742.06.30 | All The Pretty Eggies - Casa - 11.Jul.21 “Are you done?” Casa asked at last, from the sidelines, as her dragon grunted and moved around the eggs she had laid over the past few hours. She hadn’t pushed another into the world for a little while now, so Casa was fairly sure the beasty was done with her reproduction, but then, she’d thought that a handful of eggs ago, too. How many did Thallyath have stuffed into her? Her tiny dragon had been positively humongous with egg, but still! She was tiny, there wasn’t all that much room to house a lot of them. Not like the big dragons, like Aradissicath, who laid clutches of thirty or forty. Thank Faranth! Casa did not need to deal with tens of eggs. Yes, she purred, and Casa beamed. Thirteen, Thallyath said quietly as she moved around some more, nosing at the eggs and setting their soft shelled bodies into the sand suitably. And this, the gold moved carefully, and nosed the small golden shell so Casa was drawn towards it. “Oh Thally!” Casa breathed. The gold egg was tiny, barely any bigger than any of the other twelve eggs, but it was definitely golden. A little gold baby! “You wonderful girl.” Thallyath preened, curling up off to one side with a stretch and a curl of her tail. You will send word to Urudith and his, Thallyath stated, and Casa smiled, nodding, as she walked between the thirteen eggs, being careful not to touch any of them. “You have done well, my girl,” Casa said proudly. “I’ll make sure everyone knows.”
