743.07.02 | Spiderwebs - K'dar - 05.Jul.22

That has been tested, yes? And not by you? You had someone else shove their hand into it? The bronze eyed the bucket of oil warily, tail giving an agitated swish behind him. Nari checked it, and also said he tried to add some things to it to help your hide heal more. K'dar was still stuck in Benden for the moment, and still sore in places. He'd been eager to try and get home but a small seizure he'd been awake and aware for had frightened him into absolute obedience of Rham's orders. He hadn't even known what was happening when his arm had begun to contort and tighten, the muscles spasming painfully; he had run to the infirmary only to find out from the healer that not all seizures resulted in someone frothing at the mouth and shaking on the floor.

So when Rh'us had repeated that he was not to leave until the healer told him so, he didn't argue or plot to try and sneak out to go back home. K'dar dipped his pinky finger into the oil and let it sit for a bit though he could feel Tiber's irritation with the gesture. I said not by you... but I suppose it's safe if N'noa checked it. K'dar nodded as he got his rag soaked and carefully set to rubbing the itchiest and sorest patches of Tiber's hide. With how sore and sensitive the bronze was in some spots K'dar didn't want to risk pressing too hard with a mop, even if using a rag would take longer. That and with how worried he'd been, he wanted to take a chance to just fuss over Tiber a little more.

Once he reached Tiberuth's face the dragon softly asked, How bad is it? K'dar paused and frowned for a moment as he stared at the spiderweb of white cracks that crossed over the dragon's muzzle and along his lower jaw. Even his eye ridges and head knobs were marked with them. He could feel Tiber taking a peek of his own and K'dar gently traced a finger along one before adding a bit more oil to the spot. "I think it's lucky you're already so handsome," he said hoarsely though he winced at how sore his throat was.

You shouldn't have run. You were recovering before that. I know. Tiberuth leaned his head forward to give K'dar's chest an affectionate and reassuring nuzzle. I am sure you will recover quickly enough. And I will be ready to carry you as soon as soon as you are well. K'dar hugged the bronze's head and gave him a few affectionate rubs before he got back to oiling. He could still feel Tiberuth looking at himself, studying the way the scars crisscrossed his hide. I think your sister was right. They do make me look distinguished. K'dar smiled and gave the dragon's neck a fond pat.
