should he get something for Quilriana too? A nice new fur lined coat would certainly help with the cold winter, maybe some gloves so that she would be less likely to crush his hand as he offered moral support. He still wasn't sure if she had been joking or not about that, but better safe than sorry. He was on his way to a merchant who specialized in women's clothing when a flash of long brown hair and an eerily familiar face caught his eye.
Was it... no. That was ridiculous. Gangleri came to an abrupt stop and tried to spot the woman again. There she was! And her face... it was a face he hadn't seen in a year and he found himself almost running to the woman as his heart began to pound. He reached out, a hand on her shoulder to spin her around. "Jav--" he cut himself off to stare at the young woman. No, this wasn't Javira at all, she was much too young... a daughter? No, Javira didn't have any daughters, only a few sons with her husband... at least that's what he'd thought. But here she was, a match for his love's face but over a decade younger.
Gangleri realized he was staring and quickly withdrew his hand. "Ah, sorry. I thought... thought you were someone else... I'm Gangleri, wandering Harper. May I know your name as well? Are you from the area?" The more he looked at her face the more uncanny it became. Even her eyes were the same shape, the same light brown. He swallowed, took an unconscious step back and tried to take a deep breath to help cam himself down.
