T'ryn had long ago gotten over the nerves that came with going to his aunt's house since he was used to the varying personalities and the teasing and embarrassing stories that always came when family got together. But today was a bit different. For one, Tazikel was coming with Mylorah and he liked the Lordling and didn't need him judging him by his family's antics. But the bigger thing was, he had somehow given himself a blind date with a new friend's twin sister. Add in his family, N'mor, and Casa, and he was doomed.

Still, he was looking forward to it and as promised to Caz, T'ryn was wearing his new leather pants, boots, and vest that were all created around a shirt he happened to like wearing for slightly more formal gathers. He thought he looked damn good, if a bit self-conscious since the pants were tighter than anything else he owned. He had spent the last two hours wearing them and constantly moving around, making sure he actually could move despite all the testing done the day of the fitting. He'd even climbed up and down Syrendryth several times to ensure that wouldn't be a problem.

He had brought Tazikel to the Weyr earlier in the day so he could mingle with friends before Mylorah dragged him along as her date. They were cute together and he still couldn't help but wonder how serious it was underneath it all and whose heart would break first. Luckily, he wouldn't have to bring Tazikel to Eridella's since A'tay and Xyxyth volunteered and Casa and Thallyath were taking Mylorah. B'jin and R'nd were picking up their other dragonless children so that meant he was left to bring only his... date.

As he made his way down to Caz's, T'ryn wondered again why he had jokingly made the offer to bring Cazan and why Caz thought it was a great idea. But if she was anything like her brother, he was confident they'd get along well and it sounded like she needed a night out as much as he probably did so it made sense in the end.

Knowing Caz said he'd be busy and likely not in when T'ryn came by, T'ryn knocked on the door and called out for his date instead. "Cazan? It's T'ryn. I'm here to pick you up." Assuming she didn't change her mind as soon as she laid eyes on him. He steeled himself, prepared for that potential outcome.

Cazan existed in a state of being a complete mess and the most put together she'd been in a long time. The dress she was wearing was sleek and form fitting, the skirt slit just enough to be easy to maneuver and dance in. More importantly it showed off just enough cleavage to remind the world that she had it (though she wasn't especially busty). It was sleeveless, but she had on a short dress jacket that matched to handle covering her arms. A not too scandalous bit of clothing that she thought made her look good.

She even had makeup that she was double checking in a small hand mirror. She wasn't nervous, she reminded herself. There was nothing to be nervous about. She was going to a simple family gathering as a guest, and she would be ensuring that he showed off all of her "brother's" fine leather goods. If anything she was actually looking forward to it. Should be fun.

The knock on the door quickly proved that she in fact was nervous as she jumped. It took effort to remind herself to not lower the pitch of her voice as she called out, "Just a moment!" One more quick check of her outfit to make sure everything was settled and she opened the door, stepping out to pretend to meet T'ryn for the first time. Even though Cazan had seen the man in the pants and had made the vest, it was an entirely different matter to see the whole outfit at once. He looked good in a way that she wasn't quite prepared for. It was like the fitting all over again. Almost. The more she thought about it the more she hoped it wouldn't be like the fitting all over again.

The memory had Cazan blushing slightly as she tried to introduce herself with a handshake. "Hello, I'm Cazan. My brother said he'd made you an outfit, and I must say you look quite good in it. He didn't quite describe it as much as he could have. He speaks very highly of you."

T'ryn caught his breath as Cazan appeared. He was both blown away by how beautiful she was in the classy and slightly revealing dress but also how much she looked like her twin. Considering the only set of twins he knew was R'vi and N'vian, he shouldn't have been quite so surprised at how identical they could be. Even he and A'tay were very similar and they had two years between them and different mothers.

He laughed, trying to hide his embarrassment at the way the outfit was checked out and the praise Caz had apparently given him and didn't fully note that it was a bit odd for the woman to shake his hand. Besides, what did he truly know about holders outside of his crazy family? "Let's hope your brother isn't prone to lying or exaggerating so I don't have to live up to too much hype." He really did hope Caz hadn't gone overboard in hyping him up so Cazan would agree to this. He could be enough of a disappointment without the added assistance.

"But it's lovely to finally meet you and thank you for accepting the invitation." Hopefully she didn't regret it once they got there. He sometimes caught the look in Mylorah's eyes that said she wished she hadn't shown up to his birthday dinner. She had definitely been overwhelmed but was slowly adapting to it all.

"If you're ready, Syrendryth is all geared up so we can leave at any time. I also have an extra jacket for you. I feel like I forgot to mention that we're going up to wintery Benden and the jump between is quick but cold as well." He was making a great first impression. Almost passing as chivalrous but failing because the act was done out of an over sight.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well. He said you were a gentleman, and that you'd been making sure he ate and took breaks to sleep." Cazan smiled, because now that she looked back it was rather kind of the bronzerider to look out for her in that small way. And though she was still a tad nervous about meeting so many new people at once and missing out on so much time to get work done, she was also curious and excited. A little bit proud as well if she thought about it. She wanted to see what everyone thought of T'ryn's outfit.

"And I'm as ready as I ever will be. Lead the way." Cazan set her arm around his as she remembered she was supposed to be a lady. She had somehow forgotten the part where they would have to ride a dragon to get there, and go between as well. Cazan was bound to do it eventually, she had promised to go watch the hatching coming up in Fort after all. That didn't make it any less anxious to try and go through the first time. She resisted the urge to ask about ghost dragons as she mentioned it would be her first trip on a dragon. If she hadn't been so nervous she would have appreciated the care that T'ryn took as he helped her up onto his dragon and walked her through the jump.

She did not see any ghost dragons in the brief seconds between but it hadn't been a very comforting place. If anything, it just seemed more likely to have ghost dragons in it now. She was clinging to the bronzerider when they landed, partially from the cold and partially from excitement of flying in general. It had been oddly exhilarating in a way that felt simultaneously too fast and too slow. She would have to thank him for the jacket once they got inside and she'd warmed up a bit.

T'ryn almost commented on how well she was taking flying, but figured that was due to her family asking for rides or at the very least, how she got to Ista Weyr. But he did smile as they came out above the Hold at the way Cazan clung to him. "Going between is pretty intense the first time for everyone. I was so nervous learning but it gets easier. Even the trip home tonight will be a lot more comfortable for you now that you know what to expect." He hoped, anyway. It was hard to explain the sensations that happened in a matter of heartbeats but after the first time, you really did know what to expect with the sudden coldness and the loneliness that could grip you if you stayed too long.

T'ryn helped her from Syrendryth and gave Cazan a moment to straighten her dress before taking her arm once more to lead her inside. Syrendryth wandered over to where the other dragons were milling around the open field, though he purposely ignored Thallyath as he went to sit by Rhezalth. T'ryn pretended he didn't notice any of the dragon drama or the comments Syrendryth was tossing at him as he helped Cazan out of her jacket and set hers and his own aside.

"Get ready for a lot of introductions and I won't blame you if you don't remember names," he led her into the main room where he could hear everyone laughing and talking, several conversations happening at once. He wished to slip in quietly but that was never an option with his family as his aunt and several others came over to greet him and check out the new girl he was with. The last time he'd brought a girl with him had been two years earlier with Casa.

"Everyone, this is Lady Cazan of Katz Field Hold. Cazan, this is my Aunt Eridella, Lady of this fine Hold. Her husband is back there with some of my cousins," he gestured to the group of men sitting by the fire but didn't name them just yet. He then started pointing as he went through the rest, "my father, R'nd of blue Ayyonth and his mate B'jin of green Larrikith. This is B'jin's son, N'mor of bronze Rhezalth and my good friend Casa of gold Thallyath. And then there are my siblings Mylorah with her date Lord Tazikel of Tillek Hold, A'tay of bronze Xyxyth, Wynera, and Benden."

He thought he had gotten everyone but then a vision in pink popped out from behind R'nd and B'jin and T'ryn smiled brightly. "And Andii! I didn't know you were coming as well. This is the young lady Amorandii, B'jin's daughter fostering in Telgar Hold." As he gave the girl a hug, T'ryn wondered why Z'rin hadn't come and shot N'mor a quizzical look. He didn't think the pair was fighting but Z'rin did ferry Lord Ista's family around so perhaps he was just busy.

Casa tutted playfully as she examined the dress she was going to wear to the family party. It was much too cool in Benden to get away with her usual lack of clothing, so she had gone shopping and come up with something she felt was rather unsuitable for her reputation, but was appropriate for her upcoming rank change. She was still more than slightly horrified at becoming the Weyrwoman of Ista Weyr, but well, Azrin had been helping her a great deal with setting up the whole thing so it would (eventually) be minimal work for maximum profit.

Brushing her hands over the soft fabric, Casa admired herself once more in the very expensive mirror she’d claimed when she first moved to the Weyr. The dress was very modest, falling down around her ankles and with long sleeves. It was almost too warm, standing in her weyr, but she knew Benden would be a lot cooler and she wasn’t dressed to create a scandal. Instead, the dress was made to be modest, while allowing her the luxury of riding her dragon – the skirt was actually two flowing pant legs, which looked like a full skirt on the ground. Casa rather liked it, though she didn’t like the fact that it would take forever to strip out of, if she wanted to get laid that night. Not that she was planning to fuck anyone in a dark corner of Eridella’s hold (too many children around) but the point still stood. She shamelessly preferred her short skirts and their easy removal.

Once she was content with her outfit – low-heeled and laced boots had completed the look – Casa had put Thallyath’s riding straps on the gold, and they’d collected Mylorah before taking off once more, winking between and appearing over the familiar lands that their Aunt lived on. Casa glanced around, noticing no shortage of dragons – most of whom Thallyath greeted with a friendly air, some she was more standoffish to – and they landed near the entrance. Dismounting, Casa removed Thallyath’s riding straps and tossed them towards the pile of other straps, uncaring about whether they tangled up. Thallyath excused herself as Casa and Mylorah entered the building, quickly wrapped in the warm embrace of indoor heating.

Leaving Mylorah to find her date and entertain herself, Casa sidled up to Eridella and grinned at her ‘aunt’. Casa gave the woman a kiss to the cheek and chatted cheerfully with her as more people arrived in small groups – the benefit of arriving on dragon back. When Eridella’s attention shifted pointedly, Casa lifted an eyebrow and followed her gaze. It took Casa a moment to realise that it was T’ryn that was waltzing in wearing leather that looked little more than a second skin. Casa’s lips twisted into a mischievous smirk as she swept towards her friend and occasional lover. While Casa controlled her expression enough not to send this Lady Cazan fleeing, the look she gave T’ryn spoke volumes of mischief and lust.

“T’ryn!” she exclaimed, once he had finished his introductions, and to break the stunned silence that seemed to have filled the void after he spoke. “You look divine!” she flashed him a look that promised all kinds of fun, especially the kind that included being naked and sweaty, and reached forward to grab his hand, yanking him away from his date so she could spin him around, licking her lips with a laugh, and glancing mischievously at Lady Cazan. “It’s going to take you hours to get him out of those pants! I do hope you’re patient!” Her wicked glance moved back to T’ryn as she heard N’mor choke behind her, the other bronzerider coughing several times before he shut up. Pity.

Even with the warning she wasn't really prepared for the sheer size of T'ryn's family and for a moment wasn't sure if he was actually telling the truth about this being primarily a family affair. At least his introduction of her as a Lady of Katz Field Hold helped to kick her back into the proper mindset as she gave small polite curtsies and her best polite (if a little nervous) smile. There were so many names for her to remember, and she was positive she'd misheard one name entirely; the party was at Benden after all, so likely there wasn't someone also named Benden. At least so far everyone seemed to appreciate the pants! Or at least everyone had looked, some more than others.

And then the woman he'd introduced as Casa came to snatch T'ryn up and spin him about. Cazan might have protested if the maneuver hadn't done an excellent job of showing the pants off. And then the woman turned to her, and her face immediately reddened at the mention of removing said pants. She knew for a fact it wouldn't take hours to get him out of them even if he hadn't put on any lubrication ahead of time, but there was no way she was going to mention that. Her eyes immediately focused on T'ryn's crotch at the memory before she could think to tear them away. If she was more familiar with Casa she might have made a comment to the point that she was certainly clever enough to de-pants him in shorter time, but the bright and bubbly woman was still a stranger.

So instead she gently cleared her throat and made sure she sounded properly feminine as she replied, "Oh T'ryn and I only just met, I wouldn't want to be improper. And I'm sure he can handle removing them. If he has trouble, my brother made the pants, so I'm sure he would have some tips or tricks to help." Cazan normally wasn't a big drinker, but she found herself wishing she had a glass in hand so she could hide her face behind it as she tried (and failed) to avoid glancing back at T'ryn's pants.

T'ryn stumbled but kept his balance when Casa yanked him forward and spun him around. He tried to protest but her words stopped him and he knew he was turning bright red from embarrassment. They were in front of his dad! Then again, his dad used to be known as the biggest playboy around and probably didn't care that his son sounded that way and probably would have replied with something flirty. All T'ryn could do was imitate a fish gasping for air as he tried to stop thinking about Casa stripping him naked and how he hoped it went a lot smoother than when Caz helped him. Then again, Casa would take such a slap as an invitation... oh help him, he had definitely been corrupted by his friends.

And then Cazan was speaking up and becoming the polar opposite of Casa with her demure response. And T'ryn was literally standing between them and suddenly feeling like an object they might bicker over. Only, he would lay down bets that it would end up with them both offering him to the other woman out of politeness or a game, depending on which woman was speaking at the time.

So, since he wasn't his dad with his easy flirty nature and simply had no idea how to reply to any of the teasing, T'ryn went with the worthy tactic of deflection. "Yes! Cazan's twin brother Cazelerias is an amazing leather craftsman and not only made my pants but the vest and boots as well." He struck a pose to show off the whole ensemble, feeling a bit silly as he did since he hated being the centre of attention. But he did bring it upon himself by wearing the outfit--though he really did love it and would have been a fool to never show it off. "He's staying at Ista Weyr right now but I'm sure he'd do any orders anyone has even if he goes back to the Hold or moves on elsewhere."

He moved back to Cazan's side and took her hand in his, "I know some of you," he eyed Mylorah and their friends, "might want to chat with Cazan some more, but we're going to get some drinks first." He almost stuck his tongue out at them but kept the maturity levels high by simply escorting Cazan across the room to the table set up with an assortment of beverages. He asked what she would prefer, poured her a glass, and then got himself a glass of juice as he still hadn't touched alcohol since the night of Bedith's maiden Flight.

Cazan was immensely grateful when T'ryn decided to distract from the discussion with Casa by posing and calling attention to her handiwork. Her brother's handiwork. The bronzerider was doing a very good job of showing off, and even promoting her business in general. She was glad to find her earlier bit of business napkin math was correct. The pants were an excellent investment, and T'ryn looked damned good in them too. Now she just had to deal with this crowd of people who probably thought they were dating.

She was still slightly blushing when he saved her from any more conversations. One glass of red wine was probably enough to help calm her nerves without putting her into any dangerous moods or mindsets, and she took the glass gratefully before taking a sip. With her belly a little warmer and her cheeks flushed with more than just embarrassment or whatever other foreign emotion was going on in her head she took a glance around to make sure there were no eavesdroppers nearby.

"So, I know you tried to warn me a little bit about your family, that it was large... but I feel like you understated it a bit." Her voice was hushed as she tried to keep it from carrying, she didn't want to offend anyone after all. "Thank you for taking me over here for the drink. That was quite the nice pose you pulled off, and I'm a bit impressed you didn't fall over when your friend... Casa? When she spun you about. I bet you're a decent dancer."

Another sip from her glass and then Cazan looked back towards the bulk of the party, smiling in amusement as she thought aloud, "There won't really be any escaping them I wager. So, do we go back on our own or see how long we can hide from them without just leaving?"

N’mor wasn’t much of a fan of surprises. He didn’t mind them too much if he knew they were coming his way, but as a rule he wasn’t a fan. Which was why he wasn’t thrilled when T’ryn came waltzing into the gathering looking so utterly fuckable that N’mor was worried someone would call him out on it. Thankfully, his shirt was long, and his pants weren’t nearly that tight and he was able to sort of slink along on the outskirts feigning conversation with various people as he slowly slunk closer. The woman he had expected – T’ryn had mentioned the ‘date’ in passing previously, he’d even mentioned in passing that he was getting some new clothing made. Nothing – nothing – he had said had in any capacity indicated that THAT was what he was going to look like.

Of course, it would be Casa that threw herself onto his friend, clearly embarrassing all three of them, and N’mor scowled at her, before choking in response o her comment, outraged at her saying such things in a Hold when everyone knew she was on the brink of being made a Weyrwoman. Was she really so lacking in class? Self-respect? Faranth! Managing to breathe again, N’mor lifted his glass of wine to his lips and took a sip, watching Casa laugh before wandering off with someone else. N’mor turned to watch T’ryn and his lady friend walk towards the drinks, and took another sip from his own glass, before following. He was rather proud of the fact that he wasn’t leering at T’ryn’s arse, but the look Mylorah shot him was far too knowing. N’mor lifted an eyebrow at her pointedly before turning away and catching up to his best friend.

“He’s quite good,” N’mor agreed with Cazan, speaking lowly as he joined them, and giving her a half bow of greeting, lifting his glass partly in a toast and partly to indicate his single hand was full and so explain why he didn’t take up her own to place a kiss on it. He’d spent far too much time around his own Aunt, T’ryn’s Aunt, and Lady Amarilla. Plus, he had his own goals of the future, and unlike Casa, N’mor had every desire to be a respectable person of authority. He would certainly not allow someone like her to be Weyrwoman when he claimed his own Weyr!

A crooked little smirk tilted up one corner of N’mor’s lips, “And you won’t escape Aunt Eridella,” he promised, pale eyes sparkling in amusement. “Especially as you’re a fresh face.” Turning to smirk at T’ryn, N’mor’s expression was wickedly playful. “You made quite the entrance, T.” Unable to let anyone – and especially not T’ryn – know how much he was lusting after his friend (especially since he’d worked so hard for the past couple years to squish that desire. Squish it into the depths of between and focus on Z’rin… who wasn’t at the party.) N’mor opted for teasing him, because that was normal. “I must say,” he added, flashing a wicked smirk, “It’s absolutely tragic that I’ll never be able to wear them.” Even if he did manage to steal the pants off T’ryn, and squeeze his slightly shorter, slightly broader frame into them, there was no way he’d be able to manipulate them with just one hand.

Turning back to Cazan, N’mor’s expression gentled into a warm smile, though his eyes still sparkled mischievously. “Your brother does fine work. Do you think he’d be interested in taking a look at some things for me? Most items, I’ve found, don’t cater to a missing limb.” And he lifted the stump of his right arm in a silly little shrug. The shirt he was wearing had been carefully cut at about elbow length, and then pinned back to neatly fold around the stump, which was only about a hand’s-width of limb past the shoulder. While in Katila, he’d managed to re-work his own clothes himself, albeit messily, but since the move North he’d yet to find someone who did good work, and while his Aunt had loaned him her tailor, N’mor found the idea of a Crafter of such fine work, who lived in his own Weyr (at least for now) to be far too tempting to let escape without a query.

Cazan turned in surprise when she the other man speak and she hid her face behind her glass for a moment as she desperately hoped he wasn't offended. After his rather polite and good natured greeting that was accompanied by only mild teasing she smiled in relief. N'mor seemed rather the sane gentleman compared to Casa's prior exuberance. She gave him a small curtsy in reply. "I like to think that I can be quite talented at wandering off if I need to be, but I certainly would not wish to vex anyone if they really were so eager to meet me."

She turned her attention back to T'ryn, smiling as she eyed the outfit (and if she was honest, the man) again. "Well they were specifically tailored to fit him. I believe my brother mentioned that he sewed them together while T'ryn was wearing them."

And with remarkable ease N'mor stole her attention back as she studied him, head tilted curiously as she peered at his fabric clad stump with an almost clinical curiosity that bordered on rude before she turned her gaze down to his pants and boots. She circled him, her posture and gait shifting ever so slightly as she adopted her more usual and purposeful working posture and motions. "I can..." no, he can she sharply reminded herself, "I can let him know. I'm certain that he can figure something out. He'd probably rather enjoy the challenge of designing something specifically to cater to you."

In an effort to get back into character as herself she smiled, shoulders relaxing and her pose settling back into something more relaxed and casual. "He might even be able to do a pair of form fitting pants for you, though you'd have to ask him about that. I'm not entirely sure I'll admit." Yes, this party was an excellent idea and she gave T'ryn a warm grin as she added, "You have such interesting friends."

"I'm a passable dancer," T'ryn replied, glancing down to his drink out of embarrassment. Doing so meant he missed N'mor creeping up on them and his embarrassment deepened as his friend praised him. He could move in time to the music and knew the steps to a few popular songs but there were definitely better and more confident dancers out there but he knew it was pointless to argue with N'mor and it would probably end with him having to show Cazan sometime.

"I really wasn't expecting such a reaction," he mumbled, taking a long swig of his juice and letting the two move into a conversation about commissioning work. That was something he was a lot more comfortable with and was happy that Cazelerias might end up with more work. He did momentarily tense up at the mentioning of him being sewn into the pants and wondered if anything else had been shared with Cazan about that time. It didn't seem like it, or at the very least, she didn't bring it up and T'ryn relaxed again, thankful to not have to think about his dick near other people again for a while.

"I was thinking about commissioning a pair of boots for you like these. But that would have required snooping through your wardrobe to find the right colour to get the accents in if I wanted to keep it a surprise." It was still tempting to order a piece for N'mor and it would be a lot easier to get it done now that his friend would already be going in and getting all measurements taken.

He laughed at Cazan calling his friends interesting and refilled his juice, "that's one way of putting it. They're all a handful in their own way but they keep me entertained." Sometimes a bit too much but he supposed he wouldn't trade any of them in. Except maybe Casa, he decided as he glanced up and saw her giving him another wicked grin. He should probably go talk to her, ask her to tone down the comments while they were among the Holders, but Casa did what she wanted so would it be worth the shot?

"If you don't mind, I'm going to leave you two alone for a moment while I go greet everyone properly and make them promise not to pester you too much when you get cornered by them." Honestly, N'mor was probably the only one he trusted enough to leave Cazan alone with. Everyone else would grill her about herself or tell stories about him or mention how cute they would be together. Vaera got a bit of that when he brought her last time and now T'ryn was wondering why he didn't just keep his mouth shut and bring her again since she would be used to them or just go solo.

Finishing his drink, T'ryn set down the cup and went off to greet his aunt before his dad and B'jin where he begged the men to try and behave. When he made his way closer to Casa, the damned woman smiled way too innocently and slipped out of the room leaving him with no option but to follow.

"Have fun, try not to let them tease you too much." Cazan gave T'ryn a smile as he went to go perform his obligatory socialization duties. He was such a courteous young man, making sure that she had company before going to tackle his relatives. She turned her attention back to that company with a warm smile as she started to talk about work again, opening with an explanatory, "Sometimes I help my brother brainstorm when coming up with new designs, so maybe I can help cut down on your consultation time with him."

She kept the conversation about N'mor's needs and limitations with his hand to a very basic level to avoid betraying her true skill, and mostly tried to stick to general style preferences and best case scenarios regarding fit and final look if her brother could get the fastenings right. Cazan wasn't a very big drinker, but she did try to follow the generally polite social protocol of matching someone for drinks. That combined with how caught up she was in the thought of more work (and more exposure for that work, she imagined N'mor would be another good walking advertisement) meant she didn't really notice when their glasses were refilled.

Cazan did notice that it was getting a bit stuffy though. It was warm enough that she shrugged off her small dress jacket to leave her arms exposed and help cool herself off. The garment was draped over the back of a chair and forgotten as she continued to chat with N'mor. Her sense of time was rather nebulous, she didn't even notice his distasteful glances up towards Casa, as she glanced around, wondering how she was going to warm back up just the slightest as she realized that without any sleeves the room was just a touch too cold.

The next thing she knew, she was shooting back the rest of his wine and handing the empty glass back to him to hold while she fussed with the buttons of his vest. "There, can't spill the wine if there's none left. Now hold still while I get this off you." The vest would be perfect, she'd get to be cool with her arms free and just the slightest bit warmer than without. Once the garment had been secured around herself she refilled both of their wine glasses and gave N'more a curtsy, "Thank you sir, you are a fine gentleman. T'ryn needs more friends like you."

N’mor snorted at T’ryn, giving him an amused but somewhat flat look and shaking his head. His friend really was oblivious to his own good looks, and while it was endearing it was also terribly annoying at times. The young bronzerider’s attention was diverted from his blushing friend to the Lady as she began circling him like a carrion bird, and N’mor’s eyebrows lifted slightly, watching her in amusement and a slight confusion. He wasn’t really used to being so obviously examined, though it was refreshing to not be leered at with sex clearly on the brain. Odd, but good. Especially when the expression was on a woman’s face.

Shifting slightly to look at T’ryn, N’mor lifted his glass in a small toast at the admission of a boots commission. He took a sip of the wine, swallowing the drink along with a quip he was going to make about T’ryn being in his bedroom, forcing his mind back to Z’rin – though honestly, that required drowning a quip about the bluerider, too, and N’mor sighed on a ghost of a breath, eyebrows furrowing for a moment before he brushed aside his own confusion and laughed softly at Cazan’s assessment. “I assure you, I am far from the most, ah, interesting,” a slight smirk was given, gaze glancing towards Mylorah and mouth opening to make a teasing remark about the girl when he caught the look Casa shot at T’ryn, and the way his best friend excused himself from the group and beelined after the goldrider.

Hot jealousy ripped through N’mor, and his lips pursed as he watched the pair duck out into the hallway. As much as he wanted to stop whatever trouble Casa was no doubt going to get T’ryn into, and as much as he also wanted to forget the damned woman existed, N’mor was far too aware of his new duty T’ryn had put upon him – babysitting the fresh blood – and he turned his attention to Cazan and smoothed his features. He let the woman draw him into chatter about his commission of her brother’s skills, intrigued and curious but also too distracted by the fact that T’ryn and Casa still hadn’t come back to really pay attention. It was also why he didn’t notice that Cazan was matching him drink for drink, and N’mor drank a lot. He was a bit of a fish for wine in general, but with the added mess of emotions and thoughts, he drank more than usual, and filled her glass whenever she offered it when he was refilling his own.

“That’s Benden!” He said indignantly, absolutely horrified, when Cazan took his glass and tossed back what was left in it without any consideration for such a wonderful batch. He stared at her, still trying to figure out what on Pern was going on, when she put the glass aside and started undressing him!? “Whoah!” N’mor said, absolutely horrified, and more than a little mortified as she nipped around him swiftly, removing his vest before he’d managed to turn a full circle trying to follow her movements. “My lady!” N’mor hissed, stepping back to safety when she was distracted by his vest. He was bewildered as she put it on and then thanked him, pale eyes wide as saucers and absolutely bewildered. He’d spent time around Ladies, but none of them had ever done anything like that – they were far too demure for such actions, even drunk.

N’mor’s eyes narrowed, and he studied Cazan’s face. He didn’t need to know her, to pick up on the glassy sheen of too much alcohol. N’mor’s lips pursed, and he stepped closer to Cazan, reaching out gently to take her elbow. “How about a tour of the Aunt Eridella’s gardens?” he asked, deciding the chilly nip of the evening breeze would help sober the girl up. “And a glass of water,” he decided, waving down a server and handing Cazan a glass, then linking his arm with hers and leading her towards the gardens. He told Rhezalth to tell Syrendryth where they were going, if T’ryn had any interest in his odd little Lady friend, what with Casa no doubt – N’mor pursed his lips and turned his attention back to Cazan, sharing with her information about the Hold and his extended non-blood family as they walked slowly.
