R'dal knew he was running late--he always was. He never meant to be late for parties but he always ended up distracted either with a craft he was working on, chatting with someone, or enjoying a really good nap. This time had been a nap after watching the weyrlings play in the Bowl. They were so energetic and loud! But he finally made it and didn't think he was too late as he slid from Edath on the somewhat crowded ledge. He greeted the dragons as Edath excused himself to go visit Halomirth.
R'dal made his way inside and smiled brightly when he saw the birthday girl. She came his way a moment later for a hug and an exchange of pleasantries before she nudged him to go deal with F'drel. He giggled but was worried that F'drel was being extra anti-social since there was about twelve too many people past the greenrider's usual comfort level tolerance.
He bounced on over to F'drel and went in for his usual hug. "Hi! Sorry I'm late. I was visiting the round babies and then needed a nap from just watching them run around so much. Did I miss anything exciting? Oh, cookies and cupcakes!" R'dal's attention drifted as his gaze went around the room and landed on the snacks.
He grabbed F'drel's hand and tugged until his friend was a willing follower and led them to the table of food. "We definitely need to try everything. Mylo said she baked the cookies so maybe only one of those but C'dhin did the cupcakes so I bet you can't eat just one!" Issuing the challenge, he grabbed one and held it out for F'drel.
