Rilaleeyth hated her flights as much as she loved them. They made her feel beautiful and desired. They made her know that she was a female and a seductive and sensual one at that. Yet they also made her feel silly. She didn’t have a large group of followers and while she knew that was likely due to her rider being J’ver and how close she was to Tyrrisath, she still felt like it was her own fault that many didn’t bother to give chase or that some were disgusted upon waking up with J’ver in their arms. Her human wasn’t that bad! He was just hard to get to know but S’kef had taken the time and liked J’ver, didn’t that count for anything?

So when she felt herself growing restless and J’ver was crankier than usual over everything from his appearance to meals being served to the brightness of the sun, Rilaleeyth started to worry. It was only a few short days after the young gold had risen; would anyone be interested in just another green taking to the sky now? Would she be seen as a mere copycat or someone simply seeking attention? That wasn’t the case! She was happy Krypth rose since it made her close friends happy. J’ver was excited at the win Tyrrisath and S’kef managed and even she was fine and happy with her favourite brown winning another female. She wouldn’t worry, given that Nirinath still lived and flying Krypth didn’t put an end to the way she could curl up beside the big brown that was so warm and safe.

J’ver, you really shouldn’t go out right now. Stay in, please. She knew J’ver reacted somewhat negatively upon waking up in a stranger’s bed or a random location though that also meant he could easily slip away as soon as he could, but it was being caught off guard that her bonded hated the most. So why wasn’t he paying her any mind this time? Was visiting that Healer so important? Apparently so, as J’ver insisted he needed some sort of salve for his sensitive skin being rather itchy on his arm.

As J’ver waltzed into the hall and made his way to Talian’s office, Rilaleeyth stretched and took off a moment later to proudly display her bright green hide against the rays of the setting sun. Catch me if you dare! She taunted to the males, her usually soft voice now deepened with sensual and sultry undertones. She had learned that challenging egos worked to her advantage and would sometimes draw a few more suitors. Some chased because they wanted to see if they would anger S’kef and Tyrrisath while others did it to prove something to friends, claiming they survived bedding J’ver. Rilaleeyth didn’t mind their reasons since the winner always proved to be wonderful to her and made her feel special until they parted ways.

J’ver entered the office without knocking, knowing the Healer within wouldn’t argue with the intrusion when he saw who was at the door. He was also a man sworn to help those in pain and the greenrider considered his rash to be a pain and wouldn’t be turned away. “Sweet Talian, I’m in need of…” J’ver frowned and then widened his eyes as he realised what his dragon was doing, “your office, it would seem.” He sighed and began taking his shirt off. He hated when his fabulous wardrobe was destroyed because of eager hands. It was best to get a head start before he, and his lover, lost their heads to dragonlust.

Aveleth had been acting unusual, in the usual manner that indicated one thing to his rider; one of the blues favourite greens was coming into heat. Of course, Aveleth flew whenever Z'ia felt the need to spur him on, as was their way, but of his own choosing, Aveleth would fly after only two or three particular beasts. Getting the shy blew to chase after anyone else took a lot more effort on Z'ia's part than anyone was wont to know. He supposed he should be grateful there were a green or two that the dragon would chase without prompting, but honestly! Z'ia didn't know why he had to pick the three he did. Not the least of which was J'ver and his silly little dragon.

She is not silly! Aveleth's snowflake voice was suddenly icy, zipping through Z'ia's mind and causing the young man to roll his eyes. She is sweet, and precious and she will fly today. Go! Z'ia huffed and grumbled as he untangled himself from D'hys and tumbled out of bed, kicking the blanket along with him (it was about time D'hys got up anyway; it was well after Noon) and grumbled as he found a shirt, and his own pants. Still grumbling and muttering, Z'ia meandered his way out into the kitchen and set some Klah to heat, dumping a mug on the bench and rubbing a hand over his face as he waited.

"When?" He asked aloud, voice as irritable as his expression. Today. Aveleth's voice had gone back to it's usual mellow dreaminess and Z'ia could feel his bonded rise from where he'd been curled against Zeianth's back, the younger dragon flaring his wings lightly and then lifting off from the ground. "Where are you going?" To wait. "Brilliant," Z'ia rolled his eyes, realising he was going to be without a dragon to travel on for the remainder of the day. Bloody wonderful.

Of course, not being babysat by Aveleth for the remainder of the day should have offered up a multitude of opportunities. Instead, all Z'ia could feel was the countdown until the feisty female took to the skies. Sighing, he abandoned the warming Klah, Z'ia slipped back into the bedroom and leaned against the door frame. "Rilaleeyth is going to fly this evening, apparently." Z'ia didn't bother to further explain; D'hys was as well versed in Aveleth's strange affection for the little green as he was. Giving a mocking salute to D'hys, Z'ia made his way from hut to bathing house. He might not like J'ver, or enjoy winning the flights that had him bedding the greenrider, but he had his own set of standards to uphold, and winning a flight dirty was not one of them. Bath time!

Z'ia was drying his hair, a towel wrapped around his waist, when Rilaleeyth's challenge rang out. Where is he? Usually, the greenrider stuck to his own hut, but it was always wise to check fist. Z'ia had no desire to go galloping down to the man's hut if he was in the bathing room across the hall! Healer Hall ... What? Z'ia sighed as he heard Aveleth's unusually self assured bellow ring out in response, the dragon shooting into the skies after the timid green with wings flared and eyes fixated. Lust swirled around the edges of his mind as Z'ia tossed aside the towel he'd been using to dry his hair, and gripped the towel around his hips with one hand. No point putting his pants on. He'd only be taking them off in a few minutes anyway!

Slipping out of the room, and down the hall, Z'ia wove through the few people that were scattered around, entering for their evening bath or whatever they were up to. He didn't really care much as Aveleth's mind fought harder to meld with his own, the bluerider focusing more strongly on which foot to put in front of the other, and the hand holding his towel secure. It was both a lifetime and a breath before he reached the Healer Hall, shoving his way in and staring around blankly. A gasped question had him shoved in the right direction, and Z'ia shortly found himself outside the Master Healer boy's office.

"Evening, gentlemen," Z'ia purred, slipping up to J'ver on light feet, poised on his toes. He ignored Talian completely, as the object of his attentions was found and focused upon. Outside, Aveleth crooned sweetly as the evening air smoothed over his opaled blue hide; Rilaleeyth... A soft caress.
Unless stated otherwise, Aveleth never speaks to anyone but Z'ia

Talian spun around in his chair, a troubled expression crossing his face.

"J'ver," he said in an icily pleasant tone. He hated how that snake just slithered in uninvited. Tal hated a lot of things about the man, but he'd let his hate for the man himself fade. Talian, it turned out, wasn't well suited to hate.

There was still fear, though. Revulsion. Humiliation. Tal had plenty of negative emotions to sling around without having to stoop to hate.

"You need my...what?"

Tal's eyes widened as the greenrider started to peel his clothes off, right there in the middle of his office! Tal opened his mouth to object as his heart started to race in his chest. Then, he heard the dragons' calls.

Oh.

"Fuck this!" Tal said pointedly, poking one accusing finger at J'ver before turning and heading to his office window. He threw it open and scrambled outside within a second's time. He took off, not daring to look back.

Ugh, his poor office.

Rilaleeyth!

Tyrrisath exploded off of the roof of his bonded's hut. The brown, strong and proud after his recent victory over Krypth, was bursting with enthusiasm to reclaim his favorite prize. Krypth was a fine dragon! He respected her and admired her strength. He was proud to be the one to pluck her from the sky during her first flight, but if dragons could feel love, then  only love could describe his feelings for this delicate little green.

The brown took off, great wings propelling him forward with aggressive speed. A greenflight was a simple matter! He could throw his weight into it and overwhelm her as he always did, or at least usually! On the way, he snapped viciously at one of his rivals. His eyes flushed red and he let out a screech of defiance.

She belongs to ME!

S'kef was enraged. He wasn't sure why, but flights always made him so angry. He let out a growl as he stalked into the healing hall, shoving one of the apprentices away as she met him at the door.

"J'VER!" he screamed. He stormed down the hallway and into the office, crashing his shoulder into the first pissant bluerider he came across.

Oh, fancy that!

"Fuck off, Z'ia," the brownrider hissed. How dare that loser get in his way! Filled with indignation that these pieces of shit would even dare look at his property, he scowled at the lot of them before pushing his way to the front. He prowled towards J'ver, eyes wide with desire.

"Oh...my pet..." he said, sliding in as close as he dared. Oh, how hard it was to restrain himself, to keep himself from grabbing that adorable greenrider and taking him right there! What was rightfully his lingered well within his reach, and yet so far away! Separated by a stretch of sky.

D’hys blinked several times before attempting to focus bleary eyes in the location he heard an annoyed – and annoying! – voice. He hadn’t cared when Z’ia took the sheet as he left the bed, not at all inclined to follow suit and rise just yet. Even he was entitled to a lazy day off and his fellow bluerider had made sure it was well-warranted with the amount of energy spent until they passed out. As Z’ia mumbled something about a flight, D’hys found he really didn’t have any desire to speak and channelled all of his energy into lifting a hand to flip off his friend for waking him.

With Z’ia gone, D’hys turned his attention to Zeianth. Rilaleeyth… J’ver’s, right? He wasn’t awake enough to form much else in ways of connecting the dots, though he did recall Aveleth’s affection for the green. Indeed. Aveleth thinks it will be this evening.

We flew them recently. He always remembered that particular flight solely because it pissed off S’kef when he lost which amused D’hys to no end. Will you want to chase again? Zeianth was quick to answer as he was almost as loyal to his young friend as he was to D’hys. No, I had her last flight and Aveleth is quite focused this time. He hoped the poor dragon won; it’d be a nice reward after Z’ia’s most recent stunt. Since he wasn’t chasing, Zeianth was confident Aveleth would take the win this time.

Good. D’hys replied before drifting back to sleep.

It was only a few days since that somewhat traumatizing experience of a first flight. He had managed to avoid leaving his room the remainder of the day and a portion of the next before G’rem came to talk about what happened. That was possibly even more traumatizing than the emotions and connections had been. Valerian tried not to dwell on any of it but it was hard to do when Jada was a friend and everyone still talked about it. It didn’t help to document it either and Valerian found himself wanting to see B’jin and talk. For as energetic and random the greenrider was, he was also an intelligent Harper with decent advice.

Valerian thought about seeing B’jin that evening but Veeth had other ideas. The little blue didn’t think he had done anything wrong and thought that day had been fun! Except for losing, of course. But Valerian and Jada were being weird so Veeth tried not to mention anything around them but chatted with other dragons a lot more instead.

He was also still curious about what he did and what further fun it would surely lead to, so it was only natural that he perked up at the sultry voice challenging him. It was another chance to prove himself! Veeth jumped to his feet and reached out to Valerian. His quiet human hadn’t wanted to join him outside for a nap that evening which made Veeth worry Valerian was ill, despite all the assurances he was fine. She’s very pretty. Veeth gushed softly as he sent the image of the green flying so gracefully to his bonded when he voiced his confusion.

It didn’t help Valerian much until he felt Veeth’s lust creeping up on him like it had when Krypth rose. “Veeth, no. No, no, no.” He didn’t want to go through that again, not so soon, and especially not with a dragon he didn’t recognize and wouldn’t know the rider. “Veeth, please. We’ll visit Larrikith instead. You love spending time with her.” Valerian knew it was hopeless as Veeth wasn’t even listening anymore. The lust grew stronger as his dragon took off to join the chase and Valerian gripped the seat of the chair he sat on. Maybe if he willed himself to stay, he actually would and Veeth would give up.

Like most wishful thinking, it didn’t happen and soon thereafter, Valerian was slowly stumbling from his room and down the hall, earning a few gawkers.

He didn’t know who was bonded to the brightly coloured dragon but the young Harper desired the rider all the same in disturbingly high proportions, and his feet kept moving him onward to the goal.

Rilaleeyth flourished under the attention she received. Her crowd was tiny, it always was, but they paid homage to her wonderfully and made up for the difference in draw when compared to her sisters with more amiable riders. She hated that only one could ever win at a time. It felt so wrong to deny such lovely males that knew her worth! Like the sweet blue that greeted her with a gentle caress to her mind. She adores Aveleth; he was like a kindred soul that knew the torments of having such a spirited rider that followed his own rules. As a reward for being so loyal and always following her, Rilaleeyth sharply turned and came back around on her trail, flying over Aveleth and diving for the ground. She teased with her close manoeuvre and brushed only his mind as well, Catch me again, Aveleth. I know you can, my beautiful blue!

Her voice was a gentle laugh as she continued her descent before pulling up and leading the males back to the open space of the twilight sky. She loved this time of night; her bright hide, while muted in the fading light, took on fun colours when the sky turned from blue to orange to pink. As she made her way zig-zagging above the weyr, her strong protector was spotted, though she had heard his claim long before. While she adored Aveleth and felt free around him, Tyrrisath was her protector, the one that was always there beside her to keep her safe and comfort her during the bad times. Prove that I do, Tyrrisath! She challenged with glee, enjoying the boost of courage that came during flights. She would easily give herself over soon to the male that proved he wanted her the most and submit utterly to him but a little taunting and tempting never hurt!

A quick glance back showed one of the blue weyrlings had joined in. He was doing rather well though she didn’t think he’d be a match for the two that seemed to fly her the most. Still, Rilaleeyth crooned her encouragement, flattered by his attempt to win her. He was so adorable and tiny!

“Well that was rude,” J’ver pouted at Z’ia and then at the window Talian dove out, abandoning the scene of what would surely be entertaining soon enough. He’d have to remember to find the Healer later on for the salve, and likely some numbweed as well if the winner was in an extra feisty mood. Given Tyrrisath’s boisterous entrance, J’ver knew if S’kef won he’d be sore for days. A shiver ran down his spine as the now neatly folded shirt was set on a chair J’ver’s rapidly fogging mind deemed safe enough.

Fingers fumbled with his pants, attempting to at least save the clasps before he was roughly stripped, but gave up as his sweet green’s seductress nature appeared. J’ver sauntered closer to Z’ia and ran his hand approvingly down the toned body. He didn’t much care for the man but he was a good lay and wouldn’t be an eyesore to wake up to. “Yes… are you still worthy of a win?” J’ver taunted in time with Rilaleeyth before stepping back which ended up being a good thing as S’kef burst into the room. Nothing was said in return though the lust he was lost in amplified the feelings he held for the brownrider and J’ver nearly threw himself at the man that could hurt him as easily as he pleasured. He resisted, however, knowing the game wasn’t over just yet and he still needed to be claimed by the one that proved his desire was strongest.

There was an excitement J’ver could never shake when he was surrounded by men motivated by such primal needs. It was dangerous but arousing and pale blue eyes that were both seeing and unseeing took in every man that crowded in closer. He welcomed them with a beckoning finger as he stepped lightly backwards until his back met the wall.

There was something especially infuriating about Rilaleeyth's flights that taunted and teased S'kef. He snorted at J'ver, eyes filled with indignant rage as he resisted the urge to dive forward. J'ver, taunting him?! Rilaleeyth, taunting them both?

Scandalous!

S'kef clenched his fists and stared hard at his greenrider, every fiber of his body wired and stretched taut, ready to snap into action. There was no annoyingly long pursuit, no scrambling to run over rivals, no anxiety of politics...this was his.

How infuriating it was that he didn't always win! J'ver, that little brat! 'Kef narrowed his eyes, threatening without words. J'ver knew what would happen if he didn't win!

Outside, Tyrristah let out another raging bellow as he pursued. He threw all of his great strength into a mad dash towards the lovely green. He wanted to prove her her how badly he still wanted her, that no gold would come between them! He plowed past several blues and found himself racing neck and neck with a fellow brown, but what was that i the corner of his eye?

Aveleth? The brown snorted. It was always Aveleth.

And a new blue challenger as well, that same little one from Krypth's flight?  Very well. Let them try!

Another feral snarl erupted from the normally silent brown as he surged forward. Ah, greenflights! The chase was getting interesting already!

I'shan?

What?

You still dislike J'ver, am I correct?

Always? What's your point?

He is about to be....vulnerable

Ilveriath spoke in a teasing tone, only half serious as he arranged himself on the roof of their hut. He could sense Rilaleeyth's stirring and fully planned to chase her, but...well...his recent choices had upset his rider an awful lot. The obnoxious question was Ilveriath's way of getting permission.

I'shan burst out the door. "Rilalaeeyth is flying?" he asked, eyes wide.

About to be

A wicked grin crossed his face.

Oh, sweet, sweet revenge.

A few moments later, Rilaleeyth's sweet voice reached Ilveriath. The dragon's newly ignited lust rushed to I'shan just as quickly. A split second later, they were off!

Ilveriath cast his thin body into the air. Rilaleeyth! Loveliest of ladies! he called out, seeking to charm the pretty green while the  others seemed to opt for sheer force. Ilveriath's narrow form tapered and swayed in the wind, lithe and graceful in contrast to their mass.

He would have her!And oh, what fun it would be!

I'shan, meanwhile, took off at a sprint for...where was J'ver again? Healer hall for some reason? Whatever. He charged, but he had a long way to go.

Normally, Tyrrisath was more than capable of cowing the young blue dragon. Easily intimidated, and lacking a great deal of confidence, it took very little to put him in his apparent place. That, however, did not apply in a flight - or rather, sometimes it did. When it didn't happen was in Rilaleeyth's flights. The beautiful green was the focus of Aveleth's lusty gaze, eyes sparkling and swirling with intensity he was not thrown off by the screaming streak of fury that was Tyrrisath.

Unfortunately, Z'ia was much less lucky, and S'kef's shove send the much smaller man tumbling across the room with a shriek of combined indignation and laughter. Scrambling to his feet once more, the young bluerider revelled in the lust Aveleth was sharing with him, shivering in delight and bounding back into the fray of riders surrounding J'ver. He stepped delicately through most of them, harshly across S'kef's left foot (being sure to grind his heel in) and then over to the other side of J'ver, well out of arm reach.

My honour, Aveleth whispered in return, his voice a gentle caress against Rilaleeyth's mind, carrying all the promise of his strength and devotion he threw into his flight. Rilaleeyth was worth anything; she was worth everything and his feelings on such rippled through his young body, rolling off him in waves as the little dragon spun after the precious green; his precious green.

Z'ia, lost within the confident lust of Aveleth's mind, trembled at the remembered touch of J'ver's fingers against his chest and he wove closer, grinning wickedly as the greenrider pressed back against the wall. The little bluerider swayed impatiently on the spot, fingers twitching, need burning through his veins. In the air, Aveleth, too, trembled as he dipped and swerved amongst the other blues, ignoring their own attempts as he focused his full attention upon the petite and precious body of the glowing green he so desired.

As you wish, he affirmed gently, having not made a vocal sound the duration, simply purring against Rilaleeyth's mind at intervals, as he slipped to the front of the pack. He would catch her. He would. Confidence radiated from his youthful, delicately coloured body. With a heavy downbeat of wings, and a twist, Aveleth swirled ahead, making an unveiled attempt to tangle with the glowing body of Rilaleeyth. In Talian's office, Z'ia moved forward with the same unending confidence, reaching up to jerk J'ver's head down and kiss him; there was no way he was going anywhere without a taste - or without pissing off S'kef!
Unless stated otherwise, Aveleth never speaks to anyone but Z'ia

She felt so desired, so special! All these males thought her to be precious and wanted her, and Rilaleeyth couldn’t fault a single one of them as she was pretty amazing. Although, when Ilveriath entered the chase, darting so easily between competitors and moving closer to her, she did question his motives. He talked as sweetly as the others but J’ver’s dislike of I’shan bristled at seeing the blue dare to get so close. You speak sweet words, dear Ilveriath, but is it sincerity or only a game? She would put her faith in the dragon but J’ver had no love for the rider and it encouraged her to push on, moving away from the blue she taunted with a soft bellow, with J’ver glancing toward the door he assumed the bluerider would dash through; unless he came in the window sweet Talian had fled, which seemed a bit more of a natural assumption given it was I’shan.

J’ver eagerly kissed back when Z’ia boldly stole a taste of the prize but he was soon pushing the bluerider back into his proper place of admirer until proven otherwise. His gaze then turned to S’kef and he smiled sweetly at the man, encouraging him, promising him victory; but it was a rouse. Well, if the dragon crumbled under his will. Do not let Tyrrisath win, sweet girl. He trembled as he took a small step toward his lover before immediately pressing back against the wall. It was hard to resist the man and he wasn’t angry about chasing the golden children since it would help their cause in reaching power once more. No, S’kef needed punishing for the beating he gave. J’ver knew it would anger the brownrider but he’d just have to live with it.

Rilaleeyth balked at the battle of will, always displeased with being told to turn away her constant companion and beautiful brown. J’ver didn’t understand that Tyrrisath would always accept her and she belonged to him. How could she not choose such a wonderful male?

But there was the adorable Aveleth. Always so devoted in flights and such a charming male that willingly approached her on a normal day. He treated her well and she always felt loved when with him as well. Oh, how could only one claim her!

Her resolve was wavering as quickly as the enjoyment she took in teasing the males and having them prove themselves to her. Rilaleeyth called out to them, issuing a final challenge before adjusting her speed and angle, purposely positioning herself to be caught by one of the dragons that had shown their affection and worth.

As J’ver once more stepped close to S’kef as the greenpair felt Tyrrisath closing in, he reached out for his secret lover, ready for the man to claim him as a prize. But there was Aveleth, still neck and neck with the monstrous brown and J’ver shivered with anticipation as he reached for Z’ia as well. J’ver placed a hand on Z’ia’s chest and the other on S’kef’s a moment before Rilaleeyth shrieked in surprise at being caught before falling completely submissive under her winner.

J’ver shoved the loser away before wrapping his arms around the winner’s neck to give himself over just as easily.

“I’m yours, Z’ia.”

Oh, that cheeky little wherry.

When S'kef felt a shove of rejection against his chest, he already knew what had happened. Again, once again, J'ver's honeyed tongue had tempted his green away from Tyrrisath.

You worthless piece of garbage he snapped curelly at his dragon, reeling in surprise and rejection. He turned to quickly flee the room, where he crashed into a thin bluerider who was late for the party. S'kef paused, gripping I'shan in his arms and watching at the bluerider squirmed in panic. S'kef considered it, but no...N'gelt was close enough to being his friend that it didn't feel right. Besides, J'ver would enjoy the punishment too much.

Aggravated, S'kef slammed I'shan into the wall one good time before pitching him to the floor, watching as the bluerider scrambled away.

That was inexcusable. You are a brown! No blue should be able to wrestle a green away from you, ever! he growled as he stormed down the hallway.

I am sorry Tyrrisath said with sincerity, his rich voice dripping with disappointment and shame. He didn't understand...he'd been so close! How could this have happened?

The brown didn't try to defend himself. He just shot an angry growl at Rilaleeyth and her mate before vanishing between, reappearing somewhere off in the distance to brood. Losing Rilaleeyth was one thing; she would fly again. But his rider had never spoken so badly to him in all their long turns together.

What was different this time?

Aveleth gave a soft purring rumble of approval as Rilaleeyth relaxed in his grasp, soft pale blue twining with the sharp contrast of her green as his nose nuzzled her cheek.

"Of course you are," Z'ia purred lightly, fingers shredding the other man's clothing with thoughtless abandon as the quivering thrill of Aveleth winning the flight coursed through his blood. His last mildly conscious thought was an offer of congratulations to his dragon. Then he was lost, and nothing mattered but revealing more of J'ver's skin.

~ ~ ~ You can only imagine all the nasty R-rated goodness Z'ia inflicted upon poor, innocent J'ver ~ ~ ~

Z'ia reclaimed his mind with an amused smile, rolling away from J'ver and sitting up happily, the young bluerider examined the damaged that had been done to the Masterhealer's office with obvious delight. It wasn't often he got to ruin something in such a delicious manner that belonged to someone that could probably require himself and his partner lashed for... inconveniencing him? Z'ia snorted and flicked a hand back through his hair, ruffling the curls.

"Wakey wakey, sweet cheeks!" Devious amusement lingering on his voice, Z'ia - without rising - shifted his seat slightly so he could swing one leg out, aiming a light kick at J'ver's rump. "You could sleep all year and it wouldn't improve your beauty." The wicked light that flashed through Z'ia's dark green eyes suggested J'ver could sleep for an eternity and never be considered 'beautiful'. His honeyed words suggested there was no one the bluerider found more attractive.

Well done Kiddo. You flew well.
Thank you. The dragon replied quietly, lying relaxed beside Rilaleeyth. He didn't nuzzle her again, though his eyes sparkled with gentle shades as he watched her with quiet fondness. She makes it easy, he said fondly. Entranced by the pretty green, he lifted his head from his forepaws and bump his nose softly against the green's chee. He then allowed his attention to shift to his rider, voice soft and not particularly eager as he asked his question mildly; Are you done?
Oh, in a moment, Z'ia replied, turning devious eyes back upon J'ver.

J’ver stirred awake at the irritating and chipper voice. It took a moment to recall why he felt stiff and was lying on something that was clearly not a soft bed, but recall he did and in time for the foot to nudge him. “Indeed I am rather beautiful. It’s a shame there isn’t anything to help you grow though, Z’ia.” J’ver rolled over and smiled sweetly at the bluerider, “although you do quite well working with what you have.” It was a compliment and likely the best anyone could hope to get out of the arrogant and catty greenrider. Still, he wasn’t interested in any follow-up examples and made his way to his feet before Z’ia could grab him if he so desired.

“I fear our dear Master Healer won’t be too pleased with us,” J’ver gave a dainty yawn as he looked around the room for his clothes. He really wasn’t concerned about what Talian thought of the mess, knowing nothing more than extra glares would come of it. At least now he had a reason he could share publically for the looks he was given. When his pants were spotted, J’ver sashayed over, delicately picked them up, and shook them out before frowning. The lacing had been ripped but he said nothing. Long ago he had learned riders didn’t care about what they had done during flightlust so he stopped complaining. It was just a good thing he knew how to sew and enjoyed it.

Rilaleeyth returned each nuzzle and shifted closer to Aveleth. The pretty blue was always gentle and kind which left her warmed through. It was horrible of her, she knew, to feel such a connection with Aveleth when Tyrrisath was so wonderful to her as well. Oh, but her brown companion seemed quite upset at losing and it worried her. She dared not reach out to him, not while still curled against Aveleth but she would do so later to see how angry he was.

At a particularly unpleasant, and hopefully unlikely, thought came to her, Rilaleeyth spoke softly and only to Aveleth, be careful when you leave me, my darling blue. Tyrrisath and his bonded are not the most gracious of losers on the best of days.

Z'ia smirked in response to J'ver's dig at his height, the words rolling off him much like water off and oiled hide. The tiny bluerider had long since stopped taking offence to such remarks, and instead tended to spin them around. The compliment that followed from the greenrider caused his smirk to widen, but an eyebrow also arched upward questioningly. J'ver only gave compliments when he wished to gain something, and Z'ia was far from stupid.

"Years of practise," he quipped, watching J'ver with lazy amusement as the greenrider quickly scampered away. Of course, he doubted that J'ver considered any action of his scampering, but Z'ia knew a runner when he saw one and the greenrider was definitely running. Highly amusing, considering Z'ia couldn't recall ever dragging J'ver down for another round. Delaying him was an entierly different kettle of fish, of course. The young rider had no desire to bed J'ver of his own free will, the man did nothing for him, but pissing off S'kef was ever an obtainable and delightful pastime, and keeping a greenrider delayed tended to keep his mate's mind active.

Z'ia snorted. "He'll cope," the man's voice was light, and still carrying his lingering amusement, as he sauntered to his feet and gave J'ver a poke in the rips as he passed him, hoping to get a reaction, before picking his towel up off the floor. "At least he keeps his inks safely stored." A wink was tossed to his current partner, and the towel was wrapped tightly around his hips. It was damp from the bath water still, but Z'ia put up with it as he noticed the issue J'ver currently had. Green eyes danced with amusement.

"You usually strip faster." Teasing, or insulting, J'ver would have to decide for himself as neither Z'ia's tone nor expression gave hint either way.

Indeed, Aveleth mumbled softly to the pretty green, licking her cheek gently in reassurance as he gave a soft, almost purr at her concern and attentions. The little blue's fanclub was, perhaps, even smaller than his companions. He rarely flew with gusto, and even more rarely won of his own choosing, and as a result took a special interest and housed gentle affection for those that he claimed without the focused though of Z'ia.

He enjoys amping them up, it was a timid admittance, as if worried the green would take fault with him for Z'ia's thrill of danger. Why his spunky human felt the need to cause trouble with the brownrider and his dragon was beyond Aveleth, who was more worried about trying to tone it down. He knew his avid desire to win Rilaleeyth's flights had the opposite effect (almost as if they spurred Z'ia on) but the blue couldn't find it in himself to abandon her. She was far too wonderful, and she didn't laugh at him.

You take care, too. It was as close to an order as Aveleth was capable of coming, his eyes flickering with concern. Tyrrisath may not be willing to see that Rilaleeyth had been claimed instead of choosing, and so she would be blamed. But Aveleth was no knight in shining armour, and as much as it shamed him, he knew he would be no shield for the pretty green if Tyrrisath decided to scold her; he was far too easily cowed himself.

J’ver knew Z’ia wasn’t like most of the flight winners and never tried to take more than he was allowed, and for that, he was grateful. Naturally the bluerider never heard a word of that appreciation. No doubt it would be told to everyone and they’d either mock him for it or turn it around and every winner would take seconds or thirds and the losers find him later. He knew how the weyr life worked, had been riding a green for thirty turns. He had seen and experienced too much in that time to think one kind word would be taken as it was and not twisted and used against him.

“Indeed he’ll have to since I don’t plan on doing much in the way of cleaning for the poor boy,” J’ver slipped his pants on and fiddled with the broken clasps as best he could to ensure they’d stay on until he was home. “Someone should inform B’jin that the boy knows the proper way of storing inks. It might save him time,” it still amused J’ver to think about the ink spilled on the Harper’s desk during his flight tumble with R’nd. It was just a pity neither ended up streaked with it. That would have been priceless and kept the gossipers happy for days.

“Perhaps it wasn’t me that was slower but you who was quicker.” J’ver gave a smug smirk to Z’ia as he plucked up his shirt, once so neatly folded and set aside and was now crumpled on the floor. He didn’t slip it on but instead moved to the bluerider and ran a hand lightly down Z’ia’s abdomen to rest at the knot of the towel, “you clearly couldn’t wait to have me. After all, you didn’t even bother with dressing.”

I couldn’t blame you! Not you’re your spirited rider would be at fault. A lot of people liked to pick on J’ver or rile up S’kef, it was just a fact of life. Aveleth and Z’ia at least were some of the kinder ones that they interacted with.

I will, Rilaleeyth licked Aveleth’s cheek before nestling in a little closer. She knew their riders would want to leave soon but she wanted to take advantage of short time she had with the kind blue that offered friendship and comfort. He won’t hurt me, I know he won’t. Perhaps she was just naïve, but the brightly coloured green fully believed no matter how angry Tyrrisath got, he would never hurt her and it was unlikely that S’kef would order her any harm either.

A word of thanks from J'ver probably would have sent the young bluerider into cardiac arrest; he didn't do anything to deserve a note of thanks. The bare fact was that he didn't desire J'ver so he didn't demand more: the story had been different with other greens. Their playful banter the two shared was another thing, the words familiar and easy, and it had surprised Z'ia how not awkward coming into his own mind and seeing the greenrider had been, both the first time and those that followed. Their flight induced friendship was catty and playful and completely forgotten until the next time they woke up together. Z'ia enjoyed it, and found it refreshing. It was certainly much more preferable than the dewy eyed greenriders that decided you were their One True Love until you either broke their heart or their silly minx took to the skies again.

Z'ia gave a snigger of amusement at the dig at B'jin. That was one green the young man hadn't yet managed to get Aveleth to chase properly. The young blue was luck lustre at the best of times, and Z'ia hadn't yet had much luck getting him to actually put in after Larrikith. She is Ayyonth's, Aveleth put in quietly, his voice mild and whispery. Z'ia's eyebrow arched upward. Is not Rilaleeyth Tyrrisath's? Only when she wishes to be.

"That too," Z'ia smirked, letting his dragon's strange logic go without a fight. What did it matter, either way? Winning was always nice and he was pretty sure he won at least one in five of Rilaleeyth's flights. Maybe more, which when he stopped to think on it, was rather interesting... Speaking of interesting. Z'ia's lips twisted into a smug smirk as J'ver with satisfaction. "Clearly," he purred huskily, green eyes sparkling as he leaned up to steal a kiss, a firm hand on the back of J'ver's neck refusing the greenrider an immediate escape. His eyes were bright with mischief, the action taken only to rile up J'ver for no other reason than to amuse himself.

Aveleth allowed Rilaleeyth's gentle words without fight, but his quiet gaze was less than reassured as she snuggled up close beside him. He wanted to believe her when she said that Tyrrisath would not harm her, for dragons were not generally violent beasts and Aveleth had difficulty seeing one attack another. But there were other ways to hurt someone than to attack them! Feeling it would be pointless to bother the pretty green by stressing his worry, Aveleth simply nuzzled her gently and mentally frowned at the spike of playful abandon in Z'ia's emotions. A sigh escaped the dragon, and he looked sadly at Rilaleeyth.

He has no idea how to behave, Aveleth said meekly.

J’ver’s eyes went wide when he was pulled into and held for a kiss. It figured it would happen right after mentally congratulating Z’ia on being one of the better riders to win him. Yet he couldn’t quite blame the tiny man since he himself had led them into more intimate interactions with his own playful fluttering touch. Still, did he pull away offended? Should he slap Z’ia for daring to take more than he deserved? Or, and this one was very appealing, return the kiss and in the process likely unbalance the bluerider? J’ver smirked against the playful mouth and took control of the moment, giving the man a taste of what he’d never truly have thanks to his commitment to S’kef. Even so, it was fun to tease people and Z’ia earned it more than others since he played along instead of having a fit and getting violent.

After several moments, he disentangled himself from the smaller man, smug arrogance radiating from him. “Shall we walk to the bathhouse together? We’re both in need of a cleanup and I am willing to bet your clothes are still crumpled up in a pile there.” J’ver didn’t place much stock in Z’ia being neat and orderly, and in fact probably gave the bluerider too much credit by assuming the dirty clothes were even in a pile. No doubt they were scattered around the edge of the bath.

J’ver is no better. He doesn’t always behave with Tyrrisath’s rider either. Rilaleeyth sighed, unsure what either of them would do with their humans. They were fun to watch with the casual way they could interact, something she didn’t see J’ver do with many people in any situation but they also seemed always on the verge of pushing buttons and ruining the calm surrounding them. She also knew it was time to separate the men even if she didn’t want to move from her darling blue’s side. If J’ver and Z’ia stayed together too long, they would likely cause trouble for each other or those around them and Rilaleeyth never liked when people started yelling at J’ver or in general.

With another lick to his cheek, Rilaleeyth sat up, looking first in the direction of their humans and then back at Aveleth. Should we encourage their departure now? The poor Master Healer will want his office back at some point as well.

Z'ia was deeply amused by the way J'ver took control of his teasing kiss, the bluerider letting him have at it with a sense of childish abandon, his eyes laughing and the sound escaping his lips as the greenrider pulled away, looking as smug as ever. Z'ia simply smirked. "Feel better?" he asked coyly, an eyebrow arching smoothly above dancing green eyes.

"After you," Z'ia replied, bowing with a theatrical flourish and opening the door dramatically with a wicked grin. He didn't comment on J'ver's assumption of his being a messy dumper of clothing, figuring what the greenrider didn't know wouldn't hurt him. The tiny rider's clothing was in fact perfectly kept and carefully put aside before bathing. While Z'ia didn't wear anything flippant (and those who did were subject to cruel mocking) the bluerider took a great deal of pride and care in his clothing. Not that J'ver needed to know that. It was much more amusing to watch the greenrider make his snide assumptions.

It would be wise, Aveleth agreed softly, following the pretty green's example and sitting up tidily and curling his tail around himself. Have you finished playing your games? The young dragon's eyes were mildly disproving as Z'ia came springing out of the Hall, the man's steps as light and poised as ever, the towel secured with one hand.

"For now," his words were almost sung, as he stopped by his dragon's nose. You did well, Kiddo. Thank you. Are you walking? I believe so. Would you like a bath tomorrow? It was much too late to bathe his pretty beast now, but the blue deserved to be as clean and sweetly scented as he himself would shortly be. That would be lovely.

The young dragon's attention shifted, gaze resting delicately on Rilaleeyth. Walk with me? It was a timid request, as if he weren't sure the pretty lady would be interested, in the walk or with spending time with him, or perhaps both. Perhaps it was unwise, to tempt fate after their flight together - surely Tyrrisath would be most displeased - but Aveleth could always use the assistance with controlling his human. Perhaps we can keep them separated. Unless, of course, the other pair were going to fly. In either case, it was a fairly moot point as Z'ia paid J'ver not a lick of attention as he prattled on mentally to Aveleth. Sinze Z'iz had no immediate plans for the following day, it was adding up to include a long bath, followed by a dedicated massage, and (more than likely) a lot of sunbathing for the pretty blue.

Aveleth decided rather abruptly that he should win more flights.

“Hardly. The kiss was still with you,” J’ver replied without missing a beat before his gaze swept over the office to make sure he had collected all of his belongings. He was tempted to go through drawers and cupboards to find something for the skin irritation – and maybe a little numbweed for the aches that flights brought out – but resisted. Talian would be less than agreeable over his office being snatched away from him, no need to further upset his sweet Healer by ransacking and helping himself. Besides, he was certain a long soak in a hot bath would do wonders.

At Z’ia’s dramatic bow and door-opening, J’ver allowed himself to be amused but quickly schooled his expression back to that of arrogance and waltzed through the door without looking at the bluerider. Once outside, he gave pretty green a pat to her nose and did a quick survey of her hide to see if she had been hurt. Aveleth never hurts me. He’s very kind and gentle. J’ver nodded, not at all blind to how timid Z’ia’s dragon was, but he also knew Rilaleeyth submitted as soon as the male was reaching for her. His little beauty didn’t like pain or being marred any more than he did.

You flew gracefully today, pet, J’ver smiled softly for Rilaleeyth as she nuzzled her nose along his shoulder. But Tyrrisath was none too pleased about the outcome. J’ver chuckled softly, still indulging his dragon with petting and mental cooing over her flight. Of course he was. S’kef will be upset as well; they always are when they don’t win. We’ll visit them after we both bathe. There was no sense in worrying, not when it was normal for the brown pair to have a fit on the few rare times they didn’t win.

I would love to, Aveleth, Rilaleeyth spoke softly, almost embarrassed by how much kindness the blue showed her. She was also thankful that J’ver allowed them both to walk. He was always in a better mood after a good flight and despite how Z’ia liked to push buttons, he was one of the gentler men J’ver had bedded. But it was odd how they could play about when alone but as soon as they left the room, they forgot the other existed. It didn’t matter that day, though, since both riders seemed content to ignore the other but let their dragons continue to spend time together.

Rilaleeyth crooned softly and gave a quick lick to Aveleth’s cheek before falling in behind J’ver as he started for the bathhouse, her own steps holding a bit more confidence that evening.
