Dareji likes simple yet cute dresses, some of which are actually men’s dress shirts that are ridiculously too big on her but still suit her. Sometimes she throws a belt on with the shirt-dress to help give it a bit more shape. Otherwise, when the task calls for it, she has no problem putting on pants. But dresses are preferred overall. She also likes to wear a thin braided headband most of the time, treating it like someone would a necklace. She also usually has a lot of bracelets on as she fully supports R’dal’s interest in making them. Some are leather and some are beads, but she loves them all.

722 & Born: Dareji is born, second child to her parents.

726 & 4: Her parents decide to part ways and she lives with her mother more than with her father.

727-730 & 5-8: Mostly spends the day playing with other kids her age. Once they start getting more crafters brought in, the ‘Stolen’, Dareji finds herself getting more chances at education outside of the few dragonriders that were Harper-trained or well-learned themselves. The first Hatching after the plague in 727 was pretty cool to her but she was still too young to understand the significance of it, only deciding she wanted a small dragon too.

731 & 9: Old enough now to understand the ‘small dragons’ would grow into the large ones, Dareji still wants one of her own, though she’s now willing to wait since it seems like a lot of work to care for one!

732 & 10: Breaks her arm playing too roughly with some of the boys along the river’s edge but tells her parents she slipped on wet rocks, not wanting anyone to get in trouble.

734 & 12: After celebrating some of her friends Impressing, the landslide strikes and wipes out most of their community. She lived in the section not directly hit and is left unscathed and with her entire family intact. Not everyone she knew was as lucky. As small, weak, and unskilled as she is, Dareji does her best to help anywhere she can, usually running linens and bowls of water here and there for the Healers.

735 & 13: The move North. At first she didn’t want to go, afraid to leave behind what she knew so well. But new Katila never felt right and after a bit—not like she had a choice—Dareji warmed up to the idea and found her optimism returning and looking forward to it. Her brother also Impressed which was amazing and a good sign that everything was working out well.

736 & 14: With Fort and Ista now open, Dareji moves to Ista, missing the more constant heat and the water. Her brother and R’dal went to Fort but many other friends went to Ista as well which helped make the move easier.

738 & 16: Loses her virginity! It actually wasn’t that exciting but Dareji gives it a whirl a few more times, including girls in her attempts and starts to figure out what she’s more interested in.

739 & 17: Even she has her limits and this turn pushed her hard. The fires were devastating and she lived in constant fear that a friend or family member wouldn’t come back from fighting it back. Some lives were lost but no one that was too close to her. Unlike at the Ista Hatching earlier in the year where she saw a brown dragonet kill two girls, both of which she was friends with. The Telgar Hatching later in the year saw a gold dragonet rampaging and she was close to being in her way. Somehow she walked away with only a twisted ankle from falling during the rush of Candidates running away.

740 & 18: A mostly quiet year until Nerreh and blue Faxxonth win gold Thallyath’s maiden Flight. She’s not sure how to feel since they’re both her friends but it’s so non-conventional. In the end, she put a smile on and supported her friends, not caring about colours. She Stood for the Hatching but it broke her heart to see the death of the hatchlings and started worrying about childhood friends Madiquel and Beckitt.

741 & 19: After Aradissicath's Hatching at the start of the year, Dareji goes to Healer Hall as part of the deal Fort Weyr has with the Hall. By the end of the year, she has finished the training and returns to the Weyr where, as part of the arrangement, she will continue to live and only Stands for Fort.

742 & 20: Her father, R'jit, is killed (during the Murder Mystery event).
